Tao Hong bakery has been added to my must-visit list in NYC. Everything about the experience really impressed me - certainly the bakes but also the warm demeanor of the ladies who helped me. I got an egg tart, roast pork bun, and red bean pineapple bun. I'd give all of them 5 stars!! The stars aligned for me during my visit and everything I got had just come out of the oven. Love, love, love this bakery. I always get the moon cake. The last time I was in there the woman told me to try a egg tart because it was fresh out the oven and when I tell you it was soooooooooo good. She saw my reaction and started laughing. Lol. Love this bakery.

I always regret not buying more when I come here! Got a pineapple bun with red bean filling and it was AMAZING. Was pleasantly surprised that the red bean filling only had a slight touch of sweetness (I suspect this is made in-house so they can control the amount of sugar added). Bun was a hefty size so I told myself to leave the other half for tomorrow but ended up inhaling it in one sitting. Will be back for more!! :)
