“Very good bakery. Croissant was right on with texture and flavor for American. Have not try the real French style, so I can’t tell. Baguettes is nicely baked and texture is just right, not to dense or chewy. Wished it could warmed up for eating on the spot.“

“I first tried the cereal-flavored ice cream at this West Village spot 6 years ago and recently had it again.

As someone who loves cereal flavors and often eats the fine size ones from the grocery store, I realized there's a stark difference in the creaminess and taste when it's made fresh at this place.

The texture is unbelievably smooth and the flavors are so much richer.

“A few years ago, I was hired to write a series of articles about regional Italian cuisine. Since then, I have been looking for traditional Italian gelato. Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!“

“While vacationing in NYC we wanted to try a few shops specializing in French pastries. Petit Chou won hands down! The chocolate and salted caramel éclairs were amazing! We also tried the cinnamon rolls, croissants, blueberry cheesecake and strawberry rolls. I can't pick a favorite - everything was outstanding! We are looking forward to the next visit in November! However the guys at the cash register (Senny and Denny) were super nice and made a very cute sign for me anyway, which I really appreciated. The cake was custom made in line with the theme of our shower, cultivating a beautiful sense of creativity and welcoming our baby to the world with so much sweetness. We received an incredible array of Tres Leches cupcakes, Chocolate Eclair cupcakes, and an amazing lemon cake that was decorated artistically. WOW! “This location is very busy, but everything I got was delicious. If you need something toasted/heated, it’ll be hard getting help (since they’re busy). The staff were extremely courteous and nice. I imagine there must be a lot of theft with the pasty in the middle aisle.“

“We've visited Laduree in Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, NYC and Toronto. This iconic French brand has the most beautiful + yummy macarons anywhere. Paris (mothership) and Toronto also have the prettiest cafes. The Madison store is well-situated but more table space would allow customers to enjoy both the patisserie's incredible treats and the sites/sounds of the Upper Eastside. Oct 2024 - still a wonderful oasis on the Upper Eastside. Delicious Plaisir Sucre + Eugenie.“

“Excellent Original cheese tart!! So good, buttery crust, cookie like, nothing too sweet. Loved it. The Black Sesame needs more black sesame flavor though. Really love this place. 5 stars for that original flavor! But 3 stars for black sesame unfortunately.“
