“Wow, what a CUTE tea shop. I love tea, so I was so happy to finally visit this shop on my trip from CA. The shop is small but has plenty of seating. The vibe is quaint and elegant while still feeling welcoming and approachable—some high-quality tea places can sometimes be very snobbish which is a turn off.

Everything here feels so thoughtfully done, from the decor and music to the menu layout and the small traditional Taiwanese snacks served alongside the tea. There’s something for both a tea connoisseur or a tea curious beginner.

You can really tell how much love and care went into creating this space. The service was kind and welcoming as well. The staff Queenie and Nadira were fantastic. ✨🫶🏽✨

“I was in desperate need of spices for all of the Italian cooking that I do and found Sullivan Street Tea & Spice Company on a random Google search. I ordered immediately and received my order quickly. Not only did the spices arrive beautifully packaged but they are exactly what I was looking for! Very excited that I found this place!“

“The taro boba is 🔥 my beast friend and I casually walked from Williamsburg to Tea Art and it was absolutely amazing. I had the Taro, she had the green tea with lychee jelly, both were great with no artificial tastes. Definitely recommend“

“Such a wonderful experience at Jin Yun Fu Tea Shop! My husband and I did the Horizontal Tea Flight and tried the oolong, pu’er, and white tea. Each one was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully explained. After each pour you start to see the true form of the tea.

Olivia was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. She made us feel completely at home from the moment we walked in. The entire atmosphere was so zen and calming. Even with the busy street outside, it felt like we could truly slow down and just be present.

We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something intentional and special. We def want to come back for the Song Cha experience.“

“Love love love the teas I got in January. I love my earl grey teas and got a couple of kinds, plus a Scottish toffee pu-erh tea that has become a favorite. Comfy environment for a pot of tea or grabbing a bag.“

“Julian, Khadiza, Orchid, Mikka, and the whole team here are so wonderful! Delicious matcha, great plant-based options, excellent pastries and amazing seasonal drinks. The service is fantastic and they make a point of getting to know their regulars, which makes it such a lovely way to start the day. We love having this place in the neighborhood. Highly recommend the earth glow, the strawberry matcha, and trying whatever the seasonal drink special is— I have yet to try one I didn’t love!“

“Had a lovely morning tea at Paquita! The space is quaint and fields a little bit like a Victorian time capsule. The tea is priced extremely fairly and it seems like so much pair has been put into every utensil and cup. I had a pot of the mint chai, with a side of milk and honey, and it was delicious! I also had a slice of the Matcha loaf, which was a highlight. Highly recommend for a casual, but thoughtful the experience— feels like you’ve happened upon a little gem.“

“This place has made the best cookie and brownie combination ever. I love getting brookies in Brooklyn Heights from Alice's Tea Cup to Go. Plus, I have been to Chapter I in Manhattan where they made a tasty salad and a delicious Alice's Croque Madame sandwich. Here's hoping we can all still support local business for Alice's Tea Cup whether it's still around in Brooklyn or Manhattan.“

“Wanting to take my daughter for a special treat whilst in New York for a few days we booked afternoon tea in the Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel after knocking back the Plaza after reading a few dodgy reviews. So pleased we did as we spent over 2 hours enjoying every moment. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the warm scones. It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection. Lovely small intimate setting too where we felt our custom was welcome rather than feeling just a number as we were one of just 3 tables there. Would we return? Absolutely!“

“A cute cafe with beautiful pastries that taste just as good as they look. The pastries were both visually appealing and delicious.

The space inside isn’t very large, but there is seating available if you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee and dessert. A lovely spot to stop by for a sweet treat.“

“Chai Spot is the ultimate third space, and one of my favorite places in NYC. I am a frequent flyer here. I come all the way from Brooklyn. Every time I have come to do work, create, or savor a delicious homemade chai with a friend, I have always found a seat in the back. I appreciate Chai Spot's intentional atmosphere. Soft music and soft lighting create a soft atmosphere, where friends sit comfortably and enjoy quiet conversations. I cannot say enough positive things about this hidden gem in Lower Manhattan. One of the city's best kept secrets (selfishly, I hope it stays that way!)“

I wanted to bless her on the special day we picked up her wedding gown from Kleinfelds & he went so far beyond all my dreams& hopes! I truly have never had better service ever! His attention to every special detail, from making sure everything was perfect & to her complete satisfaction, to blessing her with an incredibly special chocolate surprise & even sweet extra tokens! He was just so very kind to us both! He made our experience at The Plaza a forever memory for us both!“

“We hosted my daughter's bridal shower at this beautiful spot in March 2026. It was an intimate setting and just enough room for all 18 of us. The owner, Karen is lovely and very accommodating and worked with me to have what we needed for the day. However, on the day of the shower my daughter and I arrived a bit early (which we cleared with Karen) about 3pm as the shower was at 3:30pm and the place was now being set up. We were told by Vanessa to wait outside which did not help to set the mood for the afternoon. Our guests arrived and no one offered to take our coats or showed us where to put them. While serving, Vanessa spilled a dessert on one of my guest's coats and did not offer to clean up or even asked if we needed anything. We had to constantly keep looking for her as she was not at all attentive. We had agreed on the High Tea and when some of us ordered the egg salad we were told they were out. We had made reservations at this place at least a month in advance and I was very surprised that they were out of that menu item. For me it was an ok experience and not totally what I had hoped for or expected after speaking with Karen. Vanessa needs to either be better trained or they should have someone else help when there is a large party. Fortunately, most of mu guests only saw the good things about the Tea Room and were happy with their experience. Karen was gracious enough to allow the pianist to stay for 2 hours which was a total delight. I would absolutely do a solo visit or tea for two again because of Karen.“
