“it’s an expensive restaurant but the burger was probably one of the best we eaten!the atmosphere is very nicethe only thing you should be aware is the waiting timewe ordered a table for 9pm (on a Sunday) and waited 15 minutes for an available table“
“We loved everything! And I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. Vanilla egg cream, classic board, toasted bagels, breakfast martini, halva ice cream, latkes, some other kind of fish board ( ?can’t remember, but it was good)The servers and host were all very hospitable and quick, but we did not feel rushed from our table at all.“
“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“
“If you want a delicious burger, that’s the place. Excellent service by the stuff at Au Cheval, knowledgeable of their menu and very friendly. The burger obviously it’s a must, the salad is fresh and full of flavor, the wings are incredible with a bit of a kick (wet towels provided). I also recommend the bone marrow, very delicious.“
“This was everything you wanted in a dinner experience. For starters there is something fun about walking the graffiti lined streets of the LES into an unexpected fine dining experience. The staff from our actual waitress to the Som to the people delivering our food were personal and fun and added to the experience. One of the owners (Raymond) even came around to chat. The food was outstanding; prepared to perfection but also taking risks which I love to see. At $112 the tasting menu is very reasonably priced for Manhattan and what you get. Instead of making the price unattainable they offer add ons if you want them. We got the caviar hand roll which was decadent and delicious but the tasting menu is great on its own as well. I’m already planning my next visit and will be rotating this in as one of my faves.“
“Our group of 6 came in here for lunch while being violently hungover after a bender that consisted of American Bar to the Spaniard to Roscioli to Peculier Pub. Just a rough one. I could do that in college but I really feel it now smh.All this to say, Gramercy Tavern brought us back to life.I walked in here and felt like I walked into an Anthropology. I mean that in a compliment of the highest regard... Nobody touching Anthro, idc.The seemingly hundreds of flower arrangements, the natural light flowing in, the colorful art on the walls... It's just so happy in here.I sat out on hair of the dog and ordered a black americano because I'm a warrior, haha.We started with a dozen oysters and the grilled flatbread platter... I need to go on a side quest here about this flatbread platter. This was one of the best decisions we had made all weekend, honestly probably the best. This flatbread HAS to be made in house with how it was tasting. God it was so good... It reminded me of making homemade tortillas back in elementary school on Cinco De Mayo. Those were like CRACK.When we destroyed the flatbread and there were half the dips left, our waitress came by and said "do you guys want some more flatbread?" ... We all just kind of made eye contact with each other around the table like "That's an option!?!?"We got a re-up on the flatbread and sent that to the shadow realm as well. All this to say, get the flatbread.I think 4 of the 6 of us got burgers lol, but it was so necessary with being that hungover... One of those hangovers where if you think too hard your thoughts will rattle off of your brain. I was fighting for my life.I got my burger medium rare, as that's what the recommend and it was a little too rare for me ahahha but nobody to blame but myself, because I asked for this. Still good though don't get it twisted. The chips that came with the burger were perfect as well. For dessert, we got the Apple Cider donuts and the Chocolate Chunk Cookie. When the apple cider donuts came my internal dialogue was like "Damn, $18 for 3 little donuts" ... but I've never been so happy to be proven wrong. These were the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Granted, I'm not the biggest donut guy ever but I have dabbled, and these are IT!I also need to highlight the staff, as they are LOCKED in here. Bringing all our plates at the same time and clearing them in unison is such a small attention to detail that makes a HUGE difference. It’s not in a try hard way either. They are always smiling and seem genuinely happy to be working here, and it’s infectious. I actually just got back from the Locked In Factory, and they knew the entire Gramercy Tavern staff…One of the best vibes of any restaurant I have been to in New York City, even while battling a ruthless hangover. I'LL BE BACK FOR THAT FLATBREAD! FLATBREAD ALL STARS!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“
“If we could give 10 Stars we would. A magical and unforgettable night. Impeccable service from the moment you step into the entrance, it felt like a different world. The food was superb, presentation a dream but what made the night was the service! Professional, cheeky and attentive, Ricardo and Mynor are an attentive dream team. The hero of the night were the desserts by the Pastry Maestro Shaun and his team. We are incredibly grateful to have experienced a night at Restaurant Daniel.Vegetarian options: A dream and so creative!Dietary restrictions: The team is so informed and flexible when it comes to dietary restrictions“
“What a delightful place to have a great time with friends for bottomless brunch! Helena was a delight, never letting us hit the bottom and smiling to annoying people who keep ordering mimosas. The food was great and very gluten free friendly, which is rare for brunch!!!“
“I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the vibe = blaring pop music. The food and plating is out of this world, but we could barely hear the server explain our dishes to us. If this is an elevated dining experience, then why am I listening to Justin Bieber and The Weeknd? I don't need to hear an autotuned artist sing about how they feel most authentic when they're high while paying that kind of bill. When your customers are adults, maybe treat them that way?“
“Ambiance is always low key and chill no matter how packed this place gets the vibe is always chill and never rushed.. as many places in city are crammed this one is no exception. After being say in between two dinner parties along the benches we felt smothered and opted for seats at the bar. Ofc, the chicken is worth it all. Its almost a crime to eat here and not have the crispy seasoned to perfection chicken drizzled with hot honey!!! 10/10 recommend! Enjoy“
“Espectacular... Atención 100 de 10, comida exquisita, precio asequible, los meseros y la chef super atentos y muy cordiales. Aunque hoy estuvo muy nublado y lloviendo entonces no se apreciaba la vista, y el mirador estaba cerrado por los fuertes vientos. Buen motivo para volver.“
“Definitely had an enjoyable brunch at Jacob’s Pickle. The drinks were delicious, and service was pretty good but I could tell the waitstaff were a bit stretched. I had the hot chicken biscuit, which was so delicious. The sandwich was huge, pickles were extraordinary, and the hot sauce they use is not only hot but also very flavorful. We had to purchase a bottle of hot sauce to go home, that’s how good it was! My husband got the chicken and pancakes, and the chicken was tasty but the pancakes were dry and thick. We will definitely be back and will just stick to the chicken, biscuits and pickles which you can’t go wrong with!“
“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Highly recommended!“
“This was our second outstanding dinner at Union Square Cafe in the last month. As with our previous dinner, tonight’s dinner at USC was superb in all respects. The food was delicious - from the scallop dish (created in honor of the renowned Paris bistro L’ Ami Jean), pristine Tuna Crudo, decadent Arroncini, Steak Tartare, delicately cooked Cod in an aromatic shellfish broth and a rich breast of Duck. The performance of the USC kitchen was impressive; there was not an off note in the entire dinner.Union Square Cafe revolutionized “hospitality” in the restaurant industry. Tonight’s service was a reflection of this seminal service ethos. The service provided by Bob Yee was wonderful. Mr. Yee personifies the legendary warmth of service which was the foundation of this iconic, ground breaking restaurant four decades ago. Under the watchful eye of GM Mike Pernicano and long time team members such as Mr. Yee , USC remains a New York treasure. It should be noted that the USC wine list remains one of the City’s finest, with carefully curated selections from across the globe. The USC wine list is fairly priced (as it has been since the restaurant shocked the industry with its groundbreaking focus on artisanal producers from France and Italy). Such consumer friendly pricing stands in contrast to the predatory wine markups prevalent throughout the restaurant landscape.“
“We were staying at Arlo SoHo while in New York and we hadn't booked anywhere to eat on our last night so we decided to eat at Lindens in the hotel. My wife had the pasta pomodoro and I had a cheeseburger with some fries on the side to share. All of the food was so tasty and the mocktails were fantastic as well. Our waitress was attentive but also gave us plenty of space so we could enjoy our final night in NYC. Very highly recommend this place!“
“The Noortwyck is excellent. It's a rare restaurant that's elegant without being stuffy, that executes perfectly without showiness. It just works for so many occasions, and has become my go-to in the West Village.I'd recommend any of the pastas they have available, and definitely save room for dessert.(Also, their take-home Thanksgiving pies are incredible; they're the reason I look forward to November every year.)“
“A must for caviar lovers….It’s a luxurious experience with top-to-top feel and a menu to boot. We are upstairs for a small and cozy dining experience…but you can also sit at the bar or go to the lounge in the back-all on the first floor.“
“Really great experience - try to get a table near the kitchen.I see a lot of raving about the Gruyère fritters, but these were probably the most disappointing item we had. They’re basically mini churros with a bit hot oily cheese. I’d skip them and try some of the other starters instead. Also, the sauce with the pork katsu wasn’t great - tasted too much like a basic mayonnaise and didn’t add much. But without it, the katsu was a bit underwhelming. The sprouts were delicious. If it’s available, get the sweet potato.“
“I've been going to Gallaghers for years. Best steakhouse in the city and just a class place. My only reason for not giving 5 stars across the board, was last time I was there I wanted to have a drink at the bar prior to setting down as I customarily do. But a young maitre'd suggested insisted I sit first. I was in time and the room was not full yet. When our table was in the back in a middle row between others I wasn't happy. Only time I wasn't 100% satisfied. I am going back, hell yeah. But I'm having a drink at the bar first!“
“The wine selection is outstanding, accompanied by a superb food menu that's straightforward and user-friendly. The ambiance is wonderfully minimalist, and the food is served at the ideal temperature with exceptional flavor. We enjoyed the Long Island duck and pork tenderloin, as well as steelhead trout and gulf prawns for starters. I highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself in NYC.“
“I took one of my best friends here for a birthday dinner on Friday evening. This restaurant has always been a favorite of mine and it never disappoints. Such a great ambiance, so New York that you almost feel as though you're in a film. Beautifully prepared food and top notch service as well. The nighttime lighting is perfect and everyone looks at their best. What's not to like?“
“It was me and my boyfriend's second time going to RH and each time we went we loved it! Raquel was our fantastic waiter and it was my boyfriend's birthday and he loved it. The food was amazing as always and the service was great! I'm obsessed with the ambiance with the seating and the chandeliers. It was a great balance of peaceful and liveliness. Can't wait to go back!“
“It was excellent, we had a great time at Gotham. The waiters, managers were also great and I felt I made the right choice to come to your restaurant. My lady really loved ambience, the food and general service. I also enjoyed the dessert ? which I normally don't prefer the choices I see in their menus.“
“Such a neat and stylish dining room. Service was super friendly and everything we ate was delicious: soup, clams (raw and fried), salmon, and more. only miss was the dip with house made potato chips, but the chips were divine. We will return.“
“We had such a great time here. First time ever at momofuku. We had The slow roasted pork bun and smoked chicken wings. Oh my God it was amazing. Not my favorite Ramen ever but very very good. There were no bad dishes. Get there early for seating!“
“The MOMA was our first stop on our recent trip to New York. I wasn't sure how the timing was going to work, so didn't make a reservation for The Modern and I was hoping we would be able to get walk in service. I also wasn't sure if we'd be able to get a full meal or just a snack as our dinner plans were rather early that evening. We decided to try and see what happened.Wow! I'm so happy we tried. We were helped through the locked door to The Modern by a very helpful staff member walking by, I was a bit shy to ask for help (I had already requested directions) and was met with a warm smile and enthusiasm. We were let into the locked door and walked down to the host stand. The hosts seemed really happy we were there :D Which was really nice, as I mentioned we hadn't made a reservation, so I was feeling a bit apprensive. We were shown to a table right away, after expressing we preferred a table to seats at the bar and got to take in the restaurant space. It's beautiful and it is exactly fitting to a modern art museum. It has a sophisticated and approachable atmosphere and it was obvious from the restaurant buzz that it was a true mix of clients - regulars, tourists, newbies - everyone was here. Our server was professional and polished and very helpful. We quickly realized that a full meal was not happening that visit, but we both absolutely needed a snack and some wine before we set out to find the art we were looking for.As we hadn't made reservations, we had the The Bar Room Menu, which suited us perfectly. My husband had the steak tartare, as it's one of his favourites. He was very impressed with the plating, loved the taste and kept talking about how there was something wonderful and minty on his plate.I had the friend chicken, honey and fries from the snack menu and it was beautifully presented in it's own chicken bucket :D and was wonderfully tasty. Too bad for me, I couldn't finish it all, so if you order this when you visit, be sure to share it with someone. We indulged in a glass of wine each with our snack, as it was mid-afternoon, no bottle for us. The wine by the glass menu has a great selection and is varied. We really appreciated it.Even though it was a brief visit, we greatly enjoyed it and hope to return another time for a full meal.“
“Had a reservation a month prior dining, and finally the moment I took a bite of my blueberry pancake, I almost cried. It was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Insanely delicious, out of this world. Y’all really popped ur puthy off with this one.“
“This is a restaurant run by a lobster shop in Chelsea Market. There are many types of oysters, so it might be a good idea to use it as an oyster bar. It's a small shop, but the food is fresh and delicious. Also, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.“
“Absolute top of the line dining experience. My wife and I have been to numerous Michelin starred restaurants and after a while you feel like you’re just eating the same 17 course tasting menu over and over again. Luckily, Le Pavillon allows you to order proper portions and have a real meal and the overall experience was way more impressive than the already high expectations we had.I started with a take on chicken soup which was impressive and delicious, my main was a beef duo with incredible vegetables and sauces, and I finished with the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. My wife had an onion tart that was a play on French onion soup, incredible duck, and then a play on an ice cream cake. The service was impeccable and friendly without being snobby at all and the decor was beautiful, with an entire indoor garden in a high rise with tons of storefront glass. Look one way and there was nature - look the other and it’s the city. Everything was impressive and wonderful and we’ve already talked about returning.“
“A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. I would highly recommend the Consulate's Old Fashioned which has Mescal. The French 85 is also good.“
“I love this Craft Beer and Burgers but this place is amazing is like you were in Disneyland roller coaster of flavors and I’m very thankful to my Server Kendra L. Briggs to take care any time and how she’s rolling this place from the beginning to the end great food experience and service as well!!!!!“
“Had a wonderful meal this evening at Upland, really enjoyed my artichoke entree and was pleasantly surprised by my lobster main! Luis was so professional and attentive, I loved my complimentary guava sorbet and the honey ice cream was also delish. I highly recommend them, thank you for taking such good care of me for the two hours I was with you.“
“Food was tasty overall. Cocktails were great. Got the pandan punch (sweet). For food, we got the duck rilette, frog legs (it was alright), unisoba (uni was good quality), oxtail (favorite for the night), and their tres leches cake (it was really good). Service was amazing and so friendly.“
“Came here for lunch on a Monday (around 1pm) and was able to walk in without needing reservation. We got the schnitzel (tried pork and chicken) and also the apple schtrudel, they were all delicious! The schnitzels also came with 3 sides, so it was a good amount of food even if you are very hungry. I also loved the vibe of this space. I will definitely be back for dinner!“
“Enjoyed all of our meals. Some of the prixe fixe items were not on a la carte menu. Since we had no show to attend and not everyone wanted dessert, we were able to mix and match. Desserts of espresso panna cotta and bread pudding were the best we've ever had.“
“Absolutely 10/10 experience every time I go here. The staff is amazing and the food is out of this world. The best vegan calamari I've ever had BY FAR and the Chunk steak is prepared perfectly. I would 100% keep going back again and again“
“The food here was really good and the bottomless brunch option was a great addition to the meal. Our waitress, Daisy, was such a lovely person and was quick to meet any of our needs. I would definitely come again for the food and atmosphere!“
“Thank you to Chef Dan, Eliza and Kendra for accommodating our family and fitting us in for dinner. As always, the food was phenomenal and everyone who joined us was very impressed from start to finish. Loring Place will continue to be a favorite of ours for many reasons. Now it is becoming a favorite of the many friends and family that we continue to recommend it to“
“Visited bass on other tourist recommendations for a late breakfast. However it wasn't till I sat down that I was informed that the brunch offering was only available on the weekends.Having already been seated, it would have been rude to leave. I ordered the chicken salad dish which was delicious and well balanced. A tad over priced for what was served but in all an enjoyable meal.“
“Came here to have a wine tasting with my boyfriend and his friend. As I walk in the interior design is very cool. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Tonight wine tasting is from Sicily and the brewer is here tonight. It was a pleasure seeing him and how he explaining where the wine was from. We order a charcuterie while we taste the wine. Would recommend people to come and visit this place.“
“Since it opened, I've come here a few times for the occasional work dinner or special occasion. Revisited Marc Forgione for the first time in a while and I can say it never disappoints me. The food and service are consistently and reliably exceptional. It's difficult to choose a favorite dish. The meal seems to get better and better with each course, but the highlights were sun choke and caviar special, Hiramasa and the Halibut.“
“There were definitely a few standouts at abcV - love conquers all sparkling elixir, the california dates, avocado lettuce cups, and the cappucino for me, and the dosa for my husband - I'd go back for those items alone. We weren't sure how full we would be from the cauliflower so opted not to order it, even though it's their most popular dish. Will have to try it another time. We loved the elixir - it was like having a nice buzz, without having any alcohol. The dates were perfect bites of flavor explosion. The avocado cups brought me back to my childhood - I have no idea how the chef managed to recreate the flavors of an Indian dish called pani puri with these lettuce cups, but they did and man I could have ordered that dish two more times! It really made me miss my mom. My husband liked the dosa, but I think I am too much of a purist when it comes to dosa and prefer the traditional version. We ordered a mushroom dish (I cannot recall the name), but we should have probably researched the type of mushroom because it had an incredibly fishy smell and taste and I couldn't stand it. If you like that flavor, you'll like it, but it wasn't for us. We ordered the coconut sticky rice to go with this dish, but they forgot to bring the two items out together, so our rice was cold by the time the entree arrived and it didn't appeal to us as much. The waited offered to refire it, which was kind, but it would have been a waste of food and time and we didn't care for the taste of the mushrooms anyway.I am pretty sure we got dessert, but it wasn't memorable, however that cappuccino was! I will definitely be stopping in for another very soon. The service was fantastic from the moment we entered the door to being seated until we left. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and I loved how honest he was about the dishes after we told him our preferences. The vibe at abcV was much larger than I was anticipating, it felt like being in a big, fancy dining hall, but once you're at your table you didn't feel it as much.Definitely looking forward to going back to try a couple of the other dishes and getting that cappucino again :)“
“I celebrated my 60th birthday last night at Rocco's and what an amazing treat! From the restaurant manager who doesn't miss a single detail to the gentlemen servers who are all professionals with glowing personalities. We were provided with a dessert on the house so they could put a candle in it and sing to me. It was like listening to a well-trained Italian Quartet. The food was beyond reproach as were the drinks. I cannot wait to visit Rocco's again and would recommend to anyone in the area. The decor is wonderful and the attention from Vinny and his wonderful sense of humor only added to our wonderful evening.“
“10 out of 10. The food, service, and ambiance were all spot on. Everything pictured below was amazing. We also had, not pictured, the Ricotta dumplings with mushrooms and pecorino Sardo which were one of my favorites. The Endive salad was my number 1 favorite dish of the day. The Charcuterie and the sourdough bread , though basic sounding, really was delicious as well. The Executive Chef stopped at our table to see how we liked everything and that was such a pleasant personal touch. We tried both the Chocolate cake and the Panna Cotta and both were amazing as well. Really great experience and will definitley be back.“
“A pleasant experience , as I was visiting the area with my partner. Friendly welcoming hostess with a great ambiance, was a bit skeptical as the gluten free menu didn’t provide too many options, but our server fizan had recommended me to substitute the pasta for garlic mash on the bucatini and it was one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had! my girl loved the cornbread as well as the salmon bowl. Will be coming back! Hit the mark on all fronts.“
“I love this original location of p.j. clarkes! i've been here so many times it's hard to rate just one time. the service is always on point and the food is consistent. an elevated gastropub menu focused on a raw/chilled bar. but don't skip the burger and the chicken pot pie, both is which are fantastic. the bar area is first come, first serve, and reservations are taken for the main dining. even without a reservation a wait for a table isn't that bad. plus the red and white checker table cloth is such a fun novelty. oh and did I mention the martinis are big, nice, and cold?“
“I had a late Saturday brunch here -- first time visiting this establishment. Was bit hungry so ordered both my usual avocado toast but also a salad.I was very satisfied with the avocado toast. Probably my top 2 in Manhattan so far -- the toast was a little more on the crunchy side, which I like, and the avocado was nicely seasoned. Unique. Just the right combination of salty and herby and creamy, etc.For that I give 5 stars. The baby wedge salad was good, 4 stars on its own.“
“Barbuto is terrific. Really cool far west village location and it's a large space with a big bar (where we had a great house martini prior to dinner, the best way to eat out). The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. Also want to acknowledge the calamari salad which is maybe the best version of fried calamari I've ever had. Great place and I'm happy it's here!“
“Great food in an atmosphere that’s refined, yet comfortable. Great staff and outstanding food. We are there twice during our NYC visit and were very pleased with everything. My fruit salad on Sunday morning was divine. Love the quiet street scene outside and the pretty children’s park nearby.“
“*apologies in advance for the poor quality photos - the lighting wasn't conducive to capturing how brilliant and beautiful these dishes were. I was a bit hesitant going in as there were a few mixed reviews, and of course paying $145 pp, you want to be blown away. I had recently watched the Chef's Table episode on Dan Barber and was intrigued on the vegetable focus, farm to table tasting menu at Family Meal. Also, with the daily menu change you simply do not know what you'll be served. 2 hours later - I was blown away and amazed with the entire meal. The veggies served were unlike any veggies I have tasted before. The entire meal from start to finish was enjoyable. In addition, I was surprised how much fish and meat was served (for those worried about the lack of protein). Highly highly recommend this place. Well deserved Michelin Star, and of course the service matches that distinction. Honestly surprised this place isn't as hyped as it is.“
