“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“I had a wonderful experience here celebrating someone’s birthday! The staff were very attentive and every dish was a hit.

We splurged for the 14 day aged duck and it was so worth it — it’s now my favorite duck I’ve had in NYC! I’d recommend coming with st least 4 people if you order it.

The pan con tomate and frog legs were surprise hits for me, and I loved the chai tres leches cake for dessert.“

“NYC classic spot. Came solo on a weekday afternoon. I was able to get a seat by the bar in 15 mins. The staff is friendly & it was a full house. My burger came out pretty quickly and the food was delicious and a very generous portion. I would have skipped the drink for a soda instead. Overall I can’t wait to come back again and try the rest of their menu.“

“Absolutely the best food in NYC we finally got a bar seat this past Saturday was in the city for pride we have been trying for years everything was spot on crysathenn salad, the stuffed flatbread and lasagna and cocoa tiramisu“

“This is what we call “fine dining.” We did not reserve the main dining room, as one of our party did not care for prix fixe. We opted for the lounge as you can have from the menu or prix fixe. When you first arrive, you are greeted by a pleasant hat/coat check lady. We arrived early and said we would wait for the other couple and were invited to wait in the intimate cocktail area. The cocktails were superb and served with a house-made cocktail snack. When the guests of the party arrived, we were escorted to the lounge area. An intimate area with about six to eight tables. After being seated and greeted by the head server (maître d' or captain), who explained our options, we all opted for the menu. After looking at all the choices, we decided to split two appetizers. Even though the number of items on each choice was uneven, the server said, “Let me take care of it". And then beautifully presented plates arrived with equal portions. And it only got better from there. The entrées were each explained in detail, including their origins and how they were prepared. I could go on and on. The fish, beef, duck breast, and pork were everything we expected and more. We all commented, maybe the best we have had. The house made desserts were perfect. I had possibly the best cheese plate I have ever had. The entire staff of servers were professionals and enhanced the evening. The most disappointing part of the evening was when a guest entering the dining room (after removing his overcoat) came in dressed in Dockers and a short-sleeve polo. This is an insult to the owner, the chef, and the entire staff at this fine restaurant. But maybe he was an elite or a “special” person. We all said we would be back.“

“After a cold and windy morning, not being able to get into one of the morning shows, we ran across this little restaurant by accident for brunch. They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks! The day couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to try one of his delicious Italian recipes this holiday season. I highly recommend the Little Owl. I certainly will be going back in the future!“

“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Highly recommended!“

“This was my second time at Blue Hill, although my last visit was several years ago before they moved to the Family Meal concept. And I really like it. Each course comes with an assortment of dishes that you can mix and match at your own pace, which makes the whole meal feel relaxed and fun.

I sat at the bar, and both the atmosphere and service were excellent as always. Every course was fantastic, and this is such a great time of year to visit when there are so many amazing vegetables in season. One course highlighted several different peppers, including a specially developed habanero that had all of the sweetness and none of the heat. Really cool! The dessert was really interesting as well as it incorporated Sungold tomatoes. I don’t think I’ve ever had tomatoes in a dessert before, but it was inspired and worked beautifully. A fantastic dinner. I’ll definitely be returning.“

“Had a wonderful brunch today at Hudson Clearwater. The smoothie was outstanding. This is a quaint rustic spot and deserves all the love for their vegan friendly menu. I chose the blackened fish sandwich and it did not disappoint. The Cole slaw on the brioche bun, lightly covered with tarter sauce, made for a perfect sandwich. Their fries were delectable as well. Great service, and a great meal with my sweetheart.“

“Such a great hidden spot. Good for drinks/ date or business dinner. Overstory is amazing, but this place is a bit less fuss, while still being great. Especially if it's not great weather for a good view- I like Crown Shy better in winter.

Service can be slow during peak times, but food was good. Book reservations for a table (pretty standard at this type of place.)“

Had a wonderful time tonight. Came in and got a myself a couple plates. Each meal was full of flavor and well done and well prepared. The waitress I had the pleasure of taking care of me was amazing.

I had the Quail and the Pig Out (for two). Except no way in hell am I sharing that with anyone lol. I ate that for myself!!!

I will say the pig out was such a cool and different kind of take on food. It’s one of those plates. You’ll probably always remember. I have dine at James beer award, winning new restaurants, and all sorts of Michelin rated and starred restaurants. The pig out is a meal I will always remember. And to me that says something.

And this is what the pig out is all about and worth the hype in my opinion …

The Pig Out. Chef Chen takes whole Berkshire pork bellies and cures them in thyme, ginger and salt for five hours before confiting them in duck fat for 15 hours. He then shreds the meat and lays it out on a sheet of pig skin, pressing it down and allowing it to cool. This create a terrine of sorts, with the gelatin in the meat binding everything. Once cooled, the pork is sliced into two inch diamonds and heated in a pan, rendering the skin shatteringly crisp. The pork is served with an arugula salad dotted with persimmons (the fruit changes seasonally) and candied walnuts, peanut noodles, a ginger scallion sauce, and a squeeze bottle of sambal. Chen recommends putting a little of the last two on each each piece of pork to achieve the “perfect bite.”

And there you go!!! if you’re in the area absolutely worth a trip. Go enjoy. It’s worth your time.“

“I went here for happy hour. They had really good deals 7 dollar wine. Chocolate. Lava. Cake. Makes for an affordable place for a date or to go after work if your in Midtown area. Its harder to get a table if you have a big group so maybe reserve ahead for that. But really its cute and worth it“

“We LOVE this place. My partner and I were visiting NYC for our Babymoon and had heard Florentin was delicious, but we were blown away. Not only was the food fantastic (we had steak frites), the service was impeccable. Sammy was an incredible host that made our night even more enjoyable!! He was welcoming, fun, and generous. As my partner and I were celebrating, he made us feel so special and taken care of by providing us with mint tea & tiramisu that was to DIE FOR. “Wonderful dinner from start to finish. We had the pleasure of being served by Ramos, who was attentive, affable, and awesome. We started with the tots & caviar, which was like McDonald hash browns on steroids and the tuna cannolis (also on the smaller side but undeniably delicious). We got the duck ravioli which had a great balance of umami and acidity (the ravioli itself was cooked to perfection). We also were lucky enough to finesse the off menu truffle burger, which is easily an S tier burger (same level as lions bar and better than a PJ Clark’s - steakhouse style, not smashed) Fries were unreal. The dirty Martin’s (w/blue cheese olives) were also perfection and the Cali cab to wash it all down was equally delectable. 10/10. Great food, ambiance, and service. Will be back.“
