“Porta 23 has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Astoria. The food is consistently excellent, the cocktails are creative, and the service always makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed, whether you’re stopping in for dinner, drinks, or watching a match with friends.
The weekly specials make it even better. Taco Tuesday is one of the best deals around with three tacos and a margarita, Wednesday’s All Night Happy Hour is always worth checking out, and their weekend brunch is easily one of the best in the neighborhood.
If you’re a soccer fan, this is also an incredible place to catch the World Cup. Watching the matches on the projector and big screen with great food and drinks creates an atmosphere that’s hard to beat.
Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and full of flavor, and you can tell the staff takes pride in what they do. Porta 23 is the kind of neighborhood restaurant you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again. Highly recommended.“

“I loved this place. I went there with my family and the lady there was super nice to us. We ordered a wide variety of pizza slices and they were all super delicious. They also have amazing Mexican food which I'd love to try next time! I can recommend it to anyone.“

“It is located inside the Vista LIC Hotel where we had the opportunity to have breakfast. Friendly and efficient service, good quality freshly prepared breakfast. Right now there is a promotion $11.99 two eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, juice/coffee/tea.“

“This little gem is so New York, and I had the best time here last Saturday night. It’s a tiny space run by a lovely husband-and-wife team that makes the whole experience feel warm and personal. The set menu was outstanding, with so many great flavor combinations, many of them inspired by traditional Nepali dishes. They also offer a thoughtfully chosen wine pairing that complemented the food really well. Service was excellent throughout, and I especially enjoyed hearing the stories behind each dish and the inspiration that went into creating them. Overall, just an outstanding dinner and a place I can’t wait to return to.“
