“What a find! A friend recommended this place and I have to thank them for doing so. Would suggest the wood-fired octopus, very well done and among the dishes that will bring me back. We tried the Robiola pizza off the recommendation and if you want to mix it up from the usual pizza I would recommend. We ventured from the Italian offerings and had the Truffle Burretta Burger with prosciutto. Try it!! You will be amazed. We saw the food coming out to other dinners and it all looked delicious. Great service as well.”

Hamido Seafood 3308 Ditmars Blvd, Queens Seafood • $$
3308 Ditmars Blvd, Queens

“Just checked out Hamido Restaurant in Astoria, Queens, and man, was I blown away! The vibe? Cozy and welcoming. The service? Quick and friendly, making you feel right at home. But what really matters - the food. Went there with my french friend, they are known to be picky about the food - even he loved it a lot. Every bite was a perfect blend of spices and freshness, making it hard to pick a favorite dish. I liked branzino, babaganush was great. Calamari wouldn't be my first choice, but they were ok, even french fries were good. Also, check out the mint lemonade, it's amazing. Good place, recommend.”

Brunch or dinner, wine or cocktails, never disappoints. It's a great spot for a date, to take family and friends, or even for a solo outing. Milkflower 34-12 31st Ave, Astoria Pizza • $$
34-12 31st Ave, Astoria

“What a happy surprise! I came to this pizzeria being a little bit skeptical, because my past experiences with places using a brick oven have been a little bit underwhelming. But I really did like their pizzas! We had the olives and grilled vegetables to start with, and the amounts of those plates were fantastic. We were a table of 5 so we decided to each choose a pizza and then put them in the middle so that we all could try them. I chose the s.t. ghost pizza, which is basically a four cheese but with a twist - no blue cheese, more sweet cheeses, and burnt honey! It was my favorite. The crusts of the pizzas were soft but at the same time crunchy, and I loved that they didn't feel tasteless or chewy at all. Between those we chose, we also wanted to risk it and order the meatballs pizza. I don't know what I expected, I was ready for the worse, but it wasn't bad! They have a good selection of beverages, wine and a few beers. only downside- they didn't have any tiramisu :( but I'm not going to penalize them for it!”

Lunera Latin Fusion 32-25 Steinway St, Astoria Latin American • $$
32-25 Steinway St, Astoria

“I'm obsessed with Lunera! This Colombian-Mexican gem in Astoria has stolen my heart and taste buds. Their sangria is hands-down my favorite - a perfect blend of fruity and tangy. But honestly, everything on the menu is a must-try! From the mouthwatering churrasco (their specialty, and for good reason!) to the flavorful empanadas and paella , every dish is a masterpiece. The owners are often present, warmly greeting customers and making everyone feel like family. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is top-notch. If I had to choose just one favorite, it'd be the churrasco - but honestly, I dream about everything on their menu! Five stars and a permanent spot on my favorite restaurants list. ?? Lunera, you have my heart (and taste buds) forever!”

“I performed at Avenue this last Friday coming from Greece, this place is a true gem in Astoria and NY. Exemplary service, excellent food, great place to play music for people to enjoy. I was impressed by the fact that apart from the Reggaeton & English songs, there were people not speaking Greek as their 1st language who enjoyed the Greek music I also played. Would love to be back at Avenue sometime, huge credit to the management and everyone running such a successful business!!! ❤️?”

Salvatoria Kitchen & Bar 31-18 Broadway, Astoria Salvadoran • $$

“The place is very clean, the attention of the waiters is excellent, we have gone to eat there several times, one of those times my daughter ordered chicken with slices and she didn't like it, I thought she was the one with the problem, we came back and I ordered chicken with slices And if I saw that she was right, the chicken with slice was nothing to see, the chicken doesn't feel fresh and on top of that paying $30 didn't seem fair to me, I will return to the place just for the pupusas because they are a delight,”

Pink Nori 36-06 30th Ave., Astoria Japanese • $$

“I was looking for a nice place to eat sushi and ramen. I found this place on goggle. I decided to read the reviews. They were pretty decent so I decided to take my family here. Hana is the best she is so attentive and very nice and sweet. The food was great the price was ok. So I decided to go back and treat my kid to eat after her practice this past Sunday. The food great Hana a sweet heart. However I was so disappointed. I did not get my duck . Then I decided to order it to go. I got home I had the wrong order. I was so disappointed so was my child. I called the restaurant back and spoke to sue I placed another order. I told her if they could please deliver it and how was it possible for them to get my order wrong. I asked her several times to ask Hana what duck I had ordered before. She agreed. When I hit the delivery again wrong food. OMG. I swear if it wasn’t because Hana is so great I would never go back there. The phone order lady sue is the worst. I was disappointed my kid was upset. After everything she expected me to pay them something for her F ups . I don’t think so. I reverse the charges. They need to put someone else on the phone to take delivery orders on the phone.”

Lunch Stop Deli 37-20 23rd Ave, Astoria Deli • $$
37-20 23rd Ave, Astoria

“We arrived a little too early before the restaurant opened, but the waitress let us in 30 mins early. We were hungry and wanted to order lamb chops. Alas, we had to order veal instead. And I asked for a tarama -my starting point for any Greek meal and lemon potatoes, another favorite of mine. The veal was tender and delicious and tarama along with warm bread was very tasty. Gregory's Corner is perhaps one the best small taverna in Astoria. What they lack in choices on the menu, they make up in service. The waitress who took our order was really on point and gave us solid recommendations. Gregory's is a nice cozy spot with a truly Mediterranean feel. The tables are well-spaced, and the decor is bright and breezy. Outside the restaurant is a little hard to make out up the street and is covered with too much foliage. The entrance is not clearly marked. Inside you can hear the waitress and owner arguing and speaking in Greek. It got a little intence at times, but was fun”

“I've had so many great meals here for lunch and dinner! If you like sushi, try their creative house items like their avocado eel rice or their sushi pizza, etc. My regular is just the sashimi deluxe so if you're a purist, you can rely on fresh slices here. They also have good cooked Japanese and Chinese food so if you're into something hot, try the hibachi, teriyaki or udon noodles. Definitely ask for recommendations, all their servers are knowledgeable and well-trained. If you want to karoke with dinner, Saturday night is so much fun and it's a great crowd.”
