Every single item on the menu has a unique authentic flavor and you can even taste the passion and care that was put into preparing it. “What a find! A friend recommended this place and I have to thank them for doing so. Would suggest the wood-fired octopus, very well done and among the dishes that will bring me back. We tried the Robiola pizza off the recommendation and if you want to mix it up from the usual pizza I would recommend. We ventured from the Italian offerings and had the Truffle Burretta Burger with prosciutto. Try it!! You will be amazed. We saw the food coming out to other dinners and it all looked delicious. “I love this place. I went for brunch with a couple friends and got the bottomless Mimosa option. Drinks were flowing, food was delicious, and the service was phenomenal. I still recommend the tres leches french toast. Don't forget to mix your mimosa flavors like cranberry and pineapple. I recommend for a weekend brunch.”

“Just checked out Hamido Restaurant in Astoria, Queens, and man, was I blown away! The vibe? Cozy and welcoming. The service? Quick and friendly, making you feel right at home. But what really matters - the food. Went there with my french friend, they are known to be picky about the food - even he loved it a lot. Every bite was a perfect blend of spices and freshness, making it hard to pick a favorite dish. I liked branzino, babaganush was great. Calamari wouldn't be my first choice, but they were ok, even french fries were good. Also, check out the mint lemonade, it's amazing. Good place, recommend.”

Now that I have discovered they have an Elf mural and a resident (of sorts) French bulldog with his own barstool, this is a must stop while visiting this neighborhood. “What a happy surprise! I came to this pizzeria being a little bit skeptical, because my past experiences with places using a brick oven have been a little bit underwhelming. But I really did like their pizzas! We had the olives and grilled vegetables to start with, and the amounts of those plates were fantastic. We were a table of 5 so we decided to each choose a pizza and then put them in the middle so that we all could try them. I chose the s.t. ghost pizza, which is basically a four cheese but with a twist - no blue cheese, more sweet cheeses, and burnt honey! It was my favorite. The crusts of the pizzas were soft but at the same time crunchy, and I loved that they didn't feel tasteless or chewy at all. Between those we chose, we also wanted to risk it and order the meatballs pizza. I don't know what I expected, I was ready for the worse, but it wasn't bad! They have a good selection of beverages, wine and a few beers. only downside- they didn't have any tiramisu :( but I'm not going to penalize them for it!”

David the bar tender was outstanding in conversation and service. Lobster ravioli did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, great music, would gladly come back next time. “I'm obsessed with Lunera! This Colombian-Mexican gem in Astoria has stolen my heart and taste buds. Their sangria is hands-down my favorite - a perfect blend of fruity and tangy. But honestly, everything on the menu is a must-try! From the mouthwatering churrasco (their specialty, and for good reason!) to the flavorful empanadas and paella , every dish is a masterpiece. “I performed at Avenue this last Friday coming from Greece, this place is a true gem in Astoria and NY. Exemplary service, excellent food, great place to play music for people to enjoy. “Went on a Sunday around 5:30pm and omg what a vibe. Nick, the Dj, was absolutely killing it with the beats. The restaurant was busy but not overly packed. The server was attentive and did not rush us at all. Felt like a supper club which is exactly what we wanted. Will definitely be back.”

If you like sushi, try their creative house items like their avocado eel rice or their sushi pizza, etc. My regular is just the sashimi deluxe so if you're a purist, you can rely on fresh slices here. They also have good cooked Japanese and Chinese food so if you're into something hot, try the hibachi, teriyaki or udon noodles. Definitely ask for recommendations, all their servers are knowledgeable and well-trained. If you want to karoke with dinner, Saturday night is so much fun and it's a great crowd.”

“A decent typical Chinese food takeout joint in Astoria with the typical Americanized Chinese fast food menu at reasonable prices . Had the boys over to watch some march madness , NBA games , hockey and decided to give this joint a delivery order of egg rolls, wonton soups , spare ribs , chicken with broccoli, chicken chow mein, and shrimp low mein.The food was delivered in about 30 minutes, order was correct , no spillage and overall food was good , nothing great but no complaints at all. They give alot for what they charge and the containers are sturdy . I would give golden dragon another try and with the extensive menu , I will explore other options when ordering next time . 4 stars on my yelp meter .”

“My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time and it was great! The service was friendly, they were attentative to our needs such as re-filling water without us asking. There are restaurants where you have to ask the waiter to refill the water (I understand if the place is busy but if the business is slow and the waiter is not attentive that is a pet peeve).The recommendation that the waiter suggested was great! We ordered two burgers ( Baconology and Genus burger both with sweet potatoes fries) plus an appetizer (Nacho Board). This burger place is way better than this other burger place in Queens claiming to be the best in Queens. That burger place, (NOT BURGEROLOGY) was whatever and the owner clearly doesn't know how to handle reviews. Burgerology Astoria I recommend??????”

“Came in around 12:30 on a Sunday. Got seated right away and wasn't really packed. They have a variety of buffet dishes both veg and non veg. Everything was cooked and was hot .When they brought out the naan, it was cooked fresh to order. Service was excellent. A lot of the dishes were less seasoned and spicy as is in a normal Indian cuisine, but they do that to cater to the population in that area that can't handle spices. No disrespect but y'all can't handle spices. Samosas were fire and they had the chutneys to go with them too. Overall with tax and tip it was around $20 per person. Metered parking outside is decent and there's plenty around the area as well. After covid, this spot is good for what they have. Definitely don't miss out on the kheer desert at the end.Parking: Accross the street metered parking.”

“My date is Greek and so I wanted to take her to a Greek restaurant where we could dance. This is the place where we had stuffed grape leaves, combination platter with assorted potatoes, cheeses, yogurt and cucumbers. It was all delicious. We found it odd that ouzo was not on the drink menu but once we inquired, they brought us had ouzo and we drank it all night long. The live entertainment consisted of a band and four singers that sang all night long. The only regret we had was that there were very few folks around in the lounge to enjoy both the cuisine and the live entertainment whose musicians and singers were of the highest quality. My date was on the dance floor and demonstrated to me that she can dance the Greek dances that she had learned as a young lady. I promised her that I would dance with her like Telly Savalas someday. I recommend Jimbos to all who would not only enjoy the food but also enjoy the Greek entertainment of the highest quality. Please note that the lounge opens at 10:00 pm and reservations are recommended.”

“Ahhhh this place is sooo good!!!! Today must’ve been my 6-7th time being here. We live in LI now but still come back, and today it was in route back from the poconos heading to our home. We were craving a good Spanish meal; Acento is Colombian. It’s mine and my partner’s favorite Latin place in Astoria, and being Latin ourselves and considering there’s not many places in Astoria area that are of our cuisine (he’s Ecuadorian and I’m PR), this speaks volumes! Haha. I tried to remind myself to capture photos, but we were so hungry and eager to eat, that I ended up taking photos midway through eating! lol.Our favorite treat is the Arepa Cachapa, which is sort of like a sweet corn patty with cheese inside, omg amazing! We had it as our appetizer.Their white rice is so perfect - it’s grainy while still being soft and fluffy, just like I like it.The red beans one of the best fusion of flavors I’ve had and let me tell you that we have rice and beans about 2-3 times per week (like I said we’re Latin and it’s a staple in our household and culture overall).I had the Entraña steak today with yuca fries - steak was so juicy like I like it and yuca fries were perfectly crispy. The chimichurri sauce that comes with it, yummm!Partner had the traditional Bandeja Paisa, which he tends to get at every Colombian spot we go to and he enjoyed every part of the meal (it’s a combo meal, a must try). We all tried each other’s food. My kids shared with us and they even loved it (that says a lot for 4-yr olds who can sometimes can be picky with food! lol), and we also had food left over to bring back home.Great portion sizes, very generous.Atmosphere is so chill, lovely with a mix of different music playing in the background. My kids and I were all grooving to the music haha.We didn’t order any drinks today, but from what we remember, they’re also good and tasty!A must visit if you’re in the area and looking for a guaranteed delicious meal, no underwhelm, and want a bite of our cultural foods that always hit the tummy right!Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to kids. “I was looking for a nice place to eat sushi and ramen. I found this place on goggle. I decided to read the reviews. They were pretty decent so I decided to take my family here. Hana is the best she is so attentive and very nice and sweet. The food was great the price was ok. So I decided to go back and treat my kid to eat after her practice this past Sunday. The food great Hana a sweet heart. However I was so disappointed. I did not get my duck . Then I decided to order it to go. I got home I had the wrong order. I was so disappointed so was my child. I called the restaurant back and spoke to sue I placed another order. I told her if they could please deliver it and how was it possible for them to get my order wrong. I asked her several times to ask Hana what duck I had ordered before. She agreed. When I hit the delivery again wrong food. OMG. I swear if it wasn’t because Hana is so great I would never go back there. The phone order lady sue is the worst. I was disappointed my kid was upset. After everything she expected me to pay them something for her F ups . I don’t think so. I reverse the charges. They need to put someone else on the phone to take delivery orders on the phone.”

The meat was perfectly cooked with a bit of char, pita still soft but heated just right, veggies fresh, the sauce so good! “REVIEW OF GASPAR's DELI 4402 25th Ave. We came here on a recommendation from another member in this group. Like the other delis we visited Gaspar's is unremarkable from the street. Inside the deli has subdued lighting.. Nor are they known for any specific type of specialty sandwich, so we ordered prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich with red peppers. #deliFridays. The sandwiches were either available on a roll or a hero. We both wanted to see how their sandwiches compared to other delis previously reviewed. My friend originally suggested that we go back to SKC, but I encouraged him to stay and place a takeout order. Later, he called me that he liked their hero better than the last three we visited I still prefer the bomb. While waiting for the sandwiches we took a look around the deli. They still have photos and clock from decades ago with old photos. No chairs, but nice old 'deli' atmosphere. A lot of locals seem to have showed up while I was there. It is not the cleanest deli we visited, but adequate for takeout. 1 star I got to chat with a lady there possibly one of the owners. She gave me some recommendations on some of their meat products and cheeses they have on offer. In addition, the employee who prepared our sandwiches was really helpful too, and suggested the red peppers, which were extra! Overall, an enjoyable lunch, takeout of course!!”

“Eating fish in NY is a bit difficult, because the ocean is not the Mediterranean; even more complicated is buying it to prepare it at home; fishmongers or fish houses are somewhat disappointing. Ocean Fish Market is a real exception. A considerable variety is always present, both thorn fish and molluscs and crustaceans. I have tried purchasing fish at this location several times during my visits to this exceptional city, and have never been disappointed. Even the people for whom I prepared the fish were fully satisfied”

The meat was perfectly cooked with a bit of char, pita still soft but heated just right, veggies fresh, the sauce so good! “Half an hour before closing we entered this Wingstop to ask if we were able to order, not only did we the server say yes but she also said we were able to sit in the corner if we wanted to dine in. Our server was very patient with us even though they were close to closing, she helped us figure out how much food we should order for two people and what kinds of sauce we should choose to suit our tastebuds. The food obviously took a little longer due to the timing, however this was no problem as it gave me more time to choose which drink combo I wanted. The food in itself was still amazing, the wings were perfectly sized and coated generously- the only downside were the fries not tasting that great, however, I will give the kitchen the benefit of the doubt that they were probably closing stations off as we ordered. I will definitely visit again during the day to get an even better experience!”

“Good, affordable food. I come here for soup dumplings and other snacky foods whenever I want to stay in the neighborhood instead of venturing out to Flushing. Its a smaller place, so not great for a larger party, but perfect for solo dining. The staff pays attention to you the whole time and the food is fast. Dont expect huge portions, its mean to be smaller portions and you build your meal from those options. This is what I expect from a comfort food destination.”
