“We went there for lunch on a whim on a weekday. The place is tiny and clean and doesn't look fancy. The food was Balkan style - either Serbian or Croatian - and it was very good. There was only one person working there and she took care of us well.“

“My friend and I came for a wonderful dinner last night. My friend had Svickova and I had the roast pork with sauerkraut, and dumplings. Everything was delicious and authentic just like when visiting the Czech Republic. We also had some great Czech beer! Service was also very friendly and the restaurant itself looks very nice and cozy inside. Koliba is truly a gem in New York City and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Czech cuisine!“

“We got the mixed platter and it tasted extremely authentic and delicious. Mashed potatoes were so creamy and buttery and the meats were seasoned to perfection. On top of that, the food was affordable and excellently portioned for the community it serves. For dessert, I’d recommend their traditional fried dough in syrup. The texture and sweetness is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Thank you for an amazing night.“

“Me and my friends came here after seeing an IG post of the Owner being Black Woman who’s a Michelin Award Winning Chef. Needless to say, we were very impressed. The atmosphere has a great ambiance, the space is very clean, the staff were VERY kind too. However… our food tasted AMAZING! I will most definitely be coming back here again. I should’ve ordered more food to take home with me honestly.“

BaBa’s is a must do for us every time we’re in NYC and recently we enjoyed the hand crafted delights at home when we received a bunch as a gift after having a baby for my postpartum nurturing. Just like the name every pierogis feels like a bit of love from grandmas kitchen straight to the heart ( by way of the tummy) We love you guys and we love babas!“

The place is simple, home-style, and very easygoing. It felt like a small family spot — I think the people running it might be Albanian. Super friendly atmosphere.

The lovely lady behind the counter served me what can only be described as a slice of heaven: a meat burek that was flaky, warm, and absolutely delicious. And the cappuccino was fantastic too.

My day started as a cold, windy disaster… and somehow turned into “okay, let’s grab a whole pie to go.”

“Recently went and although the food and waiter staff were great, we were expecting what we seen on here. There was no performances. An empty space. Apparently there's a 2 hr gap between brunch and dinner. The booking site allowed for a 4pm reservation. When we arrived we were accommodated but looked at funny. We found out that brunch had ended at 3pm. I was really hoping for the full experience I seen here and paid alot and didn't get it.“

We went full French classics: Frog’s Legs, Escargot, Steak Tartare, Petit Moules Marinère, Goat cheese Puffs and Salmon Pave. Everything was seasoned well and tasted delicious. It reminded us of our trip to Paris a couple years ago. Highly Recommend if you are into French food and in the area.“

The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, friendly smile and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for the evening. I started with the Georgian salad and eggplant rolls, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I chose Ojakhuri which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. My friends selected: Adjaruli khachapuri (cheese and egg in the middle of deliciously baked bread) and Shrimp dish. This goes well with chacha and compote drink, make sure to have few shots. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to make recommendations based on our preferences. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, enhancing the overall dining experience. To top it all off, we indulged in the dessert, had 4 various ones that we split and all were AMAZING! This was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. “Really loved the bread and butter, clams, tuna carpaccio, picanha, short rib, duck, and potatoes. Wines that I tasted were good and they have excellent dirty vodka martinis too. Short rib and picanha are a bit similar so if you’re on the fence between a few dishes, I’d just get one and maybe try a couple of the other mains unless you’re really craving steak. This place has a sexy Parisian-esque wine bar vibe and I loved it. Seating by the open windows and people watching will be super nice once the good weather starts to stick around.

Ps The Infatuation review for this place was so off the mark, I wish I came in sooner (everyone at the table’s opinion, not just mine). Will definitely be back and it’s a great addition to the neighborhood.“

“This was my second time coming here as I live out of town. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the atmosphere is fun.

The only complaint I have is the photography guy. I really did not like being bothered during my meal by him for photos only to be interrupted again and asked to buy them. (Which where $25 a piece btw). It really lowered the experience and felt like I was at a cheap theme park or baseball game. He wasn't there the first time I came here.“

Here in this restaurant my husband gave me an angement ring, in this restaurant we celebrate birthdays and our anniversaries and wedding days. We recommend it to everyone!!!“
