“This has been one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My wife and I came here on a whim. We went full French classics: Frog’s Legs, Escargot, Steak Tartare, Petit Moules Marinère, Goat cheese Puffs and Salmon Pave. Everything was seasoned well and tasted delicious. It reminded us of our trip to Paris a couple years ago. Highly Recommend if you are into French food and in the area.“

“Came into this restaurant unfamiliar with Moldova and their food. Staff was happy to share their culture with me, and extremely helpful with wines and deciphering the menu. Extremely high quality and affordable white wine selection, and the food is good even if you usually do not like Eastern European food. The staff is fluent in Russian, English, and Romanian and made it a point to speak to me in English even though I brought a Russian-speaking friend. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Brooklyn who likes to try new foods.“

“These are the perogies I dream of. hand made generations old recipe both classic ingredients and newer flavors, vegan offerings too. BaBa’s is a must do for us every time we’re in NYC and recently we enjoyed the hand crafted delights at home when we received a bunch as a gift after having a baby for my postpartum nurturing. Just like the name every pierogis feels like a bit of love from grandmas kitchen straight to the heart ( by way of the tummy) We love you guys and we love babas!“

“Wow, what a great find in a Brighton chaos. This is a great place if you are looking for a very nice peace and quiet in Brighton beach area. I haven't been to the area in a while and what an amazin addition to the (finally) emerging culinary scene of an area. My wife an I had a change to meet the owner and enjoy some of the best food in a city we had in a while. This is a multi-pupose place that does have it's own identity. You can pop by for a fresh (and really good) coffe and pasties for lunch and have a grea dinner in the evening with a full bar and excellent service. If you are tired of typical dated beach establishments and are hangry at the beach, please take this 5 minute hike and enjoy well air conditioned, clean and nice spot, you won't regret it. “Our guests are arriving around 3:30 on Sunday. We wanted to sit down, have a meal, and chat. I called to make a reservation at this cafe. Artem answered, saying he was the manager. He asked, ‘Will you leave by 5?’ I thought maybe there was a banquet after 5, but I was told, ‘No, we just have two time slots: until 5 and from 6. It’s inconvenient for us otherwise. Even Igor (the owner) won’t be able to help you.’ It felt very rude and unprofessional. I’ve lived in the US for 30 years and have been to this cafe many times (though usually after 6), but I’ve never encountered service like this anywhere before. My desire to visit again has probably disappeared for good.“

“I have to give 5 stars because everything was excellent. We started with a fried dough stuffed with a lightly curried ground lamb that was delicious! So light. Out tomato and onion salad accompanied all our dishes. The chicken Tyva (fried!) was expertly prepared. Such moist chicken. Perfectly seasoned.

The highlight of the evening was the hand made Mante or Manty (how it was spelled here). Served with sour cream. No butternut squash, but the onion and meat mixture was perfect.

We ended our meal with a Lyula Kebab which was phenomenal. Charred bbq flavors w lamb and beef ground with the perfect spice blend.“

“I live in North Carolina, and every time I come to New York, I make sure to visit Cafe Gallery. I’ve been going there for years, and I absolutely love the welcoming atmosphere, delicious homemade food, and amazing drinks.

Last week I visited NYC again and went to Cafe Gallery — and WOW! The moment I walked in and saw the renovation, I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like I walked into a completely new restaurant. Everything looks absolutely beautiful and modern while still keeping the same warm feeling I always loved.

The food is still incredible, the sushi and drinks are out of this world, and of course, the karaoke makes the experience even more fun and unforgettable.

I will definitely continue recommending Cafe Gallery to everyone visiting New York. Such a special place!“
