BaBa’s is a must do for us every time we’re in NYC and recently we enjoyed the hand crafted delights at home when we received a bunch as a gift after having a baby for my postpartum nurturing. “Amazing place, great hookah and the hostess (Sitlri) is very kind. Me and my boyfriend love to come here to hang out and have some hookah. The food is always fresh and quick, they have a great option for deserts as well. Good music, and comfy seating. I also love that they show the fights and games on a big screen when there are events.“

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the servers did a great job. 👍 I always like to be honest in my reviews, so I will mention that you can tell the restaurant hasn’t been renovated in quite some time. “Our guests are arriving around 3:30 on Sunday. We wanted to sit down, have a meal, and chat. I called to make a reservation at this cafe. Artem answered, saying he was the manager. He asked, ‘Will you leave by 5?’ I thought maybe there was a banquet after 5, but I was told, ‘No, we just have two time slots: until 5 and from 6. It’s inconvenient for us otherwise. Even Igor (the owner) won’t be able to help you.’ It felt very rude and unprofessional. I’ve lived in the US for 30 years and have been to this cafe many times (though usually after 6), but I’ve never encountered service like this anywhere before. My desire to visit again has probably disappeared for good.“

“Really enjoyed our dinner at Omar Khayyam! We ordered potatoes & mushrooms, lamb chops, and cherry vareniki - all of which were delicious! All the dishes were easy to share and portions were generous. The service was excellent and the staff was so kind and welcoming. “I live in North Carolina, and every time I come to New York, I make sure to visit Cafe Gallery. I’ve been going there for years, and I absolutely love the welcoming atmosphere, delicious homemade food, and amazing drinks.

Last week I visited NYC again and went to Cafe Gallery — and WOW! The moment I walked in and saw the renovation, I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like I walked into a completely new restaurant. Everything looks absolutely beautiful and modern while still keeping the same warm feeling I always loved.

The food is still incredible, the sushi and drinks are out of this world, and of course, the karaoke makes the experience even more fun and unforgettable.
