Based on the reviews, Chateau Capitaine serves excellent Russian and Eastern European food. The food is delicious, with a favorite being the roasted duck with dried apricots. Service is attentive, professional, and friendly. Staff demonstrate speed and good manners. On evenings with live music, there is great entertainment and dancing. However, staff have repeatedly carried items over customers' heads, which felt unsafe. Also, coat check costs $3, and coats may smell like cigarette smoke. Despite this, it is considered the best restaurant in Brooklyn for birthdays and celebrations, with top notch service.
