“Came here for my girlfriend's birthday and it was an amazing experience. The food was phenomenal and since it was our first time there, the staff were very helpful helping us pick items. We ended up getting the whipped ricotta dip, babaganoush, salmon belly skewer, hanger steak, and shaksuhka. Everything turned out amazing and we actually ended up getting a total of 3 extra pita orders as we were eating.Would highly recommend their whipped ricotta dip, that was the highlight of the night“
“I grabbed dinner here and it did not disappoint. This was a cute and cozy spot just a few steps from the L train. For cocktails, I started with the Spicy Mezcal Marg. It wasn't my favorite, as I expected it to be spicier, since Szechuan peppercorn and Calabrian chili were some of the ingredients used. My next drink was the Hugo Spritz, which was amazing!! It made up for the first drink: it was refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). For apps, we had the Rye Pita and hummus. Now let me just say, I am not a hummus girlie, but the hummus here was so flavorful and smooth. It wasn't gritty as I have experienced in the past. It definitely paired well with the pita. The star of the show was the Lahmajun, which is sort of like a pizza (without cheese) with lamb. I was pleasantly surprised. The lamb, the herbs & spices were just so delicious. Our server told us to dip it in the hummus and I had no regrets. We also had the braised chicken thigh, which felt very much like comfort food. The chicken was seasoned generously and cooked to perfection. We also had the lamb meatballs, which were so tender. The pairing with pomegranate really brought the flavors out. Overall, I definitely unlocked some new tastebuds here lol. I would return again for the Lahmajun alone! Service was exceptional as well :)“
“Awesome food, very authentic. Our server was very friendly and professional. We had a great time. Favorite dishes were baba ghanouj, hummus with meat and the cauliflower steak. Red wine was so good. We sat near a sunny window and there was fairuz music so the atmosphere was perfect for a lebanese.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs. My toddler liked the food.“
“This place provides an amazing and intimate dining experience. The staff, especially our server Luis, we're fantastic. We drove all the way from the Connecticut/Massachusetts border to try the food after reading the reviews. Everything was better than expected. My husband's birthday was made all the more special by this visit. We tried the Mezze Plate, Salmon Kebab, and Chicken Ouzi. The flavor combinations were excellent, portions were extremely generous in size...I just wish I lived closer so I can try different things on the menu more often.I apologize for my photo quality, I didn't want to use a flash and ruin the ambiance for the other patrons. The photo is the Chicken Ouzi.We definitely plan on visiting again.“
“what a sweet little spot! the staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is gorg inside. we came for brunch and had the çilbir to share between 2 people, which comes with several sides. the meal was refreshing, light, and so, so tasty.“
“We sailed from RYC for an overnight into sheepshead bay and were searching a good Mediterranean or Turkish restaurant. Had a few ideas as we walked down Emmons avenue. Saw Lokum and decided to check it out. Decor was modern and elegant, our waiter Fort, was knowledgeable & helpful and they had a fantastic3 piece jazz trio playing! We ordered the goddess salad to share with lentil falafel and plates to share, grilled octopus, zucchini pancakes, halloumi & avocado ganouj. Everything was so tasty & superb! We had luscious baklava for desert. We would haves lived to longer longer but had to catch the 9:15 launch back to our boat. We will definitely be back for another sublime meal next season!“
“I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. I look forward to returning to Leland Eating and Drinking House to explore more of their enticing menu offerings! 10 star review!!!“
“What a great time! Hart's was a great intimate evening. The restaurant is small, cozy but warm and inviting. The dim lights create such a romantic and private atmosphere even while sitting next to other tables. It was a nice evening of good service, great conversation and a lovely atmosphere. The food was also very good. The donut appetizer was savory and delicious. The clam toast was pretty good. The trout was incredible. It was light but filling and tasty. I would return just for that dish. The lamb burger was also a hit. The pork dish was good as well. We didn't really enjoy the lemon curd dessert but the drinks and wine selections were all wonderful.“
“Lovely spot, came for brunch on my birthday. Same great food and great service as always, but I was surprised to find the Yemenite Pancake renamed (which is the best thing on the menu).I always thought they were cool for putting aside differences and shouting out their southern neighbors… I mean, Yemenis food is delicious.“
“Whether my husband and I sit at the bar, outside at a table or order food for takeaway, the service and food are incredible. Jay and the rest of the staff are lovely and everything is really fresh and tasty. We feel so lucky we live just a few blocks away! Definitely a neighborhood gem.“
“Stop by with a couple of friends on a Friday night, place is warm and welcoming. Started with a Negroni which was spot on, had hummus platter which was the best in NYC so far, falafel which was bigger in size than the known falafel but yet very tasty. My friend raved about the cauliflower, but the star was the smoked lamb shawarma. All in all, good experience with attentive and responsive service with excellent food. We would have stayed longer had the chairs been more comfortable. I’ll be back (German accent)“
“So, as you can see, the food is very delicious ? ?Plates are empty and I forgot to take a picture. But besides food, the service is excellent ?? I can’t say more.Simply excellent ??Bartenders are really attentive to a customers, they really satisfied me, and I am picky and strict, and they cute. ? So very well done ??I will definitely and highly recommend this place. Yes. Thank you ?“
“Had lunch here on a rainy day with my mother. Not my first time at the restaurant and my mothers first time having Mediterranean cuisine. I enjoyed it just as much as previously , the food and service does not disappoint. The chicken soup , haloumi salad, mezze plate and the grill plate made me feel happy. Meat was perfectly cooked , soft and just the perfect amount of sides. The portions are big and definitely worth the price. Highly recommend this restaurant. Oooh, and the pistachio pizza with the spicy honey - it deserves a separate review. Loved every minute of my lunch.“
“Cocktails are incredible. Service is unmatched. Space is gorgeous. And yes, their employees are paid fairly. I own a cocktail bar in the neighborhood and know that someone has targeted them (along with their friends) with a series of unfair reviews. Ironically, they seem to not realize how this affects a business and in turn how much money is made by those who work at said business. I do not believe that recent bad reviews have been made in good faith. Anyone who’s been here knows it’s fantastic :)“
“Exceptional dining experience! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely divine. Every dish was prepared to perfection, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly set this restaurant apart. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!“
“So happy to have stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Loved the atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly. But the real star was the food!! Everything we tried was so fresh, tasty and different. You can taste the “love” that goes into every dish. From the Pistachio pesto Pappardelle, Farmer's Market Orecchiette to the hands down, BEST potato latkes I’ve ever had! Looking forward to our return. Many blessings to you! ♥️“
“This is not a restaurant, it’s a sanctuary … people gather here to nourish themselves with cuisine that stays consistent in its fresh approach to brilliance yet reinvents itself, the ambiance creates for genuine connection among patrons & the sister & brother team who maintain the vision of their concept are some of the kindest most welcoming people i’ve ever met. I’m grateful for the day I found the Lighthouse, or did the Lighthouse find me? ? Either way thank you for providing for me a place in New York that always feels like home.“
“Ordered on ubereats food came hot well packaged , ordered lamb gyro, chicken gyro and wedges, lamb gyro was not tasty, it was abundant with lamb chucks adequate amount of white sauce ( which also was not tasty), pita ( was soft and fresh), onions and cucumbers helped a bit, chicken gyro was way more flavorful would by that again and the wedges were good“
“The value of this place is terrific. I got a big bowl of goodies for $11. Fresh ingredients, really tasty, and they really pounded in there so you feel like you're getting a lot of food. I got five dollar baklava. Which was tasty, and a nice treat to myself but that brought it up to $18 total. I tried a lot of new things in my mix bowl. I love the sweet potatoes. The sauces were very interesting. Really fast and no one was in line. Nice staff.“
“I went to this restaurant for lunch and the food was A-MAZINGGGG!!! I would definitely recommend, I ordered the chicken francese, chicken was so flavorful and tender, pasta was Al dentè. I took my order to go, because I was pressed for time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice next time I visit I will definitely dine in. The host was very nice service was exceptional. Food came quick and delicious“
“Happy hour did not disappoint! My friend and I ordered a few happy hour items to share, and the dip trio is a definite must-try. The hummus was incredibly smooth and perfectly seasoned. The romanesco was a recommendation from our server, and it was my personal favorite. Kinda reminiscent of buffalo sauce because of the tang and spice, goes very well with the pita. The feta-lebneh was interesting, very pungent and strong in flavor but I still enjoyed it. The chicken sliders were seasoned super well, but a little messy to eat since the pita slice buns were thin. The kale salad was a good way to balance out our spread, and the pinenuts and cheese added good texture and flavor. Great place to catch up with a friend or have a date night!“
“Della has a new owner and they recently renovated. It looks really nice inside. They have a new kitchen and chef. The menu is a bit heavy on the red meat side, but I had the salmon and it was quite good. Also, the bartender is very friendly.“
“we ate here before show at bew second coty venue which is right down tje street, our dinner was early so restaurant not too crowded, atmosphere is warm and cozy and service is very nice and personal. food was very good, we ate tomato , onion and cucumber salad, i had grilled salmon with spinach, my husband had a pasta with mushrooms which he liked very much. we would def recommend esp if you want to be near venue on williamsburg“
“My partner and I LOVE shawarma mia. We’re here at least weekly to grab a quick, healthy, and well-priced lunch! We usually grab a chicken pita on most days, but if we’re feeling especially hungry, the wrap is always more than enough. The folks who work here are so friendly and efficient. Food is so fresh and flavors are fantastic. Definitely recommend!“
“Outstanding! Super comfort-chic vibe and great ambiance all around. Management, servers, et all were A plus. Passover pre fixe and A la carte were just perfect. Matzah hall soup and gefilte fish app platter were superb! A definite go to again!“
“I went to tutt heights and the food was very good there was very good. the server was very nice, and the environment was excellent!Vegetarian options: There are a lot of options such as the falafel sandwich that I ordered, the hummus and a lot of the other appetizers are also vegan/vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: There are a lot of healthy food options such as the side I ordered which was some hummus and it was very tasty.Kid-friendliness: There are a lot of kid options on the menu and they have baby/kid chairs too“
“Happy hour is a great deal $5 drinks for I think wine, beer, mojitos, margaritas, and espresso martinis. Mojito was meh, but the margarita was pretty good! We got the Medusa mixed platter which feeds 3-4 people and it was delicious. There’s also a bunch of apps on the happy hour menu as well. The beef stick and the lamb chop was delectable. Metered Street parking was readily available“
“Took my friend here for a belated birthday dinner. First time at Athena for both of us. Everything was superb! Attentive, friendly staff, , affable and gracious host/owner(Teddy), great wine, food, and dessert menus. Food was delicious. We would definitely return to this delightful corner gem in Park Slope!“
“Meze is a great go-to neighborhood eatery! I've been coming here for 2 years now, and it never disappoints. Every dish is delicious and hearty, so there's no wrong choice. The service and ambiance are also top-tier. Highly recommended!!“
“Absolutely delicious and LARGE portions! We have gone back a few times now and have gotten the chicken tenders (very large - similar to Popeyes) the wings - got the lemon pepper, and the chicken over rice bowls which were absolutely delicious, one of tbe best in the city! Everyone’s always been extremely nice, and delivery has always been quick. Highly recommend“
“Such a lovely dinner! Food made my mouth water and had so much flavor. I had the hummus and chicken, both fantastic. Highlight was when the team brought me out a sample of the fesenjoon at the end of the meal because they wanted me to try it and I’d been torn at the start of the meal. Absolutely worth it. Very cozy, will certainly be back!“
“Warm! Elegant! Great music! Great Greek Tapas options! Awesome bar! Live Jazz Music on Thursdays! Great Happy Hours options on Tapas and drinks! Sweet hosts!Baklava, PannaCotta and double shot espresso is to die for!We are definitely coming back!Wheelchair accessibility: On the ground floor with large doors“
“We recently had our wedding catered by Pheasant and they are truly the absolute best. Lola and Cat were wonderful during the entire planning process - so communicative, easy to talk to, and thoughtful with all their ideas. They helped us with planning our menu, handled all our rentals for furniture, linens, and serve wear, and worked with our planner to create a timeline for cocktails and dinner that flowed perfectly. We were blown away on wedding day - our tables turned out so beautiful and everything that was served was absolutely delicious. We even had many guests tell us it was the best wedding food they've had! We loved that everything was served family style and featured gorgeous, in-season produce. We are so thrilled with our experience with Pheasant and cannot recommend them enough!“
“Fatima Grill sounds like a fantastic dining spot offering a delightful fusion of Mexican and Middle Eastern cuisines. Birria tacos are a standout recommendation. It seems like a place worth visiting for those seeking a unique and delicious dining experience.“
“Nice restaurant close to the F/G station, you can park on the street, and there are buses that go down Smith. The menu is confusing; they have a code for vegetarian options, but that includes fish roe and octopus. If you want to be sure, just ask about the item you're ordering. The lentil soup is a good hearty portion, and the spanakopita is excellent. Lots of filling, well mixed and prepared (I.e. they don't just toss big chunks of feta with frozen spinach and call it a day like some places do). They were out of the beers on the menu but the house wine was fine. It smelled a bit strange in the back but in the front it was fine, so probably not something that happens often. Relatedly? single stall restroom in the back. Fast and friendly service. Pay cash to avoid a 4% surcharge!“
“Omg this place is amazing!! My sister recommended this place to me and I am so happy she did. Not only do you fall in love with every bite. But Eddy is so great!! He is very genuine and gave my sister and I the best experience. Not only did he make us laugh, but he let us try several ingredients. We felt so welcomed. Such a great gem in Brooklyn!! Clean, satisfying and worth every penny. Thank you Eddie !!“
“Literally one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in NYC (and I've been to a lot)! We ordered 5 Mezze options (potato, cauliflower , baba ganouj, labne, and hummus) to form a platter and everything was phenomenal. My boyfriend thought he didn't like baba ganoush until he tried it at this restaurant! This will definitely become a regular spot for us!Vegetarian options: All of the Mezze options are vegetarian, and they have many veg entrees and sides as well!“
“The food is delicious, traditional for the European countries of the former Soviet Union. Jellied meat, pancakes with meat, khachapuri, pork shish kebab with mashed potatoes - I can confidently recommend all this. The service is really good, but not perfect. I wish you success on your path to achieving the ideal! I am pleased with the fact that in the restaurant "Cafe Vanka" I can talk with the staff in Ukrainian.“
“Went there to work during the day. There are so many spots to sit at. It’s a cozy environment. The wifi works well.I ordered the blueberry matcha latte which was yummy. My friend got the empanada which she said was just okay. The drinks came out quickly. Make sure to ask for a stamp card! (10th drink is free.)Parking: Some spots are available on the street especially during the middle of the day.“
“I had a wonderful experience at Zaaman! If you're looking for great middle eastern food, look no further! There are so many delicious vegetarian options- I recommend the fattoush, falafel, hummus, labneh and baba ghanoush. The place itself was warm and inviting, and I was lucky to hear some live music. I danced all evening. Great food, and great fun. I will definitely be back.“
“Really good ambiance here and be sure to make reservations in advance the food is good i really like the mezze platter the best more than the pizza the service is oblong and multiple staff come to help out and check in with you. by the time the mezze platter was finished it took awhile for the pizza to arrive and it was very cold the flavors were good but it was so cold and tasted like it was out waiting until the first appetizers were done. 7/10 good vibes and allure i like it“
“Fresh food, texture with a good palate, variety between meat, chicken, salmon, good quality personalized attention, good atmosphere and pleasant music, under 100% health measures.. recommendedWheelchair accessibility: Direct access to the restaurant“
“In the heart of the city, there's a Turkish restaurant that stands out in its simplicity and the warmth of its people. It's a place where the food speaks of a rich history, a legacy of seafarers who, after months at sea, longed for hearty meals upon their return. Their cuisine evolved to be fulfilling, often rich in fats - a necessity for those harsh times.I encountered a Turkish lady there, a familiar face from another local establishment. Her presence adds an authentic touch to the place, reminding one of the genuine roots of the dishes served. Turkish cuisine, inherently rich, poses a challenge for eateries striving to adapt to healthier preferences. This restaurant, however, has nearly mastered this balance. While not entirely aligned with my palate, the food is compelling enough to keep me returning. So, in the spirit of earnest recommendation, yes, visit this Turkish spot. It's a place where simplicity and sincerity reign, offering flavors that echo a storied past, somewhat adjusted to fit our contemporary tastes.“
“We got a falafel plate and pita. The falafels stayed soft yet crunchy on the outside, and were filled with amazing flavors and spices. Genuinely, it was the best falafel I’ve had, and I think it will be hard to top.The salad, pita and hummus were very authentic and great on their own. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. ?“
“I absolutely love Four Five Six! The vibes inside are so cozy and homey, and their ample outdoor space is so fun when the weather is warm. I've gone here so many times that I decided to host my 30th birthday party here, and could not have had a better experience! The vibes and music were the perfect atmosphere for they party. I was able to reserve a large space in the back with couches and love seats, and guests went to the bar for drinks where the service was quick and the cocktails were amazing. People were also able to order food if they wanted it - I know a couple of my friends had the lasagna and loved it!! I would definitely recommend hosting a party here, but would also recommend it for a date night, or just drinks with friends. You can't go wrong with Four Five Six!“
“The food was phenomenal and they have the most amazingly long list of side dishes and vegetables. My dinner was the teriyaki salmon which I paired with garlic mashed potatoes and beets with feta and walnuts. It was so delicious! And the service was great, with a relaxing ambiance.“
“I don’t know how this place hasn’t blown up yet. It’s an underrated gem for incredible food. We had the squid ink burrata and mushroom raviolis, and it felt like we were back in the quaint, unforgettable eateries in europe. Love this “
“The service is nice but quite limited, you have to take back your stuff when you have finished and etc...The food is nice but not incredible. And there is no bathroom but if you ask the waiter/waitress they will take you to theirs in the back which is nice but still, it is a legal requirement to have a bathroom for customers.“
“Delicious restaurant on the water in Dumbo with expansive views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The food is delicious, with NY Strip and Short Rib Ragu as the absolute standouts. Highly recommend if you're looking for a date night or special occasion “
“Tasty Moroccan food, lovely atmosphere and really amazing and friendly staff. This was our first and last stop in New York, and on the first day, we got plenty of recommendations from our server. It was a great spot to kick-off our vacation, so much so that we returned just before our departure.“
