Based on others reviews I was surprised by how wrong they were. Of course taste is subjective, and I didn't come for coffee. I came for what I hoped would be a tasty middle eastern meal in a cool location. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food. We shared several dishes including hummus & pita, labne & griddle bread, chickpea falafel, yams, smoked lamb shawarma, and beets, feta, pistachio. Each dish was well seasoned and flavorful. Each was unique. The breads stood out on their own. The humus was the best that I've had. Kudos to Chef Asi.

Stop by with a couple of friends on a Friday night, place is warm and welcoming. Started with a Negroni which was spot on, had hummus platter which was the best in NYC so far, falafel which was bigger in size than the known falafel but yet very tasty. My friend raved about the cauliflower, but the star was the smoked lamb shawarma. All in all, good experience with attentive and responsive service with excellent food.
