“Has a great neighborhood spot vibe, with a very friendly bar staff that seem to really
love what they do.

Their menu features a lot of classics that are riffed on with aperitifs and vermouth’s - of which they have an amazing back bar display. I love seeing a bar that really goes deep on one style of drink and does it perfectly.
The drinks tend towards the lighter and session-able side, with a the on tap Americano Bianco being my favorite.

Happy hour is an amazing deal - I don’t know the last time I paid under $15 for an actually quality cocktail in NYC!“

“Came here with my best friend to catch up and we had a great time. The atmosphere is beautiful and the music is at the level to still be able to hold a conversation. My friend arrived before me and ordered us two margaritas and a beer to catch the happy hour prices. Then we tried the happy hour tacos. We had one of each, mushroom Al Pastor, Tinga and carnitas. I think the Al pastor isn’t bad just not my favorite vegetarian taco I’ve tried. Then the tinga surprised me - it’s actually very good and tastes very similar to what I grew up eating at home. My favorite was the carnitas taco. The tacos with the chile de árbol salsa or salsa macha is a great blend.
Then I ordered the carnitas gorditas and they were amazing - the Gordita was made made perfectly - I prefer a more crunchy Gordita than a fluffy one. My friend tried the sticky wings - they were cooked extra crispy like we asked for but the flavor wasn’t bad it was unexpected - there’s chamoy in their sauce, while they’re not bad wings they’re not great either.
The yuzu spritz truly stood out- very refreshing
The server was nice.“

“Three for dinner. We split all dishes so tried a nice section of the mention. Everything was at least very good, and some dishes rose to great. It’s all very classic Italian, so the thrill is how platonically ideal each dish was. The arancini salad and chicken parm were the least successful to our group; not bad, very tasty, but not the best version of parm, and not the best salad with savory crunch. The lobster diavola was more iconic. Just delicious, no complaints. The steak was also just right. Long beans were a great side, although not really Italian, not really south Asian.. We shared a great and very reasonably priced bottle of wine. Definitely will be back,“

“Cool little place with some good deals for happy hours.

The food variety is quite varied, and decent to boot. The cocktails and drinks are more traditional, I had a Paloma which is a basic tequila drink but Stonehenge is what I recommend for something unique, as the tarragon infused gin with fig mesh quite well into a slightly herbal and anise combo.

The ambiance is very chill, nice play to hang around with some friends, the staff is nice, and it’s quite comfy. Give it a look if you are in the area and have some time!“

I enjoyed my drinks, green daiquiri shots for the table and not to mention the DJ!!!!!! The DJ did not miss a beat LITERALLY. My eight girlfriends and I were dancing unapologetically and barely sat in our seats. They had complimentary water set up near the food truck order window. Pizza was a great fit with the drinks. 10/10 for sure, loved the random dance battles and participation by the staff. Since we had a large party size, the staff helped arrange/combine tables so we could be comfortable and sit with one another. “This is hands down one of the most special places in Brooklyn, maybe all of NYC. Something about Barzakh inherently feels like home from the second you walk in the door. Every time I’ve been here, the vibe has been unique. At night, it feels exciting, and carries an element of alternative nightlife. During the day, it’s analog, cozy, like your own back yard, and during community events, it’s a place for folks from every background to come together and appreciate a new form of art they may not have been exposed to before. This cafe is everything life in NYC should be—community driven, exciting, familiar in some ways, foreign in others.

Special shoutout to the owner and the staff. Some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet.“

“Eavesdrop is an incredible cocktail bar located in Greenpoint, centered around live dj sets with an emphasis on analog (viny) - but it’s more than just the music there and the drink - but the people as well. The entire eavesdrop staff is nothing short of a class, incredible service from the moment you walk in and you’re greeted by Levi. Okay, you already know it’s about to be a great night when you have someone like Levi greeting you. Then I am ushered by Tiffany, warmest greeting on the planet, and she explained what the space was about, the concept, even going into deep detail about the cocktail menu, curated by the brilliant minds of Nick and Dan. You can tell this place has heart, everything is done intentionally to the best of its abilities. Beyond the immensely impressive cocktail menu made by the best bartenders I’ve ever laid eyes on, the food is AMAZING. Seriously greatest food I’ve ever had, thank you John. So for my evening, I was delighted when I was ushered to the backyard, amazing ambiance.

Chris was out there working the drinks, man what a guy, he made me something called a Cuba libre and it was so nice, and then he made me one of the signature cocktails on the menu. Okay let’s talk about the music, whosever doing the booking over there and curating the night is doing an incredible job, the dj set by Cosmo was proper - no crumbs left.

Definitely top 5 places to catch a vibe in the entire state of New York.

Thank you! DEFINITELY coming back very very soon“
