“This place was AMAZING!! We paid for 1 hour. $40 per person. We booked around 4 on a Friday and we had the place almost completely to ourselves! Julie helped us out from start to finish. We were 3 newbies just looking for something fun and different. Awesome experience! Even though we all kinda sucked....it was crazy fun! Definitely give it a shot. Great idea for a night of fun hanging out with friends or family. In addition to the axe throwing, there's archery, throwing stars and knives! Check it out! You won't regret it!“

“We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at Elsa in late July. The staff were so helpful, the drinks were delicious, the inside atmosphere was comfortable, and the outside atmosphere was magical. We brought our own desserts and plates. We could play our own Spotify list. They even made a special kids’ drink for the under-21 set. Our guests loved every moment.“

“I truly love coming here, it’s like being transported into a cozy realm through Lynchian red curtains. The vintage aesthetic honoring the space’s history, the plating, the ambiance, the playlist, the exceptional and welcoming service - all of it makes me feel at home (away from home).

The food is truly sublime and without any pretentiousness - yet with creative attention to detail and the perfect sized portions - just truly delicious. I recommend grabbing a few dishes for the table and sharing to have the full experience of the menu, which also makes it even more familial feeling. I tend to try the specials and lean toward the seafood delicacies.

“My beautiful Grand daughter studied for the GMAT there. We enjoyed a delicious sandwich. The bathroom was nice I washed my hands. My beautiful grand daughter took a shot of whiskey then rode a bus LOL anyhoo great time in Brooklyn for all it was also Halloween and this fun loving grandma dressed as a cat. The ambiance is perfect - energetic, while still being able to hear the person across from you, the service is excellent, and the food is the best meal I've had at a restaurant in a long time. 2. I’ve never been a part of the french fries debate until coming here. Best french fries I’ve had hands downs. Had with the garlic aioli and oysters. Oui Oui.

3. The playlist in here is another level. Perfect volume, great for conversation but also great for listening. Explores all genres but with an excellent through line. Thoroughly enjoyed and would come back for the vibes alone.

Among the appetizers, the bandora showcased heirloom tomatoes at their absolute freshest, while the rakkat achieved a rare and graceful balance between sweet and savory. The kibbeh naya is a must-try for anyone who appreciates raw meat.

Service, courtesy of Ismail, was warm without being intrusive, striking exactly the right note. We will be back.“

“Came here on a date night with the wife who is Uruguayan. The provolone was a fantastic starter, reminded me of the one I had during my last visit to Uruguay. In my wife’s 2+ decades in the states I’ve never heard her rant and rave over a chivito the way she did theirs. She said and I quote “this is the best chivito she’s had since being in the USA,” so that should tell you something. I had the Uruguayan Ribeye and I left just the cutting board it came on, nothing was safe. I was hesitant about the Duck fat potatoes because it’s not something I haven’t tried, but they were perfect. The ribeye was to die for, I wanted more. Dessert was just as good too. My wife loved the flan, and I’ll take her word because all flan is bad to me. The Alfajor was so damn good. It was different than the traditional one I’m used to eating, but fantastic nonetheless. We will definitely be returning, and telling everyone we know to travel to Brooklyn to give this place a try.“

“Trove is a neighborhood gem, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner but also amazing for a private party. In July I booked Trove for a daytime weekend private event, a surprise brunch celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday. He had a ton of family coming in from Ireland so we wanted the event to feel special and the food to be excellent. We also wanted to have flexibility to mix and mingle and enjoy each other’s company. Trove absolutely delivered. The food and drinks were delicious, which was not surprising given my previous visits there. The party guests were raving about it as they ate—salad, yogurt, French toast, the pizza of course, etc!

However the real star is the owner, Kaylan. She coordinated the party details with me and manned the bar for the entire party. She was so helpful, anticipating our needs before we did and pitching in with all requests (finding a playlist my dad requested, lowering the music for the “surprise” part of the party, taking a group photo, clearing tables as folks were eating, refilling drinks and keeping the self-serve drink station staffed). She was so lovely that, again, my family was raving about the service even in the midst of the party. My 10 month old was also there and as always Trove is a great kid-friendly spot during the day. I’m a lifelong loyal customer now and can’t wait to be back for my next brunch or dinner!“

“Love L&V! The natural wine list is awesome, lots of orange wine and other fun options I'd never tried. The bartender walked us through a few different wines without being precious about it. The cocktail list is great, too. Space has such a good vibe and it never felt stuffy even though the wine knowledge runs deep. I'm already planning to bring friends back. Best wine bar in Greenpoint, hands down.“
