“Upon entering you feel like you entered into a placstse that you have been going to for years. It's warm and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. It feels good to be here. The drinks came first, I had the "revenge of the line" smokey with mescal and tangy with habanero pepper. Delicious! We shared the burratta with squash puree. It was creamy and delicious with micro greens and pesto. We also shared the trout which was cooked perfectly, served whole with the bones already removed. Very tasty. We also shared the pulled pork pasta. It has an amazing flavor profile, sweet, tangy, spicy and porky. I didn't know what to make of it at first but as I ate it I realized just how good it was. For desert we enjoyed the banana cake with vanilla and banana ice cream. It was the perfect end to the meal. Be aware that the platting is very generous be prepared to bring home whatever you can eat, we did. I recommend you go here, the staff, the food, the atmosphere were all amazing.“

They have bar seating, tables, and a backyard patio that's heated in the winter. “This is my neighborhood bar! I don't get to go often, but when I do Travis and the other bartenders are so nice and welcoming. I recently had my birthday party at their private back room and Travis checked in to make sure everything was going well! The room had amazing atmosphere and was very clean and well designed. We weren't able to hang decorations on the wall, but was allowed to hang them on the back curtain and use balloons. Service is always amazing but most importantly the drinks and food are top notch. I accidentally left a bday gift at the party and they were able to find it for me later that weekend. Thank you for a good time and hope to be back soon!!“

Went here kind of by accident for a friends birthday as we were looking for a last minute reservation and they had availability for some reason and friend wanted Italian. Food was absolutely amazing. Appetizers were great including octopus and prosciutto- but the pinsas were truly out of this world. Light, airy - amazing crust with decent chew. Pastas were surprisingly top notch as well! The ragu which even the top Michelin starred places in the city always make sense, and massively salty was perfect. Amazing service, awesome deserts. We had a great time, highly recommended. Nothing beats going into a restaurant with high hopes and moderate expectations just to get much more than expected. Rare these days when overrated seems to be the norm.“

“A lot of bars have board games, but for most of them it's clearly whatever they picked up at the thrift shop, you know? But this place has board games picked out by someone who knows the current state of board game design. They're not games where you have to spend an hour reading the rules, but they're also not just Monopoly and Scrabble--they're games that are fun, approachable, and actually designed in this century. Board game geekery aside, this is a cool place. Friendly bartender, nice outdoor space, and a cider on tap.“

The place has a bar and kitchen that makes some comfort and finger food. Have cozy couches with table games as well as bar stools so you can hang out with your friends there. But of course, the main attraction is axe throwing. Each range has two targets, so two people can throw axes at the same time. But if you have a larger group of people it's not a problem either, you can take turns and make teams competition. You have 1 hour at your disposal at the range. It was way more fun than bowling or pool.Reservation is strongly recommended!“

“I cannot believe I haven't written a review for Cafe Spaghetti yet. I guess I knew that it was going to be a hands-down success without my help, so didn't feel urgency in writing one. I had been following them from the second I heard the announcement of a place called "Cafe Spaghetti" opening near me.I have now been an at least monthly regular to the place bringing anyone I can get to come to dinner with me. The name of the restaurant encapsulates the restaurant perfectly. The name SOUNDS delicious and simple. And the food is generally simple, but when "simple food" is made with the highest quality ingredients and care is taken to the small details that elevate its simplicity without complicating it, "simple food" is the BEST food. The standouts to me are the ricotta crostini with toasted hazlenuts, rosemary and a truffle honey drizzle for appetizer. I almost always go with the simple but perfect bowl of spaghetti pomodoro. I have however been swayed by a special once or twice. Notably their linguine with lobster sauce. However I have tried a bite of almost everything on the menu as my guests have been varied and have tried different things. My kids love the fusilli grosso and the meatballs (I often will eat some bites of the delicious meatballs on the side of my spaghetti). To me, though, the spaghetti pomodoro is the perfect plate of food and I haven't had a better bowl of spaghetti anywhere else in the vast world of italian food in NYC -- and believe me, I've been trying for years.“

The lights are very dim and the music is Lo-fi so no problem hearing your companion speak like at other bars. The one big caveat at this place is that it was hard to breathe at times because the scent of the burning incense and whatever other methods they were using was so strong that we almost had to leave, but it eventually died down so we stayed. Now I am a person with 7 candles lit at a time in my house so for me to complain about the strong scent is a pretty big deal. Other than that, great place!!“

The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club Bar

“The game of shuffleboard is no longer moderately relegated to retirement communities and cruise ships. It has officially become cool. What a great idea, honestly. On top of a very fun and easy to enjoy game, you can get great drinks from a full bar, "table" service, and pick from plenty of food options if you're hungry. You book by the hour, take a quick lesson, and then you are left to it. You keep your own score and can fit in quite a few games depending on how fast you play. There are few things more satisfying than a strategic last shot bump of your opponent into the -10 zone, and in our true competitive nature, we were all aiming for that. Just do yourself a favor and get here early, or at least be prepared to wait. We arrived on a Sunday about 10 minutes after opening and there were only 2 lanes left, quickly taken not long after we started.“

Giant Pretzel

“Long overdue review of this gem :) Best place in all of New York to watch premier league games. The team behind the bar is amazing. Awesome selection of beers, spirits etc and if you get hungry they make very good sausages! But even if you don’t come here to watch a game you’ll still have a good time.“

“In my case I chose to eat only pizza and it was fine. It is a very good pizza but it is not the best you will try. The people who work here are very friendly. The space is not very nice but for making “pizza on the go” I think it is very good. The best of all is that it is very well located in a space to take good photos of the bridge.“

“Incredible place!! Like others just happened to be in Red Hook that day, stumbled upon it, and what a find it turned out to be! Service and food was all impeccable. We started with the crispy Brussels salad, then for mains angoletti and spaghetti hangover. Both delicious!Special shout out to Enrico and the staff for the incredible hospitality“
