Great place with good cocktails and very good service!
The bartender was awesome, laid back vibes about the place, and the drinks were delicious. My new go to place when I am in Brooklyn.
We just had a private party in their back room and it was great. The bartenders took care of everything and made great drinks. It's a great bar definitely check it out for next party event

Halyards is a cozy and spacious bar, known for its weekly Bitches Brew comedy show on Friday nights at 8:30pm, one of the best free comedy shows in New York. The show typically features about eight comics, and you might as well check out the open mic right before it to see some of the best up-and-coming talent. Derek Snipes also hosts a great open mic on Tuesday nights. The bar offers a variety of affordable drink options, including great cocktails like the thin ice. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the indoor space is large and inviting, with a pool table, smaller tables, and an outdoor seating area. The back room is super convenient for private parties, with a food/beverage minimum and the option to bring your own food. While the pizzas may not be super great, they get the job done. Halyards has a great environment with great music, a clean restroom, and easy free street parking. The ramp for the side door makes it wheelchair accessible. Overall, it’s a great place for group meet-ups, pre-show drinks, or hosting events.
