“Atmosphere, service and food from here are all amazing. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink and a bite. I tried the burger and dumplings paired with the lemon drop martini. Everything was amazing and brought to the table relatively quickly.“

“Went here on a friday night and it was empty at first. Very open spaced bar and has lots of seating. I had their frozen espresso martini which is best tackling the New York heat. At around 10:30, more people started coming in and it was pretty busy. Also ordered the truffle fries and brussel sprouts, great great bar food.“

“Went on a whim and I’m glad I did. They have an amazing selection of German and American micro brewed beer plus some awesome happy hour prices. If you live in the area or commonly come to Greenpoint, make Torst a stop on your travels. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make this a must visit for any beer and wine aficionado in your life. You won’t regret it!“

“The Canary is by far the best locals bar in Crown Heights. Everyone is very friendly. Excellent food with an array of the best beer and whiskey Ireland has to offer. Best Guinness pour I have found outside of Ireland! Live music on Sundays earlier in the evening. A must see if you are in Brooklyn!“

“We love Kent Ale House! We went here for a small "afterparty" after our wedding. We had coordinated with Clive ahead of time, who was flexible, understanding, and so kind. When it became clear that we weren't going to have more than about 15 people, Clive suggested that we should NOT rent the back room, but just hang out in the main area; that is, he did the OPPOSITE of upselling us. They kindly turned on a Yankee game from a few days prior so we could watch it. The food was delicious, the people were great, and we were so happy to be there. Clive even wrote us a note the following day congratulating us on our wedding!“

“Came here with friends to watch the NY Liberty game. It’s a spacious bar, with ample seating throughout. I do wish the game was played on more than one screen (only one screen was playing the game, so we had to cram over people to get a view of the screen). The food was good, and came quite fast. The bartender was very nice, and made my drink EXACTLY how I wanted it. Just wish they played local games on more than 1 screen.
Parking: Parking on street
Wheelchair accessibility: Venue is somewhat wheelchair accessible, just have to navigate some narrow areas“

“I love this bar but their trivia takes forever. It’s been an hour and we are still in round #1. The hosts, though cute, do too much banter and the scoring system also draws out the process too long. Bless your hearts but I have a bedtime ?
TLDR trivia takes too long“
“Walked into this place and I am fairly certain I entered a time warp. I entered as a hipster at 2pm and left as a 1950’s greaser at 12am. The light in the place didn’t change over the 10 hours I was there. Slowly my hair grew and slicked back, a pack of cigarettes rolled into the sleeve of my white t-shirt. Seriously, this place is a throwback in time hope I made my point. Have a beer and marvel at how some things never change.“

“We’re from Chicago and were staying in Brooklyn over the weekend. We were worn out from walking and needed a place to rest our tired selves. This was the perfect neighborhood joint. The bartender was the nicest human (I’m sorry I don’t know your name...it was Sunday around 4 or 5). We felt totally at home while we had a couple of great beers. Thanks!“

“Feeney’s pub is a home away from home good ppl and great bartender’s always have good experiences. I have had my birthday’s there a few times and also thrown few party there and it’s always a great experience with great ppl so I will recommend Feeneys for any occasions you have“
“Great little neighborhood classic Irish pub feel but with several games you could play. Darts, pool table/billiards, two arcade style machines for I think some sort of like casino card game, they got a modern jukebox & some Friday nights they even got Karaoke!. They have an ATM to get cash for the pool table only accepts coins quarters. It’s not a big pub but it’s got a great vibe the bartender and the locals and people there are very friendly and staff provides great service. if you want the experience of authentic Brooklyn classic Irish pubs then this bar is a must visit. Very mixed crowd mostly from the neighborhood. They got several regulars, solid drinks. Nothing fancy nothing bougie got about five beers on tap usually. For special occasions sometimes they’ll have food but it’ll be like ordered and delivered like catered or something like that, they don’t have a kitchen inside, so there is an anything to munch on or eat there. I think you might be able to deliver there if you want to eat.“

“I’ve attended many birthdays and other special occasions in the main front room at Mug’s, and recently hosted a small get together on a Thursday night. The staff was super accommodating in helping me reserve a few high-top tables, especially given how last-minute my request was. The space is well laid out for gatherings of 20 to 25 people if you are looking to enjoy a bar atmosphere without having to be in a private room. Looking forward to my next visit!“

“I just recently moved back to Bay Ridge after years away. Going into Bean Post I was welcomed and felt right at home on my 1st visit. The Food is fantastic and the mixed drinks they know how to pour them in Brooklyn. They offer fantastic meals especially there Thanksgiving meals you can pick up. My girlfriend had major surgery about 2 weeks ago. It was not possible for us to cook a Thanksgiving meal. WE ordered 2 Thanksgiving meals and the portions were amazing and a value we could not find anywhere else. The Turkey Dinners we purchased and the joy we had sharing Thanksgiving together with our dinners from Bean Post made it a Wonderful Holiday. We are now looking forward to ordering Christmas dinners from Anthony and his family. They treated us well. THANK YOU!“

“The only reason I gave the food a 4 is they sell what is supposed to be macaroni and cheese it was shell and a white sauce I kept tasting it in hopes I would taste a hint of cheese no such luck Everything else there is quality and as expected. I live their wings they are fresh and not pumped with steroids.
The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is friendly.“

“Best fries ever! The burgers use to be good... Idk if the changed management or workers but, definitely not the same as a year ago when I first came here. Vegetables are not fresh & not enough quantity. I had to ask for a good amount of veggies on my burger since the last time I went there all they gave me was a leaf of lettuce (the core!) & 3 strips of onions. Ps Spicy mayo sauce is good“

“Hollow Nickel is a five star at its price point. Get the smash burger! Mark is a great bartender. He knows the good places in Brooklyn . Nice place to relax if you need a place to chill or recharge. Ask mark for places to go or places to eat.

“Let there be brunch! I had no idea this place has had brunch. I have had most things on their regular menu, which does get updated every so often, but saw a sign for brunch yesterday. Like their regular menu, the brunch options are limited but boy do they all sound great.
I got chilaquiles and they didn’t disappoint. The two eggs were cooked perfect and the green sauce was delicious with lots of spices and flavor. We also got the lemon ricotta pancakes. They had crispy areas, we soft, and had the right density. Very very tasty.“

“Moving to Parkslope/ Downtown Brooklyn from the Bronx, adjusting to new neighborhood, ha, the rival borough. Surrounded by such beautiful, unique diversity in the culinary arts and experiences; The North Pole, within a year of my arrival to the neighborhood, organically has become my to go spot, my safe space. Not just when I visit alone to work on my writing at 2/3 in the morning, but also when I’ve brought a close friend to vent about her romantic relationships and heartaches, but also just to unwind and get lose, momentarily pausing once day-to-day adult struggle, by getting lost in Cartoon Networks imaginary worlds though caricatures of our human dreams and desires. It’s a great mix crowded. Clean bathrooms. Good vibe out front in the smoking area. Great conversations. What sealed it for me was and is the goose guava beer on tab. The owner is great and I’ve personally have witnessed him stand up, to the point of dismissing and politely welcoming those who don’t mind their business and disrespect others just for their own ignorance. He’s very firmly has told those folks that The North Pole isn’t the place for hate and discrimination. That aloneeeeeeee without me realizing made me stand harrddd and support this The North Pole Bar out of the more than 20 locals on the strip to grab a beer from. The price is right. The vibe is right. The love, respect, and community is felt.“

“Great atmosphere. With a great backyard space. Set for large groups. A large array of beers and ciders on tap. In house board and card games that will get drinking and eating for hours, that won't break the bank. Staff is friendly and on point. Trivia nights are a blast. And over all engaging crowds.“

“Hands down an excellent bar to hang out and catch a game. Have a few pints with friends and put some music on the jukebox. They don't serve food but you can order in and eat it there. The staff of amazing, if Johan is there you're going to have a great time. Make sure you take care of him, and he'll take care of you. Depending on the hour I've found parking time and time again. Definitely returning here, again.“

“What a blast at starlight tavern. Been for a birthday party , and for a relaxing December evening with friends. Although I did walk in on this freak who would not lock the bathroom door, and I did find a man passed out on the skee ball table (EMTs came, he was just catatonic after losing a $10 bet on the game) I always have a great time here. Helpful staff. Drinks sort of pricey but par for the neighborhood, 8 dollar drafts etc.“

“Karaoke - every other Wednesday 8 to 12 by Huy and Jay - makes this a great place to meet old friends and make new ones over the microphone! My favourite bottled pilsner, Rothaus, is served there. And if you're a goodfella or (goodfilly) who tips well and lends a hand with the staff unbidden, like bussing your glass, MAYBE they might put you on the friends and family list. Still, in all, this is hands down the best place in Greenpoint for karaoke. I only wish it was every Wednesday. Super dog-friendly, as well!“
