Walked into this place and I am fairly certain I entered a time warp. I entered as a hipster at 2pm and left as a 1950’s greaser at 12am. The light in the place didn’t change over the 10 hours I was there. Slowly my hair grew and slicked back, a pack of cigarettes rolled into the sleeve of my white t-shirt. Seriously, this place is a throwback in time hope I made my point. Have a beer and marvel at how some things never change.
Is that the firehouse bell I hear ringing?! Nope, that's just the sound of beer glasses clinking together at Smith's Tavern! A great place to loosen the suspenders and pound some shots back!

Great old-school bar in Brooklyn. Went in for a pint during a tough week. Bartender was friendly, cool, and poured a nice pint. Place is dark and clean like a bar should be. Comfortable, great music, warm atmosphere. Felt the ghosts of countless good times. It just feels right. Couldn't do more than one today but will definitely stop in for a session when I can. Already informed others. Smith's is a classic Brooklyn pub.
