“We recently hosted a baby shower for our daughter and son-in-law at Lavender Lake, with 65 of our closest friends and family, and it was absolutely perfect.
The staff were incredible from start to finish—so helpful during set-up and consistently attentive to our guests throughout the event. They made everything feel seamless and stress-free.
The food was delicious, and the team did a wonderful job keeping everything fresh and fully stocked. At the end, they even provided containers so guests could take home leftovers, which was such a thoughtful touch.
I highly recommend Lavender Lake for any special event—or even just a lovely evening out!“

Love coming here for random sporting events or just meeting up with friends to watch random shit together on tv (the Olympics, Super Bowl, oscars). They will put anything on for you!
But it’s really the food that keeps me coming back. Love that appetizer sampler and the burgers plus the wings. Great bar staff too (bless them for always supplying me with ice cold lime soda water with my margs).

“(Nov 2014) Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesn’t quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!“

“Hosted my birthday gathering here 2 straight years and it’s been a wonderful experience each time. Service is awesome and it’s truly a gem to host a free gathering. Be sure to create your Spotify playlist and send your food order in advance of your gathering/celebration. Additionally, the space is beautiful!“

“After the museum, we were a big group for lunch. There was a happy hour menu with drinks and some food options. Tacos were great, spicy and hibiscus margaritas were very good, and those who had sandwiches also really enjoyed. Prices were very fair (cheap even). Service excellent. Highly recommend!“

“Comfortable place with excellent food and really nice backyard. A large selection of beers/ ciders and spirits. Open areas plus booths and corners great for datenight.
The food was fresh and cooked to order. Plus can easily be linked to your bar tab, so you don't have to have a separatebill or find a atm. Will definitely be going back soon.“

“I had such a great brunch at Henry Public today. The whole experience was fantastic. The neighborhood itself is lovely, and the atmosphere inside feels very vintage and authentic — like stepping back in time in the best way.
We ordered the steak and eggs, and I highly, highly recommend it. The quality of the food was excellent, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The pricing is also very reasonable for the quality you get.
What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, a wonderful spot for brunch — I would definitely recommend it and would happily come back again.“
