“Every neighborhood should have a cute neighborhood home-cooking spot like BigNorm. The cozy interior is decorated with the owner's crafts and artwork. I enjoyed a leisurely dinner and chat with the owner. Tho it's a small space and only a few high stools, if you're not in a rush it's relaxing to sit and street-watch. The owner takes a lot of care to prepare good food and the menu has fun things that you'd enjoy like when going home for the weekend. Thanks for a pleasant visit!“

“Incredible food, impeccable service. Came in without realizing they close in the middle of the day for change over and was still sat and served and wasn’t rushed at all. It was a perfect hearty and healthy meal on a rainy day. Kimchi was some of the best I’ve had.“

“BEST restaurant I've EVER been to in my life. Literally had me in a choke hold. I came from Florida to visit NY around May and stumbled in with my friend. Ever since then I could never forget them 😭 the staff are so sweet too. I'm coming back Namdo, just you wait. Please open up another shop in South Florida 🙏 I'll pay top dollar for that recipe too“

“The service was phenomenal. The waitress and waitor were very patient and accommodating. The waitress took hints really well. One of the best experiences I had with service.
The beef broth was amazing, rich and creamy but very smooth. It was one of the best broth I had. The rice and the beef were mediocre.“

“I ordered a poke bowl and the salmon was basically frozen. I could taste the ice as I chewed. Other than that, the food was good and the place is nice. There is never anyone at the register, and while I was waiting for my food, I witnessed several other people come in and tried to yell to the back to ask if anyone could come to the counter. I did not see anyone respond, so customers just picked up bags off the shelf and left.“

“I am Korean and this is legit Korean food I could find in Brooklyn! If you love spicy rice cake, this is the place you would go. I live in UWS and I often go to New Jersey for good Korean food, but this restaurant is my
#1 Korean restaurant so far.
My best dish were 1) spicy rice cake 2) LA galbi with rice 3) jjaeyook with rice 4) galbi tang with rice“

“I recently had an amazing Korean food experience that truly hit every craving.
We started with the Japchae (D), and it was absolutely delicious. The glass noodles were perfectly chewy, lightly sweet, and tossed beautifully with vegetables. It had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors that makes japchae so comforting.
The Bulgogi (beef) was incredibly flavorful. The beef was tender, well-marinated, and grilled just right. It had that perfect smoky-sweet taste that makes bulgogi a must-order every time.
The Kimmari were crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful glass noodles inside. Dipping them in soy sauce made them even better — crunchy, savory, and addictive.
For appetizers, the Padak stood out. The chicken was crispy and juicy, topped with fresh scallions and a light sauce that added just the right kick without overpowering the crunch.
The Kimchi Jjigae was warm, hearty, and full of depth. The broth had that bold fermented kimchi flavor with a spicy edge that made it incredibly comforting.
The Kimchi Fried Rice was another highlight — smoky, savory, and perfectly balanced. Each bite had just the right amount of tangy kimchi flavor.
To drink, I tried Milkis, which was sweet, creamy, and refreshing — a fun Korean classic. I also had a bottle of Terra, a crisp Korean beer that paired perfectly with the rich and spicy dishes.
Overall, everything felt authentic, flavorful, and satisfying. The variety of textures — crispy, chewy, tender, and brothy — made the meal exciting from start to finish. I would definitely come back to try even more dishes.“

“Lovely owner. I can’t believe I missed out on their fried chicken for so long. I loved the soy garlic sauce. The chicken was so juicy. The miso soup, white rice, and coleslaw were also great. Highly recommend visiting! I’ll be back.“

“This restaurant is so delicious, the atmosphere is amazing, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Especially the marinated short ribs — they’re insanely good. Sylvia was also so kind and welcoming that I definitely want to come back again.“
“Kimchi Kooks is a neighborhood gem. Fresh, flavorful, healthy banchan. There is a rotating set of options and a solid line up of mainstays. Also a reliable spot to grab a takeout lunch. I’ve gone many times and always had good experiences.“

“We stumbled upon Tiger Box when we were looking for a lunch spot near Fort Greene Park, and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the pork mandoo, pork ssam box, and bulgogi bibimbap, and everything was incredible. The food was flavorful, fresh, and tasted authentically Korean—which can honestly be hard to find in this part of Brooklyn.
As much as we loved the food, what really stood out was our interaction with the owner. She runs the place herself and is truly the heart of the business. She was so friendly, welcoming, and somehow managed to whip up our entire order in record time. You can tell she puts a lot of care into both the food and the experience.
Tiger Box is the kind of local gem you hope to find. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by, or grabbing takeout and enjoying it in Fort Greene Park. We'll definitely be back.“

“We visited K-Pot yesterday, and overall the food and service from the servers were excellent. The food came out incredibly fast, the seafood was fresh, the pork belly BBQ was delicious, and the virgin piña colada was amazing. A special thank you to our servers, Boscow and Ming, who were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Unfortunately, our experience with the hosts was the complete opposite. As first-time customers, we weren’t familiar with the seating process or how the menu worked. Instead of welcoming us and helping us understand how everything worked, they appeared annoyed and frustrated from the moment we arrived. It honestly felt like they viewed having additional customers as extra work they didn’t want to deal with.
They were rude straight to our faces, dismissive, and lacked basic professionalism. We were simply asking questions that any first-time customer would have, yet they made us feel like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. A host is the first impression of a restaurant, and no guest should be made to feel unwelcome for needing guidance.
It’s disappointing because the servers and management seem to genuinely care about providing a great dining experience. The photos attached were taken during our visit and reflect the experience we had. K-Pot has amazing food and wonderful servers, but the attitude at the front door can easily overshadow everything else and cost the restaurant loyal customers. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so future guests receive the same level of hospitality from the hosts as they do from the rest of the staff.“

“Tried both the wings and the drumsticks. The wings were definitely the highlight. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right.
The drumsticks, on the other hand, were a bit disappointing. They weren’t bad, but compared to the wings, they lacked flavor and didn’t stand out. If it’s your first visit, I’d recommend going with the wings.“

The market is part of the Dokebi family so they have the famous lil Dokebi burritos and tacos made fresh to order. This place is suberb having everything from steaks from grass fed local cows, to farm fresh produce to hot steamy dishes!“

“This is actually my fave k-chicken spot in the city. The spicy soy garlic wings are fire but my go to is the spicy crispy wings (dry rub). It's the perfect combo of super crispy outside with a perfectly tender and most inside. Also, a moment of appreciation for the fries?! They're the thick, extra craggly kind that are the best vehicle for sauces.“

“Very enjoyable experience here in Brooklyn. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and freshness. The different sauces were excellent, especially because each one had its own character without being too heavy. The atmosphere was lively, clean, and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive even when it was busy. A great place if you want very good Korean fried chicken. Definitely a spot I would recommend and visit again.“

“Today, we had a family gathering, so we submitted 10 servings of fresh bulgogi and made it like at K Town for a party. It was more delicious and hearty than the bulgogi I had in Hangu. Next time, we ordered some LA ribs and had a barbecue in the backyard. My friend also promised to have the next party with their friends from Washington. They ordered a lot of kimchi, cucumber kimchi, kimchi fried rice, and kimbap, and the guests were very satisfied. It seems like a new chef is quite capable.“

“The lady at the front desk now is super pretty and nice, and has a great attitude. The drinks made by the tea making lady are also delicious every time.
However, there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke every time I come here. The smell of smoke wafts in after the staff smokes, and it lingers for a long time, which is very unfriendly to pregnant women and children.“

“I was here last week for a food event/car show(?). The line and wait to get inside was not all too bad minus the stray rain showers that came down once in a while. Food was amazing but the venue itself was not well ventilated so I had to catch myself going outside after a short while.“

“moonbowls has three vegan options which you can get as a bowl, salad, or plate: Impossible beef, crispy cauliflower, and sesame tofu bowl. It also has a special avocado bulgogi bowl. Each option, in whatever form, packs a punch. With the exception of the egg, all their sides and sauces are vegan. Also carries Sweet Loren’s edible cookie dough and edible brownie for dessert. Operates out of the Doordash ghost kitchen with only a pickup or delivery options. It’s on the pricey side but a good lunch option if you want something different from the usual and want to treat yourself.“
