“Every neighborhood should have a cute neighborhood home-cooking spot like BigNorm. The cozy interior is decorated with the owner's crafts and artwork. I enjoyed a leisurely dinner and chat with the owner. Tho it's a small space and only a few high stools, if you're not in a rush it's relaxing to sit and street-watch. The owner takes a lot of care to prepare good food and the menu has fun things that you'd enjoy like when going home for the weekend. Thanks for a pleasant visit!“

“A great place for Sunday branch, and especially after a hard party. So many delicious Korean soul food will easy your intestines and fill up your heart. I had DolDot BiBimPop and the ingredients were very fresh. You can even make it a vegetarian dish. My friend had Soft Tofu soup (SoonDooBoo) it just the right amount of spiciness. As a Korean American who liked in the US for 36 years, I can say this is one of the great Korean foods places.“

“The staff was friendly. Food was excellent! Will definitely be coming back. My daughter and I are now obsessed and can’t wait to come back with my husband. Enjoyable casual eat-in experience.
We had:
- fried veggie dumplings
- kimchi pa jeon ( kimchi pancake)
- la galbi gui (beef short ribs)
- dak gui
Excited to eat our leftovers tomorrow.“

“I recently had an amazing Korean food experience that truly hit every craving.
We started with the Japchae (D), and it was absolutely delicious. The glass noodles were perfectly chewy, lightly sweet, and tossed beautifully with vegetables. It had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors that makes japchae so comforting.
The Bulgogi (beef) was incredibly flavorful. The beef was tender, well-marinated, and grilled just right. It had that perfect smoky-sweet taste that makes bulgogi a must-order every time.
The Kimmari were crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful glass noodles inside. Dipping them in soy sauce made them even better — crunchy, savory, and addictive.
For appetizers, the Padak stood out. The chicken was crispy and juicy, topped with fresh scallions and a light sauce that added just the right kick without overpowering the crunch.
The Kimchi Jjigae was warm, hearty, and full of depth. The broth had that bold fermented kimchi flavor with a spicy edge that made it incredibly comforting.
The Kimchi Fried Rice was another highlight — smoky, savory, and perfectly balanced. Each bite had just the right amount of tangy kimchi flavor.
To drink, I tried Milkis, which was sweet, creamy, and refreshing — a fun Korean classic. I also had a bottle of Terra, a crisp Korean beer that paired perfectly with the rich and spicy dishes.
Overall, everything felt authentic, flavorful, and satisfying. The variety of textures — crispy, chewy, tender, and brothy — made the meal exciting from start to finish. I would definitely come back to try even more dishes.“

“The food was high quality, well portioned, and FRESH. The staff was attentive for gluten allergies and the fried chicken was celiac-safe / gluten free. Incredible find. It wasn’t at all spicy so you’ll need to add a kick via the sauces.“

“Tried the spicy chicken with extra veggies and it was AMAZING 🔥
The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portion was great for the price. You can really tell the chef cares about the food and takes pride in her work. Super welcoming atmosphere, nice cool AC, and everything tasted made with love.
Definitely coming back again. If you want good food at a good price, this spot is worth trying!“

“Incredible Korean food - I got the chicken broth, rice (was told this is traditional form), and the tofu mushroom, and kimchi sauce, which was an incredibly balanced, light, complex, silky umami combination. The kimchi sauce brought brightness, a hint of acidity to the otherwise silky goodness of the dish. Give the tofu and mushroom a couple minutes to more fully absorb the delicious flavors before digging in.
I also highly recommend the mushroom skewer appetizer. They have a slight smokiness from the grill and are coated in rich combination of salty and fatty sauces.
I was helped along by an incredibly kind server and hostess who walked me through recommendations and tips.
Despite service being a little slow (felt like too few staff for the amount of diners), this restaurant is getting added to my shortlist immediately. Highly recommend“

“Both the hot pot and the BBQ are excellent. I recommend coming when you are hungry to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat nature of the menu. The staff is friendly and can help with any questions if you are new to this style of eating. Men's restroom was a little gross, but it looks like they have a decent cleaning schedule and the issue could have been the guy before me had poor aim.“
“Kimchi Kooks is a neighborhood gem. Fresh, flavorful, healthy banchan. There is a rotating set of options and a solid line up of mainstays. Also a reliable spot to grab a takeout lunch. I’ve gone many times and always had good experiences.“

“Found this gem by chance. All the dishes were amazing. The fried chicken that they're known for were very crispy and tasty. Just like what I used to have back in Korea growing up! My favorite though were the dumplings. The drinks were great too.
The server was amazingly attentive. The vibe was chill and welcoming.
Will have to come back to try other dishes.“

“I've picked up a quick lunch and also end of day 'too good to go' meals several times over the past 6-9 months and the service is always friendly and the food fresh and delicious and always reasonably priced. I love to get 5 mini pies, assorted fillings and toppings and if you're throwing a little party or gathering, you can't go wrong with a dozen of these, warmed and cut into 3-4 pieces, it's the nicest easiest appetizer ever.“

“Never had Korean Fried Chicken, but my lady wanted to try it and seriously a hidden gem on 86th street. Food was fresh, the lunch special was worth it. The bulgogi tacos were freaking amazing and their coleslaw was on point. My Fiancé had their soup and was impressed with the flavor explosion in her mouth. To make it even better Leticia who works there was super dope and nice. Go check it out, its worth the trip!“

“Delicious bibimbap! I was looking for a hot stone pot bowl on a cold night and Kuun absolutely delivered. I got mine with fried tofu and all the fix-ins. Also, the cocktail list is extensive and offers a lot of Korean-inspired drinks. Interior is sleek, staff is very accommodating and you probably won't have to wait any more than 20 mins. for a 2-person table. Love it, Kuun!“

“Top 3 k fried chicken I’ve had in my life! Excited to try Sweetie’s after trying Peeps a few weeks ago. The wings were fried to perfection. Didn’t have that double fried (wet coat?) crunch like the heyday of BonChon about 20 years ago but it was a pleasant crunch nonetheless. I would say the crunch is close to what you would imagine Kentucky Fried Chicken’s would taste like based on the picture but unlike that KFC there is no disappointment! Sweetie’s has a nice combination of crunch that also crumbles softly.
My kid got the tteokbokki and it was a very decent sized portion for the price. Good flavor, they didn’t skimp on the sauce, and the rice cakes were not over/under cooked!
Theo rice bowls and jap chae both looked good but will have to wait till next time to actually taste them“

“moonbowls has three vegan options which you can get as a bowl, salad, or plate: Impossible beef, crispy cauliflower, and sesame tofu bowl. It also has a special avocado bulgogi bowl. Each option, in whatever form, packs a punch. With the exception of the egg, all their sides and sauces are vegan. Also carries Sweet Loren’s edible cookie dough and edible brownie for dessert. Operates out of the Doordash ghost kitchen with only a pickup or delivery options. It’s on the pricey side but a good lunch option if you want something different from the usual and want to treat yourself.“

“Best flower selection in the neighborhood to customize and pick a variety of floral arrangements. The market is solid too - the Korean food (wings, bimbimbap rolls, kimchi soup) and snacks are delicious! Really great service and owned by an even better family!“

“The lady at the front desk now is super pretty and nice, and has a great attitude. The drinks made by the tea making lady are also delicious every time.
However, there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke every time I come here. The smell of smoke wafts in after the staff smokes, and it lingers for a long time, which is very unfriendly to pregnant women and children.“

“I was here last week for a food event/car show(?). The line and wait to get inside was not all too bad minus the stray rain showers that came down once in a while. Food was amazing but the venue itself was not well ventilated so I had to catch myself going outside after a short while.“

“Mochick Tea in Dyker Heights is a hidden gem! 🍵✨ Their mochi donuts are hands down the best and most authentic I’ve ever had — soft, chewy, perfectly made. I’ve tried mochi donuts from so many places, and now I can confidently say nothing compares to these.
Their onigiri is fresh and flavorful, the grilled chicken bento is delicious and filling, and their bubble tea is spot-on every time. The quality here is incredible across the board.
If you love Japanese treats, bentos, and bubble tea, you absolutely need to try Mochick Tea. You’ll be hooked!“

“Their salmon sashimi is fresh, their garlic butter edamame (spicy) is so good, my partner LOVED the ramen and I absolutely loved their bulgogi fried rice. We paired our meal with some Milkis (I got the original, which you could never go wrong with and my partner got strawberry which he found delightful). The staff are so kind and it was such a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend anyone in the area to check Slowloris out!“
