“Excellent place to get korean fried chicken. They fry them fresh with a super crispy, crunchy exterior and bold vibrant dressings / flavor that will punch you square in the face. I wasn't hungover, but if you are, this will knock some sense into you. The portions come mostly with small wings / drumettes and 2+ regular sized larger drumsticks.“

“Delicious Hot Pot and/or Korean BBQ!“

“We ordered spicy pork shoulder, bulgogi tofu stew, japchae. The dish is in smaller portions and lighter flavor compared to the OG Korean restaurants. If you have big stomach, I think u need to at least order a side dish other than main dish. Maybe it’s healthier since the taste is lighter? But in general still tastes good and the price is fair enough for the portion you get. We sat outside and it was pretty chill.“

“Itto is usually delicious. 9/10 times it’s consistently good and fresh. The wait staff is always very good.
The seating options feel awkward because the bench is taller than the chairs across from them. It’s not a deal breaker but would make for a nice improvement if they update furniture.“

“Came here as a party of 4, ordered 4 mains, 2 starters and 1 side to share. Everything came out quick and was devoured. 2 in our party were full, 2 (guys) could've ordered more. FYI, the turn around for each table is only 1.5 hrs which can be a little short/tight for bigger parties“

“Nut allergy friendly: Nothing we had had any concerns. I don't think anything they use has nuts.
Wow. This probably ranks into my top 3 Korean restaurants in the US. It's a quaint shop from the outside that I almost walked by despite following directions, but it's packed with flavor.
We made a reservation two weeks ahead when they opened up and were promptly seated.
Order-to-Dishes: Roughly 13-19 mins for appetizers, 23 mins for sharable entrees.
For three people, we ordered:
-Kimchi (complimentary): Excellent. Great balance, not too acidic.
-Seafood Butter-Gui (5/5): An interesting Mediterranean feeling dish with the pita, but it blends the butter with delicious seafood and the perfect accompaniments to balance out each bite.
-Seafood Pancake (5/5): They manage to get squid or shrimp or mussels into each bite of the pancake. Stellar texture. Delicious balance with the chive and basil.
-Fried Soft Shell Crab (6/5): Holy smokes. Must order. Not sure how they fry this but it is excellently crispy and still fresh tasting at the same time.
-Fried Chicken (4.5/5): I give this a good rating for excellent portions. It's fried in a similar way as the soft shell crab. I think it was a bit weaker in texture but overall, still very good.
-Duck Bulgogi (4/5): While this was the weakest dish in my opinion, the duck was still very tender and flavorful. I think it should have been served with some rice or something other than beansprouts.
-Spicy Fish Stew (4/5): Went very well with rice, very tender fish and clams but not enough to share with 3 people.
-Seafood Japchae (5/5): The heck did they do to make this Japchae so good? The octopus perfectly balanced the Japchae texture and it's a great level of spice.
The quality of seafood was overall excellent.
With two drinks it came out to roughly $75/pp.
I'd definitely come back if only for the soft shell crab, and highly recommend.“

“I visited here for dinner on a Friday night. I highly recommend to have a reservation. Shim mi was our server, and she was great! I really loved the tuna tartare and the 8282 steak, and the yuzu matcha was nice as well.
Parking: Regular NY street parking
Wheelchair accessibility: The space may be a little tight for a wheelchair but I’m sure they will make it work.“

“We went for a Friday dinner, and although it was just the two of us, we managed to try three dishes — and they were all fantastic!
* Soy Scallop with Gim Rice: The scallops were fresh and tender, with a delightful jelly-like texture, and the rice was perfectly soft and flavorful.
* Rose Tteokbokki: As a big fan of rice cakes, I loved this dish! The sauce was rich and complemented the rice cakes beautifully.
* Seoul Salon Fried Chicken: An absolute must-try! The chicken was juicy, with a crispy, thin coating that was just perfect.
We can’t wait for our next visit!“

“My friend and I made a reservation for Gurumé at 7pm on a Saturday. I would recommend making a reservation if you are dining around this time, as it was packed! However, the crowd had dissipated by 8:30pm, so if you're looking for a later evening bite, it's definitely slower. I would also recommend not dining at peak hours because it was so loud. Decor is your average, upscale vibes, but the tables are really close together to maximize the amount of people in the space.
We ordered crispy corn and cheese ($14), oyster mushroom taco ($17), berkshire kimchi fried rice ($19), scallop crudo ($19), and pork & radish "bossam" ($19). We also ordered the black sesame bread pudding for dessert ($11). Overall, the food was flavored well and tasty. You're paying entree prices for appetizer portions, but it makes sense for the location. If I came back, I would skip the kimchi fried rice and scallop crudo. The fried rice was nothing special, and I have had better experiences with simpler ingredients; the scallop crudo was overpowered by the other flavors, losing the taste of the scallop. The bossam was so moist and juicy, with fantastic natural flavoring, though the other components did enhance the flavor. I would only recommend the corn if you are a corn lover and none of the other appetizers appeal to you. The mushroom taco had a great combination of flavors and the spice kick was mild. If you're a dessert person, the bread pudding was delectable, great black sesame flavor and the bread was also moist.
Service was outstanding. We were originally seated next to a large party, and they later moved us to a table further away where it was quieter. There were many checkbacks throughout the evening, and they definitely make you feel like you are valued as a customer. I would recommend Gurumé for a fancy night out and people in your party can talk loudly.“

“Moono is an absolute gem! The galbi jjim is unforgettable—perfectly tender, fall-off-the-bone beef braised in this rich, savory sauce that’s both comforting and packed with flavor. It’s seriously one of the best versions I’ve ever had. And then there’s the Pyongyang cold noodles, which are refreshing, delicate, and incredibly well-balanced. The cold broth is light yet flavorful, and the noodles have just the right chew. If you’re craving authentic Korean flavors with a sophisticated twist, Moono should be at the top of your list. This place truly celebrates Korean cuisine, and I couldn’t recommend it enough!“

“This place is across the street from Penn Station. I was pleasantly surprised to try it for the first time on Saturday where the happy hour lasted all day! Greatly priced drinks and food. I was surprised to see my beloved Mala Hotpot for $25 that serves 2-3 people. I heard from the manager that things are constantly changing at this place since they opened on February ‘24, but I’m looking forward to interacting with the amicable staff again during my next visit. This place is a hidden gem. The manager’s put a lot of thought into it!“

“This is truly a hidden gem that needs more recognition! This was our first time trying Korean Pizza, and it did not disappoint. We ordered a half/half (Bbq Chicken and Bulgogi pizza) with the Ube Latte. The explosion of flavors and texture was the cherry on top for this aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. We absolutely loved the sweet potato that borders the soft and crunchy crust! The Ube Latte was delicious and complimented our meal so well. We highly recommend this place.“

“I've had the privilege to dine in many amazing restaurants around the globe and even privately in the kitchen of some famous chefs. I can say with absolute authority that this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Absolutely amazing from first bite to last! Make sure to opt-in for the savory beignet as well. It was superlative. I'll be envious of anyone getting to dine here until I have a chance to come back again!“

“Went on a Wednesday night at around 7 PM and was super busy! Filled with mainly younger people and the vibe was extremely nice. We got the beef tartare, chapaguri fried rice, soy-glazed bossam, and the frozen makgeolli for dessert! Only got a picture of the beef tartare and chapaguri :(, but everything was good nonetheless.
We did find the garlic bossam a bit too oily for our liking but it was good and finished all our plates. The service was great - I noticed that there were probably a lot of reservations as servers were quick to clear off empty tables and set them up for the next guests. Would highly recommend and I would go back to try some other dishes!“

“Ordered a couple of dishes. The food was good, but not sure if some dishes were worth the price. The scallops had a fishy, frozen taste.. The service was great and everyone was sweet. It does get a bit loud in there as more people show up, since the space is small.“

“Food was amazing!!! My new go to bulgogi spot in NYC! The pajeon was excellent and crispy, and the bulgogi was perfectly seasoned. The egg at the end was also delicious. Ganjang Gejang was a pass though. However, I always think the measure of a good Korean restaurant is their kimchi, and I can safely say that their kimchi is fire.“

“Found this place by coincidence, but it turns out to be one of the best handroll places I visited in NYC. The restaurant is structured as bar seatings. Every handroll was made and served one.
The rice was well seasoned, and every roll was delicious. The menu was a bit limited, but that also makes it very simple and friendly for someone who doesn't know what to order on their first visit.
The price was moderate. If you are a fan of handrolls, you should give it a try.“

“@c.asincharlie is a Korean fusion styled tapas restaurant, so their food is best shared with about 2-3 plates per person. Service was friendly and food came really fast (plates were taken away a bit too fast), and our waitress was very kind and treated us to a round of shots as birthday celebration.
While everything tasted yummy and flavorful, only the steak was a standout to me with its unique umami. The other dishes were not as memorable in my opinion.“

“Coqodaq in NYC was definitely buzzing — it’s not easy getting a reservation, we had to put our names in and wait around 2 hours for a table for two. The vibe inside is a unique blend of club and restaurant, giving it a lively, energetic atmosphere. We started with a delicious consommé that set a good tone, and I appreciated the selection of ban chan-style appetizers. But of course, the real star is the fried chicken, which Coqodaq is known for. The gochujang wings were the standout for me, packed with flavor and the perfect kick of spice. The other flavors, though, didn’t leave as much of an impression. Overall, I’d say it was a good experience, but I’m not entirely convinced it’s worth the hassle of scoring a table. The food was solid, especially the gochujang wings, but with the effort it takes to get in, I’m not sure it’s something I’d go out of my way for again.“

“Can’t recommend this one enough. Everything is outstanding. The quality of the food, the flavors, the impeccable service (yet friendly). The wine program is amazing too. One of the few restaurants that you really really should do the wine pairing, genius and constantly innovating. The non-alcoholic wine pairing is actually exceptional too. Every person I’ve recommended this place to has LOVED it.“

“Was good, great that they have multiple floors. We got seated right away. The beef was great. The prime ribeye was yum. The only negative was the Japchae. It had a butane flavor to the dish that was quite strong.
Service was nice though. Never had someone cook my bbq before, even in Seoul!“

“Truly exceptional. We have done the downstairs tasting seating prior, and it was fantastic, but this review is for the bar tasting upstairs. I had the nonalcoholic wine pairing, and I’m usually a bit disappointed at other places, but in this case I was blown away. Each of the dishes or something special and unique, with so much craft and care put into each. The amuse bouche or first course is out of this world.“

“Everything was so good! You can really taste the difference in their handmade tofu.
Be prepared to wait for a seat. I recommend going to put your name down first before doing anything else around the area. We had to wait 1 hour so it was definitely smarter for us if we did our shopping after we started queuing.“

“When I heard about @gahmnyc, I knew I must go and try. GAHM in Korean means "feeling" or "sense". Celebrity chef Esther Choi opened this restaurant in Brooklyn, featuring unique interpretations of traditional Korean dishes. Gahm by Mokbar offers a distinctive dining experience for those seeking authentic Korean cuisine. Everything was delicious. No struggle trying to think what to order because everything was tasty. The restaurant offers excellent service, with friendly and attentive staff providing great recommendations. The food is prepared with care and comes out quickly, featuring bold and comforting Korean flavors. The ambiance and service make it a fantastic spot for a night out with friends or a date. Remember to reserve ahead of time.
I got to try out:
Drink: Seoul Mule $16.00
Kalbi Mandu (Dumplings so good and tastes unique and different $13.00
Wiid Mushroom Pajeon $19.00
Sizzling Crab Fried Rice (MUST ORDER) $36.00

“Went tonight for dinner with friends and our server Susie was truly incredible and attentive alongside the other support staff to make sure we had everything we needed and a great experience.
The food itself was all excellent and we had a solid variety of the different meats as part of the Classic AYCE menu, but the marinated hangar steak was especially great.
Would definitely come back here since this seems to be the prominent AYCE spot in the area.“
