Mari is a creative and well-executed Korean handroll omakase. At its price point, it punches above its weight for a Michelin-starred experience. The handrolls are inventive, each showcasing bright, fruity, and aromatic flavor profiles. Each hand roll is filled with a bite size of delight and is very picturesque. The appetizers were amazing, with the caviar and eggs and the morel both full of umami. The desserts were a genuine highlight: the traditional Korean potato ball was charming and nostalgic, and the lemon ice cream was a refreshing close to the meal. The pallet cleanser is a must try before the dessert that is light and not too sweet. Service was polished, attentive, warm, and extremely knowledgeable. However, the seasoning is so forward that the seafood itself gets a bit lost. The only letdown is the supplement dish Tuna y Tuna which tasted fishy. Still, for the quality of the food, level of service, and overall experience, it is a very solid choice for a special dining experience.
