Fine Dining Restaurants in New York, NY

“My wife and I went here for our 12 year anniversary. “Perfect” is an understatement. I’ve been to a little more than half a dozen 3-star Michelin restaurants over the past decade, and Chef’s Table was one of the best for me. They nailed it from the moment we walked in right to the very end, when they brought out a special dessert dish with a candle to top off our anniversary occasion, and then one of the chef’s came by to congratulate us. I can say they had incredibly fresh and rare ingredients, and prepared it all impeccably - almost in an unreal, dreamlike fashion. But that’s what you expect at a 3-star Michelin place, so that shouldn’t be surprising (although I feel that I ate more flowers here). The way they combined the ingredients, the meticulous attention to detail (that we could see clearly form our table), and the clear respect the kitchen and waiting staff had for each other might have been what set this restaurant apart. The flavors came to life in my mouth. I wouldn’t stop chewing after the food was gone, just to savor the flavors for even another short moment. I know things can’t be perfect in this world, but Chef’s Table is right there. Our waiting staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and prompt, but they were also very human and able to anticipate our thoughts. They connected with us unlike previous experiences - simply because they knew that’s what we wanted. Chefs Table has left a lasting memory better than any I’ve had to date. We went there right after seeing The Great Gadspy, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. This is a meal we will remember for ever. Thank you very much for being so amazing. We will be back.“

“Though we enjoyed our meal at HAGS, our experience wasn’t quite as sensational as some of the other reviewers.

We found the food a bit underwhelming, especially at this price point. Don’t get me wrong, it was good throughout and sometimes great. The beef entree and the pumpernickel brand, for example, were fantastically done.

But many of the remaining dishes were quite vegetable-forward and some of the flavors didn’t seem to make sense together. There’s nothing wrong with a lot of vegetable dishes, but taken together it felt like the meal was a little bare and missing some substance / finesse.

The service was awesome and the decor of the place is lovely and memorable. Unfortunately, those were the parts of the meal that left the most lasting impression (vs the meal itself). Also love that they include tip with the menu prices - more restaurants ought to do that.

Maybe we aren’t the target demographic, but I think there are better spots in NYC to drop $200 pp.“

“Food is probably the best in the city with wine and service to match. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and at a few points during the evening my captain invited me to enjoy the sunset and then fireworks from their terrace right outside on the 63rd floor! Impeccable evening, 20/10 would come back.“

“Excellent dining experience. It was nice to see diners appropriately dressed….no baseball caps, sneakers or sweats. Blazers are not required but I would recommend a dress for ladies and a collared shirt with nice pants for the men.
Tuna was good but the sardine toast was better.
Sweet crab and duck tortellini were great.
The osso buco was a little salty but the meat was tender and perfectly cooked.
The black bass was excellent.
Opt for the sticky toffee pudding. One dessert is more than enough for two people.

“I had to take one star off because this is definitely not a fine dining experience even though that is what they advertise themselves as. If it were not for the food I would have given this a two star review.

The experience was not pleasant. We were seated at a makeshift table, where the window was right behind me. My seat was the bench to the window (essentially where people sit to wait to be seated). I do not know if this is an everyday thing or because they were overbooked but this was not pleasant. The table was right next to the door, so everytime the door opens the wind blasts at us (it did not help that there was a kid that was running in and out of the restaurant). Other guests were standing right next to our table hovering right over us as we were eating and because they were waiting to be seated. For a "fine dining" restaurant there was nothing "fine dining" to it.

The food however was very good. The blending of Asian influences with a modern approach was very nice. The fried chicken was incredible. The inside was still super juicy and soft while the outside was very crispy. That was our favorite dish of the night.“

“I really love parlour room. The bar is so cool. When you walk in it has a cool vibe like old New York. I like the bottle display and they have a shaker machine that super shakes the cocktails. So fun: the bartender said it’s the only one in nyc. I love the cocktails and i definitely come here when we see a show or after dinner drinks, but the food here is good too! Then we pop over to bo peep the speak easy next door“

“When you book at a Michelin 3 Star restaurant expectations are pretty high. Especially when you fly in special to New York for your wife’s milestone birthday. Could it be that good? The short answer is yes. Amazing view. I couldn’t believe our table overlooking Central Park. Wait staff. Totally matched our vibe. Attentive, funny and the right mix of leave me alone with a hint of answering questions and lightheartedness. Shoutout to Eric!!! The food. It’s all about the food, right? Upon the first bites in your mouth you wonder what you’ve been chewing your whole life. It certainly wasn’t this. I have the palette of a kindergartner and even I was blown away from the flavors, textures and sensations. To top it off a few special extras for my wife’s birthday. Worth the special trip. Couldn’t imagine having done anything else.“

“Drai’s Supper Club was a fantastic experience from the minute I walked through the door. I was greeted at the door and seated immediately. The chairs were comfortable, the restaurant is beautiful. The wall art, the lighting, the room, the live music all comes together to give a perfect setting for any dinner. Then as for the food itself, it was phenomenal. We had the black truffle risotto, the tomato and burrata tarte, the rack of lamb, the hanger steak, the chocolate chip cookies, the vanilla ice cream martini, and the espresso martinis. Everything was so good, I can’t even put it into words to describe it. You just have to try to for yourself. The service was excellent and very attentive to anything we could possibly need. Very clean establishment, great service, and better food.“

“Great Middle Eastern restaurant! All food that we ordered was delicious and tasty! From the outside it was okay but when you taste their food then you will change your mind! Location: It is located on second avenue, the interior is nice with a nice bar in the side. The outdoor seating is better, cause it is spacious and more safer and comfortable. Service: The servers are nice, they gave you good recommendations. A little bit busy as usual, but they try their best to accommodate! Also, they gave us free shots because we get along with the servers. Food: All that we ordered was delicious, small servings tho but the taste of the food was good! FALAFEL PLATTER: omg the hummus that comes with it are so good! Silky and perfect with the falafel and pita that comes with it. It is good for sharing or even by yourself! BURATTA: the cheese is soft and delicious. It comes with bacon or ham? I'm not sure but it tastes good with the burrata. CALAMARI: we were sad when it came cause we thought it was fried but man it was so good, it was grilled and it taste like a ceviche. EGGPLANT SCHNITZEL: the fried eggplant is so good and not over fried so the softness of the eggplant was retained. FROZEN PASSION FRUIT DAQUIRI: omg it was so good and refreshing, but hits you at the end! LOL Price rating: 8/10, it was not that bad for the price. The food was great. Will definitely come back here if I pass by second avenue and if I crave for good hummus and that passion fruit daiquiri! LOL“
