About Hakubai

Hakubai provides an exquisite dining experience with a well-thought-out menu that goes beyond sushi. The ambiance is described as sexy, perfect for a date night. The Uni chawanmushi is a standout dish, along with the chazuke served at the end. Visitors praise the attentive staff and excellent service, recommending it for special occasions. Located inside a hotel, the restaurant's spring menu is highly recommended for a memorable dining experience. The decor is elegant, and the restaurant offers seasonal menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and plates, creating a warm, hearty feeling reminiscent of family meals. The sushi and sashimi are of very high quality, with outstanding amberjack and sea urchin nigiri, though some find it a bit overpriced. The staff are accommodating, allowing guests to split tables and enjoy different menus, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant also offers excellent Japanese beers, and at the end of the meal, guests receive a beautiful chopsticks as a keepsake, making the experience even more special.

A truly authentic experience with excellent ingredients and skillful Chefs. I felt as if I was transported to the finest Kaiseki restaurant in Japan. The service was thoughtful and attentive. Can’t wait to return!
