“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“This is such a cute place and the food was delicious! I came here for dinner with a friend and I got the Crispy and Spicy Sesame Chicken Donburi which was divine. The decor inside is super cute and cozy plus the service is excellent — they were so welcoming and efficient. Didn’t try the ramen this time but my friend did and it looked amazing. I will absolutely be coming back so maybe next time! Anyways, definitely recommend if you’re in the area“

“Amazing meal. The restaurant is just staffed by the host and the chef, but the service is impressively attentive. The host noticed I was left-handed and switched my place setting to accommodate that. The meal started with a puree of Japanese sweet potato with toppings like small rice crackers and ikura. Very refreshing and delicious! We then got 4 small dishes- grilled fish with peas and fish cake, fluke, soba with fresh shiitake, and water eggplant.
Then we had 8 courses of tempura- anago, peppers, shrimp, scallop, eggplant, crab, sweet potato, and seaweed with uni on it. This was followed by rice with wagyu beef and a dessert of strawberry and adzuki. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was what really made the evening special- each dish was carefully explained, including what seasoning we should use to accompany the dish and everything was conveyed with warmth and a touch of humor. This place is a gem. Thank you for such an amazing meal!“

“Best omakase I’ve ever had in my life and we’ve had omakase all over across the country!

We only did the 12 course and regretted not doing the 17. We came for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday and it was empty! Not many places open for lunch so I appreciated that they have lunch service. They also gave us some mochi for dessert to celebrate our honeymoon.

I’ll always recommend this spot and plan to visit every time I’m in New York.“

“Mikado Sushi has become one of my go-to lunch sushi spots. The sushi is always fresh and consistently good, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

I especially appreciated their service on one occasion when I accidentally placed my order at a different Mikado location. The staff went out of their way to communicate with the other location and helped remake my order for me. They handled the situation so smoothly and were very accommodating throughout.

The place is convivial, quiet and enjoyable. The chef is talented, friendly and knowledgeable about all types of fish and recipes. It is always a treat to savor some of his preparations.

“I've been to many Izakaya places over the years, and was super satisfied with its quality of food and services. When it's time for some drinks and skewers for a large group, I was there with seven of my friends, that place was perfect. “I’ve been here twice for dinner and am pleasantly surprised each time! It’s an amazing value. For under $100, you get something like 10-12 nigiri courses and a few hot courses, plus a little sweet treat at the end. It was all good stuff too, incl some really yummy and fresh fish, items topped with caviar, foie gras (though this probably varies). Random fun thing: they let you choose your own sake cup!

Mostly counter seating but I saw a few 4-tops in case you have a group and want to socialize more.

“Fast-paced Omakase counter at lunch time, featuring lots of traditional edomae nigiri pieces made with good quality fish. While the shari had the perfect texture and temperature, it did come across as a touch too vinegary for some of the pieces. Some pieces also had maybe a bit too much of a wasabi and soy sauce zing, but overall the experience was very pleasant. Also loved the chawanmushi! Will be back!“

“Our daughter took us here while we were visiting NY for her graduation for Wagyu Shabu. I normally don't like places with many prices, but since our daughter chose it so we enjoy with her. The prices on the windows are very confusing and more like false advertising for me, the lower prices are for the members which we're not since this is our first time and definitely our last, unless our daughter wants to come here again. So the price is the more expensive one.
For me, I prefer straight forward pricing, so this didn't give me good vibes, it's not the money, just the way they advertising and we have to know what we can only have with the price we chose. The restaurant just gives us the specific menu for what we selected to have then we don't have to be denied for what we chose because we selected gold instead of top of the line menu.
The place is clean and nice.
For $78/per person and only have Australian Wagyu Beef (not really Wagyu) then it's over priced.
We did have some premium beef which I liked because of the marble of fat on the beef quite tender and tasty, but only a sampler or whatever they called it.
Service with one person is quite inadequate but she's very attentive and pleasant, since she had to run the whole restaurant, sometimes forgets things.
The tomato broth was good and everyone liked it.
The seafood plate is OK and our sweet shrimps are sweet. Some snow crab legs, jumbo shrimps, fish fillets, nothing to make me go wow.
The appetizers tempura is crispy and good. The raw octopus is tasty.
The vegetables are fresh and clean.
After they denied me the premium beef sampler, I let my daughter to order everything else and I just enjoyed with the family. My daughter seemed to be happy and ate a lot, so I was happy.
I've eaten enough shabu, hot pot to know that Australian or American Wagyu are overrated, many of them are tough and chewy, not as tender as normal ribeyes or Brisket that I like.
This restaurant Wagyu beef does have marbles of fat in it, so it's tender and not so chewy.
So, for the GOLD menu, I don't think it's worth the $78 but for special occasions, it's OK. I just don't like the confusion of many menu, many prices, and not getting my own menu and get denied for something on the menu because I didn't pay enough.“

“My husband has been wanting to go to an Omakase for a while now, so we came in for his birthday. Our chef Frankie was EXCEPTIONAL. So kind, made lovely conversation with us while also making absolutely incredible dishes. All 15 were absolutely wonder. “Omakase 95 is absolutely incredible! I can’t believe we waited this long to try it.

We both did the 15-course menu, which was 100% the right choice. I’d also highly recommend sitting at the counter. Watching everything being prepared right in front of you is part of the experience and really gives you a bird's eye view of the magic and art that goes into each course.

There wasn’t a weak dish in the entire meal. Tbh, when I saw that the menu started with two appetizer courses, I wondered if they might feel a little like filler before the main events. Not even close. They ended up being some of my favorite dishes of the night.

Marc and Max are cooking at a level that earns every star — fifteen courses and the execution never slipped once. The Hokkaido uni with king crab and geoduck was my favorite bite of the night. And the dessert was to die for — not one but two, the tropical refresher and then the Fujisan bread with soy caramel and Japanese whiskey. Leave some room. This is what a Michelin restaurant is supposed to feel like.“
