Torien, an acclaimed yakitori bar, offers an exceptional dining experience that celebrates the art of traditional Japanese cuisine. The menu boasts a 13-course omakase featuring an array of expertly grilled chicken parts, including organs, as well as carefully selected vegetables. Utilizing binchotan charcoal from Kishu, Japan, Torien infuses its ingredients with a distinctive, coveted fragrance. The chicken, including the heart, is meticulously cooked over low heat to achieve optimal doneness, showcasing the variety of chicken parts, such as skin, thigh, knee, shoulder, and wings. The wonton soup has a unique and silky texture, while the menu finishes with a comforting bowl of ramen and a smooth caramel purin. Staff are attentive and welcoming, providing a fantastic experience. Torien is considered the best yakitori in New York City, even surpassing some establishments in Japan.
