“The food quality and set menus they have are really solid for sushi and quite delicious. I feel like it gets a little pricy and that’s why I reviewed them at a 4 VS 5 stars as I know I can get equally as good of a handroll in the city for a substantial amount less, but overall this is a good staple in Jersey City. The udon and miso cod are also pretty tasty.“

The seating options feel awkward because the bench is taller than the chairs across from them. It’s not a deal breaker but would make for a nice improvement if they update furniture.“

Their menu is small which means easier to keep foods fresh, their kitchen is open for all to see which means they got nothing to hide n u can b assured u r getting the freshest ingredients( which u can tell bu tasting it). “This is the only sushi by bao I have ever been to and it has spoiled it for others for sure. I love the atmosphere, the service and the music. The food is amazing and such an experience. Asia (bartender) and the amazing hostess last night were the best! Plus I had bought a GC that expired that day and they called me to let me know it was expiring so I wouldn’t lose the money!

“This place is, ironically, one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve tried in New York! The prices are reasonable, and the taste was truly satisfying! I had tamago, squid, spicy salmon roll, and hand rolls, and overall, the food was fresh. If you want clean, delicious sushi at a good value, I highly recommend it!

I think I’ll be visiting quite often :) I also highly recommend the taiyaki and ice cream for dessert!"“
