We only did the 12 course and regretted not doing the 17. We came for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday and it was empty! Not many places open for lunch so I appreciated that they have lunch service. They also gave us some mochi for dessert to celebrate our honeymoon.

I’ll always recommend this spot and plan to visit every time I’m in New York.“

“Mikado Sushi has become one of my go-to lunch sushi spots. The sushi is always fresh and consistently good, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

I especially appreciated their service on one occasion when I accidentally placed my order at a different Mikado location. The staff went out of their way to communicate with the other location and helped remake my order for me. They handled the situation so smoothly and were very accommodating throughout.

“Ordered via GrubHub for a late Friday night dinner when the sushi craving hit. I ordered a tuna bowl, and hubby had a salmon bowl. All of the sushi bar bowls come with edamame, miso soup, seaweed salad, kani salad, regular salad (in this case, it was arugula), and avocado. The fish came in huge chunks, lightly marinaded, and tasted fresh. No complaints. I’d order again and try some actual rolls next time. I saw on their menu a pretty good deal for lunch - $12.50 for three regular rolls, so I’ll have to check that out.“

“I rarely write reviews for Uber Eats orders, but I wanted onigiri and this spot was nearby with delivery, so I placed an order. I chose Steve’s onigiri and the soft shell crab onigiri. Steve’s onigiri was outstanding; it was flavorful and the hot sauce provided a strong spicy kick. I expect to keep thinking about it until I can have it again. The soft shell crab was equally enjoyable. I will certainly return to order Steve’s onigiri and will stop by whenever I am in the area.“

“Hands down the best restaurant of our entire trip to NYC. The omakase was absolutely perfect, the fish was incredible, and somehow every course was even better than the one before.

By the end I was so full I honestly didn’t think I could eat another bite, but everything was so good that I kept going anyway. It was just too good to leave anything behind!

Our server, Valeria, was very attentive, answered all our questions, and even gave us recommendations based on what we were in the mood for. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share: sushi, ramen, boba, shrimp tempura, wings, and yakitori. Everything was delicious, and the portions were good. “An interesting Asian/Japanese fusion restaurant. The food was creative and tasted pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the dungeness crab, lots of yellow crab oil/fat and some crab meat over rice. The silken tofu was also interesting, a bit salty though. The grilled sea bream and half sasso chicken were delicious. Hopefully there will be more dishes added to the menu in the future, as the current menu items seemed a bit limited. Service was good and the atomsohere was also elegant, clean and chic.“

“Definitely one of the most overwhelming and beautiful places that I’ve ever been to try sushi in my whole life, there’s no way to describe how good it was.
We wait a little more of what we expected.
But wait was worth it food was fresh, homemade and delicious, attention it’s def a 1000/10 you feel that you’re in your home, my 5yo daughter mentioned that she was being treated like her grandma treat her (so you can have an idea of how good they were) well, not many words to add.

“Since they opened, they have been consistently excellent. I truly hope they're around for many years to come. I've eaten here at least 20–30 times, and the sushi is always fresh. The rolls are well made, with just the right balance of ingredients, not overloaded with rice like you find at some other sushi restaurants.

I've tried the spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, avocado roll, and the ramen, and they have yet to disappoint. I'm wishing them continued success because they've earned it.

I gave them three stars for the atmosphere only because of the bright, white lighting. It reminds me of the lights in a dentist's office. While the restaurant is clean and inviting, I personally prefer warmer lighting to create a cozier dining experience.

One more thing really stood out to me. One evening I called to place an order, but no one answered. I called a second time and assumed they must be closed. About two minutes later, they called me back! 😀 Thanks to that, I got to enjoy sushi that night.

“Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and was so impressed by the food! Tried a variety of chicken, pork belly and steak skewers and everything was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Chicken oyster and pork belly were definitely the highlights. The owner was also so friendly and even gave us some samples to try for free. Took us back to the yakitori we had in Japan. Will definitely be back!“

“This is our local go-to for sushi and hibachi. The food is excellent, staff is friendly and efficient. We mostly order to go, but the restaurant itself is small but cozy with tables and a sushi bar. “We've been meaning to to try so many of the new restaurants in the area. We finally got here for a late lunch today. Not surprisingly on a Thursday at 2PM and snowing, we had the place to ourselves. It was fortunate because the woman who took care of us explained everything to us in detail. I wasn't familiar with the Kurobuta pork. Apparently it's known as the, "Kobe beef of pork." All their pork come from Berkshire pigs. They come from a farm in Jersey. I'm guessing North Jersey. (Lot's of cool info if you Google them) Cooking is done using White charcoal which is used in traditional Japanese cooking. We started with the crispy cauliflower. It had crispy shallots & tahini vinegarette on them. They were delicious! Then the Shanghai bao. Filling was pork. (naturally) So delicious and juicy! When you slice them in half watch for the juice to squirt! We ordered six skewers. Two with pork jowel (cheek) Two regular pork and two fish. Again, delicious. i also had a bowl of spicy miso ramen. Our server explained how the broth is simmered for eight hours with pig bones and marrow. I could tell as the broth was very rich! That was it for us. We were both very full and i even took half of my ramen. We can't wait to return and bring friends! Highly recommend! ✌️“
