“Service and food were very good. The flavors (12 piece for $100) were often unique, but I wish they would vary the courses a bit instead of all individual sushi. There was no starter or dessert. We were alone in the restaurant for early dinner on Friday and ordered an $87 bottle of sake. I expected a little special treatment or something that said thank you. We spent $340for 2 and there is nothing bad, but also nothing cool or special.“

“Mikado Sushi has become one of my go-to lunch sushi spots. The sushi is always fresh and consistently good, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

I especially appreciated their service on one occasion when I accidentally placed my order at a different Mikado location. The staff went out of their way to communicate with the other location and helped remake my order for me. They handled the situation so smoothly and were very accommodating throughout.

“Ordered via GrubHub for a late Friday night dinner when the sushi craving hit. I ordered a tuna bowl, and hubby had a salmon bowl. All of the sushi bar bowls come with edamame, miso soup, seaweed salad, kani salad, regular salad (in this case, it was arugula), and avocado. The fish came in huge chunks, lightly marinaded, and tasted fresh. No complaints. I’d order again and try some actual rolls next time. I saw on their menu a pretty good deal for lunch - $12.50 for three regular rolls, so I’ll have to check that out.“

The younger server is very polite and friendly. However the other is incredibly rude, on the phone, and in person. I ordered from this place very often in the past but I will no longer be ordering from here. His attitude makes it not worth it for me. Overall if you’re just looking for good sushi this place is fine, but don’t expect good service.“

“An interesting Asian/Japanese fusion restaurant. The food was creative and tasted pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the dungeness crab, lots of yellow crab oil/fat and some crab meat over rice. The silken tofu was also interesting, a bit salty though. The grilled sea bream and half sasso chicken were delicious. Hopefully there will be more dishes added to the menu in the future, as the current menu items seemed a bit limited. Service was good and the atomsohere was also elegant, clean and chic.“

“Since they opened, they have been consistently excellent. I truly hope they're around for many years to come. I've eaten here at least 20–30 times, and the sushi is always fresh. The rolls are well made, with just the right balance of ingredients, not overloaded with rice like you find at some other sushi restaurants.

I've tried the spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, avocado roll, and the ramen, and they have yet to disappoint. I'm wishing them continued success because they've earned it.

I gave them three stars for the atmosphere only because of the bright, white lighting. It reminds me of the lights in a dentist's office. While the restaurant is clean and inviting, I personally prefer warmer lighting to create a cozier dining experience.

One more thing really stood out to me. One evening I called to place an order, but no one answered. I called a second time and assumed they must be closed. About two minutes later, they called me back! 😀 Thanks to that, I got to enjoy sushi that night.

“We've been meaning to to try so many of the new restaurants in the area. We finally got here for a late lunch today. Not surprisingly on a Thursday at 2PM and snowing, we had the place to ourselves. It was fortunate because the woman who took care of us explained everything to us in detail. I wasn't familiar with the Kurobuta pork. Apparently it's known as the, "Kobe beef of pork." All their pork come from Berkshire pigs. They come from a farm in Jersey. I'm guessing North Jersey. (Lot's of cool info if you Google them) Cooking is done using White charcoal which is used in traditional Japanese cooking. We started with the crispy cauliflower. It had crispy shallots & tahini vinegarette on them. They were delicious! Then the Shanghai bao. Filling was pork. (naturally) So delicious and juicy! When you slice them in half watch for the juice to squirt! We ordered six skewers. Two with pork jowel (cheek) Two regular pork and two fish. Again, delicious. i also had a bowl of spicy miso ramen. Our server explained how the broth is simmered for eight hours with pig bones and marrow. I could tell as the broth was very rich! That was it for us. We were both very full and i even took half of my ramen. We can't wait to return and bring friends! Highly recommend! ✌️“

Chicken oyster and pork belly were definitely the highlights. The owner was also so friendly and even gave us some samples to try for free. Took us back to the yakitori we had in Japan. “This is our local go-to for sushi and hibachi. The food is excellent, staff is friendly and efficient. We mostly order to go, but the restaurant itself is small but cozy with tables and a sushi bar. “I spent the day exploring the downtown area of Manhattan.For lunch, o found Takahachi Bakery. They have a nice selection of bakery items and lunch sandwiches and salads.
Very busy restaurant. Service counter on the right side all the way back to partially open kitchen. Be quick to grab a table.

“food was amazing. served at relatively quick speed. apps usually come in pairs, so if you're a party of three, don't expect three pieces (just two). sushi/specialty rolls came in 5-8 as it's listed in the menu. soy rolls they add a dollar though per roll (or sushi, i forgot), be careful. they do have a waste policy on their sign, i forgot what it was. i had some soup spilled on me as they attempted to serve it, and they didn't always notice our papers were done already, but not end of the world stuff. the food taste made up for it! it's about mid $30s on a saturday buffet in the late afternoon/early evening. bill is paid by those electronic machines they bring to your face at your table. bathroom is upstairs. water is served in paper cups. i saw another group and ourself seemed to have to manually ask for water refills otherwise. ice cream options at the day were just green tea and strawberry (which wasn't even listed in the menu) but i loved the strawberry. i would come back here.“

Our server was cool but the manager (assuming that’s her title) Devin was AMAZING. She provided us with great service and checked in numerous times to make sure that we were okay and that we liked what we ordered. She even offered to comp items off our bill that took extremely long to come out. She was so sweet and accommodating without even being asked. GET THE BURGER ! Our server recommended it and he did not lie. It’s amazing !!!!!! The Japanese whiskey drink was very strong. If you like sweet and strong mixed together this is for you (I didn’t like it). The matcha ice cream w/ cake dessert was another hit. If you’re a matcha girly like I am, give it a go. The kids enjoyed the sushi as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation and were seated immediately. We also weren’t rushed to leave after being there for like 2 hours lol. Great spot.“
