Miru Reviews
We were lucky to be the only ones here for a while. Food was incredibly. Service too. Place has great views. It is pretty pricey, beware
This restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. Lovely views. Nice ambience. Huge space. Comfortable seating arrangements. Our server was cool but the manager (assuming that’s her title) Devin was AMAZING. She provided us with great service and checked in numerous times to make sure that we were okay and that we liked what we ordered. She even offered to comp items off our bill that took extremely long to come out. She was so sweet and accommodating without even being asked....read full review
Excellent presentation and flavor. The portions are small, but the flavor experience more than makes up for it. The staff is very attentive; the space is spacious, modern, and very clean. Good music and a view of a little island—excellent.

Miru is a Japanese rooftop restaurant and listening lounge located at Pier 57 in Chelsea, NYC. The space is spacious, modern, and very clean with a dim, intimate lighting. The views are spectacular, offering a clean overlook of both the Manhattan and Jersey City skylines. The food leans Japanese fusion with excellent presentation and flavor. Specific meals include the Shiro Blossom, a perfect and satisfying drink; the Crispy Rice, presented as flavorful cubes with Spicy Tuna and Hamachi sauces; and the Unagi Don, featuring grilled eel over rice with a jidori egg. The sushi is excellent quality, though the rice was once overcooked and mushy. The crispy rice was perfect, but the himachi was kind of boring. The sweet potato tempura had no sweet potato taste, and the pork belly portion was very tiny and served lukewarm. The portions are small, but the flavor experience more than makes up for it. The service is attentive and kind, though one visit had issues with the staff being slow or MIA. The view and atmosphere are incredible, especially at sunset. It is expensive but worth it, and one of the best spots for a date night.
