“Man, this place has some great sushi & good Chinese food. Been ordering from here for years and they never disappoint. I ordered the sushi deluxe and boy the quality of the fish is top tier & for the price is totally worth it!! They were very quick and friendly to. Definitely try them out when in the area you won't be disappointed.“
“The first time I ordered from here I picked it up and I wasn't expecting the place to look like a warehouse, but this place has the best, freshest sushi in the area that I've found. Not too much rice, the rice is still a bit warm- I HATE cold rice sushi. The fish is always fresh.“
“This spot opened up a month ago, and I finally came here for lunch. Service was quick. I got the bento box for $22, which consists of a choice between soup or salad, chicken teriyaki, and a choice of hand roll or Maki. I got the shrimp tempura Maki style. Portions were perfect for lunch. The ambiance of this place is Instagram worthy. I'd definitely return for happy hour.“
“March 2024:We went here a 2nd time for dinner. This time on the weekend. The restaurant was full. It was hectic. Unfortunately also with the service. This time the stress was clearly noticeable. The dishes were no longer always explained beautifully. That's a real shame, especially when it comes to the chef's work. You would have to take this time because it is not exactly standard sushi. The creations require explanation to be fully enjoyed. You didn't notice anything about the quality of the food. These were still at the highest level. My recommendation: one to two more people in service or otherwise accept fewer reservations. The noise level was also unpleasantly high because of all the people. That's why now only 4 instead of 5 stars.September 2023We were here for dinner. I recommend a reservation. We had the sushi and handroll menu. The quality of the sushi I selected was the best I have ever had, and I have been to many Japanese restaurants, including Masa in NYC. The quality was excellent and even with the small toppings, which fit perfectly, it was a really great experience. It was so good that we ordered some more sushi instead of dessert. The service was attentive. There is also a good selection of sake and Japanese beers here.“
“A couple of friends, who live in the vicinity, introduced us to Sushi 456, and it didn't take long for us to understand their enthusiasm for this place. The restaurant excels in numerous aspects. From the moment we walked in, the staff was not only welcoming but also promptly presented us with an appetizer, allowing us to ponder our choices. However, we were set on trying the Omakase. The pacing of the meal was impeccable, with just the right intervals between dishes for engaging conversations, yet we never felt pressured to hurry. The service was efficiently timed throughout our dining experience. Every piece of fish served was outstanding, reminiscent of the prestigious, old-school sushi bars on the west coast that have gained acclaim in NYC. However, what sets Sushi 456 apart is its affordability, which is surprisingly reasonable and inspired us to leave a generous tip. I was particularly impressed by the Toro and the hand rolls. It's been merely five days since our visit, and we're already planning our next trip there. I highly recommend giving it a try; you're sure to be delighted.“
“Chef was amazing and but the experience was tainted by them having us wait to be seated essentially outside (not sure why others at same counter were seated before us or why there is no designated space - and we were right on time not super early?) and by them pushing us at tad excessively at end and more importantly asking another patron to relinquish the pen they used to sign the bill. Seriously? A 500$ baseline price for food alone and you can’t let the guy just take the pen?“
“Went here for my friend’s birthday and everything was perfect! The crispy rice was the Best!! And the sea scallop was so delicious. Also the 2oz wagyu beef was yummy. And to finish a perfect meal we ended with a green tea crème brûlée which was really good. The staff was very attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Great service, food and atmosphere. Everything that we ordered tasted wonderful.“
“The staff is super friendly, and the food is amazing! Since I moved to the area I cannot stop ordering from this place (and I have tried allllll the local poke spots when I am saying this)! They are quite literally the best poke around! And their bubble tea is great too! Highly “
“First time at Sushi Story - and it is amazing! I went in for lunch and asked the server for recommendations. After my ginger salad, she brought me Tuna Tataki, which was perfectly prepared and had a touch of smokiness. I couldn’t decide between Seared Salmon Sushi or the River Roll, so I ordered both. It was the best decision ever! The salmon was freshly prepared and melted in my mouth. The Spicy Tuna was delicious and had just a touch of kick, which complimented the richness of the fish. All dishes were fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, helpful, and courteous, by both the server and the chef, who checked on my satisfaction with the meal. The restaurant is small, with seven tables, and has a bustling take-out service. This is one place not to miss!Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to all agesWheelchair accessibility: Small facility, but easy access for people with limited mobility.“
“Sushi by bou is easily my favorite dining experience in NY and NJ. The food quality is stellar, the staff is always so friendly and helpful, the music is great, and the restaurant itself is aesthetically calm and vibey. Great spot for a group of friends, date night, or even a solo treat yourself night. ?“
“I always say to people that I bring here that they serve flavor bombs that explode in your mouth. This place is a true experience. Atmosphere and service are always top notch and the food never disappoints. They serve non-vegan and vegan items so it is a great place to go with a mixed dietary restriction group. They can even take care of Gluten Free people as well. Would give this place 6 stars if I could.Vegetarian options: They offer vegan options on their menuDietary restrictions: Gluten Free options“
“Food is delicious, greeting from the host station was non existent, server, Brian, was attentive and delivered hot food quickly. The pork chashu in the Tonkatsu ramen was not good (tough, off-putting flavor) despite having some of the best broth I've had.Vegetable gyoza were fantastic!Recommended.“
“The staff were extremely accommodating and super sweet. And omg the food was to die for. So fresh and portions were amazing and the hand rolls and crispy sushi were also really good. Please try it out if you’re looking for an amazing experience! The best sushi in town!“
“Legit sushi joint. The only thing I would change is to live closer so I can go more often. Food was delicious, fast and packaged well.Super friendly. Will immediately be added to our take out rotation. Hope they stay around for years to come.“
“"I had an incredible dining experience at Michik restaurant in NYC! The food was absolutely amazing - I had the steak, and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were bold and delicious, and I couldn't get enough of it. The service was also top-notch - our waiter was attentive, accommodating, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect - it had a great atmosphere, and the decor was beautiful. Overall, I would highly recommend Michik to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in NYC. I can't wait to go back!"“
“If you're a sushi/special roll lover, you must give this place a try. The food decoration is so beautiful that just looking at it is a pleasure, and it melts in your mouth before you even take a bite. You can feel how sincerely the chef made it. I highly recommend it for any occasion, from small group gatherings to large parties!“
“Amazing poke bowl!! So so good! I’ve been going here for a little over a year. They have a lot of options, they’re super quick and clean!! The poke bowls taste fresh and delicious, I order brown rice with the salmon and they give good portions for a good price!Dietary restrictions: They offer variations of every product and it is build your own.“
“A cute mom-and-pop roll house located in the main downtown area of Ridgefield Park. It is a true hidden gem for takeout and delivery! The owners here are very friendly and welcoming, offering heartfelt hospitality with every visit. With various roll options to choose from (my favorite/recommendation is Chloe roll, Volcano roll, Fire Fight roll, Dragon roll), they offer convenient service, and amazingly tasty beverages such as bubble tea & iced tea to enjoy with the food. Highly recommended for anyone looking to grab a quick bite or enjoy a fancy dinner :)“
“Outside of Tokyo and NYC, this is the best Omakase we have found in NJ. Flavors were amazing ( although not super authentic or traditional) everything was unbelievably high quality and super fresh. The blends of flavors were outstanding. A bit pricey ($150 for 18 pcs) but will definitely be adding it to our must go to places in “
“My partner and I go here as a regular. The shrimp spring rolls with the sauce is great. The inside service is always good. There music and conversation but usually not overly loud. The take out has been late on occasions which means more than an hour in this case. Other wise love it.“
“An incredible omakase experience. Perfection every step of the way. 25 courses so have an appetite! The chefs counter is extremely chill and not fussy at all. We went for our 5th anniversary- I highly recommend for incredible omakase and an intimate experience like no other.“
“We truly enjoyed every bite and the delicious custom cocktails they make. The chefs are amazing and personable, they make the experience just top tier. Thank you for offering such an amazing experience Steven had a wonderful birthday because of sushi by bou and their team!“
“It's been years since I've been to this place and I must say that the quality of the sushi, the extra large rolls, and most importantly, the taste makes this place stand out among the other sushi places in the area. Owners are friendly and personable and the fish is always fresh. If you haven't been to this place in a while, I absolutely recommend giving it another try.“
“My husband and I come to Kim’s Sushi almost once a week and sometimes we found ourselves coming 2 times a week! We, especially I, LOVE Kim’s Sushi. I’ve never taken my business anywhere else and I find it very hard to try other sushi places since Kim’s Sushi makes exactly how I love my sushi! My favorite I use to get all the time was 2 orders of smoked salmon and recently I’ve been branching out and have been loving the volcano rolls. The employees are lovely; they notice every time we come in that we are reoccurring guests, and treat everyone so lovely. The employees are lovely as well as Mr. Kim himself.Last weekend for Palm Sunday, since we could only eat fish, my husband and I came to Kim’s Sushi— taking advantage of the Fish Only day. Previously, we had been to the gym in which I had my hair tied up but I started developing a horrible headache once we got to Kim’s Sushi. A Headache shortly turned into a migraine and that caused me having to get up and leave immediately— feeling nauseous, wanting to faint, wanting to throw up even— while my husband was trying to check up on me yet trying to pay for our bill, it was hectic! Mr.Kim was there this evening and couldn’t help but notice my hurrying out the door without my husband as frequent customers; because my husband was trying to pay the bill as quickly as he could. Mr. Kim was asking what happened, realized what had happened and was quickly packing our things and said, “go go go!” Without a payment of our dinner once understanding what was going on.Overall, the customer service here is phenomenal and I will continue to keep coming to Mr. Kim’s restaurants as long as they are around!“
“What can I say. So good. Service / atmosphere /food. We ordered the Chef’s Roll, Salmon Skin, the Caterpillar and Pink Lady. They were all good but my favorite was the Chef’s Roll. The only critic I can add is that seating could be more comfortable. But otherwise just great food.“
“I’ve been coming here since moving to area 3 years ago & always loved their food.Last night after taking a large takeaway order, the bottom of bag gave way & all the food fell out. Within 10 minutes I received a new order. Please go & support this small business. They were so sweet during the whole situation I’m making sure I’m going back again for another delicious meal.“
“Very appreciative of having the owner serve us and at the same time make the roll for us. Top notch service and outstanding rolls! The ambiance of the place is so calm and soothing! Love the piano medleys that were playing. Owner was very observant of his customers and took notice of us I guess and brought us a surprise with the rolls we ordered and he made. Such a kind gesture! It was also me and my SOs anniversary the day before so it was just fitting! Great sushi spot - hidden gem! Great portions with the right prices! It’s our second visit and glad we came back. Definitely check the place out and we’ll definitely be back again!Parking: Park by the train station“
“Went here to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and thought it was great. The omakase had a strong lineup of appetizers and followed with some of the best nigiri I've ever had, and I've been to multiple Michelin rated sushi spots. Here are some of my cliff notes...1.) The food is amazing2.) The environment itself is a little loud and loose. I'm cool with that, but its not a traditional style.3.) The omakase, which I believe is their only option, is $300/pp. This is on the expensive side, plus a bottle sake starts at $200 - $250. Be prepared to spend money.4.) The service was very good. The sommelier and staff were very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations. Chefs were on point.“
“What an incredible omakase EXPERIENCE. So much so I forgot to take any pictures! It's funny my wife and I used to live by Honshu and still stop by from time to time, but years ago we did Honshu's Omakase and had such a nice time I wrote a review. Well, their spin off, Nigiri is meant for omakase and they hit it out of park. They've made what used to be their front porch quite elevated, cool seating areas away from the chefs table and then a nice chefs table. We did the 15 course menu and our chef explained everything so thoughtfully, starting light and progressing through the meal. The first course was a 3 piece one, I won't ruin it, but a raw oyster, egg, and croissant of sorts with some special sushi surprises overlayed perfectly on all. Was TREMENDOUS. I won't go into every fish but you get such a widespread sampling with multiple ingredients perfectly combined to elevate the taste. Nothing is needed. Just pick up the fish and enjoy. I'm a big sea urchin guy, by time we had that piece it almost was lost in the crowd for me as everything was just so much better than what I'm used to. I'm salivating as I write this review. I've done maybe a dozen or so omakase meals over the years, Honshu and Nigiri are both at top of my list, but this one takes the crown, honestly best I've had. Bravo.“
“Very nice sushi place. The taste is great, the quality and the atmosphere of the place is spot on. I tried it once on a whim and now it's my go-to sushi spot. If you love sushi, love trying some new menu items, and want a new go-to spot: I highly recommend this sushi restaurant.“
“Perfect spot for brunch! The atmosphere is upscale, open and great for groups. I got the Oil on Skin drink. Was really light and refreshing. I also got the truffles mushroom omelet. The salad that came on the side with this was perfectly seasoned and so simple but so good. Loved the omelet as well. The tirimisu was one of the best I've had. The server was very friendly and attentive. Great place to go with friends for brunch with an amazing view of the skyline.“
“I started eating sushi right about the time I started dating. This puts me at around 20 years old. Fairly late to the game, but hey, acne sucks. Took me awhile to figure out washing excessively is just as bad as being a greasy kid. So yea, I was about 20 years old & still trying to get past a goalie, if you know what I mean. The first time I had sushi was at a restaurant in Newport. I only went there because my brother recommended it & he explained I needed to order specific sushi rolls. He knew I was a beginner so he told me to get a California Roll, Spicy Tuna as well as a few others. My memory is that of a goldfish, so to this day I still only remember Cali/Tuna rolls. Nonetheless, the sushi during that date was a hit, even if I wasn't.I kept at it, like a relentless paramour. Date after date I devoured sushi. What I started noticing was that ordering was better left to the date, as I almost always ordered something weird. Cali/Tuna were always there for me to make me appear somewhat knowledgeable, but anything other than that was beyond my mental capacity.Eventually I found a girl who knew how to order. Literally every single time I went out for sushi with her it was a mouth watering delight. So of course, I had to marry this broad. You don't let these get away. So I got her a diamond, they said it was conflict free, & to this day we make it a point to get sushi at least once a week. After finding the girl, there are certain prerogatives you must take in life. If my first was my fiancé, then the 2nd one was a sushi restaurant. Everyone has one, so this quest to discover mine took precedence over all else. Having found my lady, it was up to her to guide me through the myriad restaurants that the tri-state area had to offer. I of course would never be able to do so. So she fulfilled her role.Itto Sushi is just a few blocks away from our apartment. I'm actually functionally illiterate when it comes to maps. Even GPS will not save me from starving to death if it ever came down to it. So my fiancé lets me track her on her phone. No, it's not a trust thing, it's literally a safety thing. I get lost going to the bathroom. I only mention this because of how convenient it was when she said just come to where I am. And that's how I ended up in Itto Sushi. The restaurant itself is not overwhelmingly large. It's a nice comfortable size, where even I won't get lost going to the restroom. The sushi bar is towards the back & you can see all the fresh ingredients laid out ready to be served. There are always multiple chefs working, which I've learned are called Itamaes & Shokunins. These guys are truly worthy of their titles.I don't even bother looking at the menu. My fiancé does her job. She rips through 4 rolls & at least 2 Sashimis. Since I've become a regular at Itto, I've learned how to properly beg for a 5th. To this day I still have not been able to convince her to get 6 rolls. Truth is, my belly can only really handle 5, but I may be somewhat of an addict at this point.Itto Sushi' sushi is literally the freshest I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Their sashimi is also at that level. Both my fiance & I marvel at the relentless & assorted Unami that Itto offers. It's gotten to the point that we literally judge any other sushi place we go to with how well they match up against Itto. No one comes close. So I have my future bride, who in turn got me my sushi spot. I got it made. I'm scoring goals left & right here. Now all that remains is my mission to get that 6th roll. I mean, how do you say no to a cool little boat filled to the brim with sushi? You can't. You simply can't at Itto. The battle to discover my sushi spot has been won, but the war for that 6th roll rages on.“
“Staff is super friendly and attentive. First time, and they treated us like we've been coming here for years. Rolls are delicious! Above par. Ramen hit the spot on a cold day but certainly not the best in the area. Ani Ramen still retains that title. However, if you're looking for great service, a solid asian fusion selection, and tasty rolls, it's hard to go wrong here. ? They even have some Korean dishes like bulgogi and bibimbap. Overall, happy customer. ?“
“Got my bowl built by employee named Ewa. It was my first time here and I had no idea what was good there but Ewa was really nice and informative when she was building my bowl. Overall the bowl was really good and I would go back here again to have another bowl“
“We ordered the mizu, kiss of summer, Naruto, jade, and Verona and they were all so fresh and delicious. Lots of fish and lots of flavor. I do think the mango could be more ripe though. Tap water also wasn't my favorite but don't let that prevent you from getting this great sushi. Although we couldn't have any of the sauces that came with the rolls since they had gluten, they did have GF soy sauce which was great. The server didn't have much personality and we did have to reconfirm what sauces had gluten and which didn't and had to ask for a second GF soy sauce as well even though in the beginning we did say there are two of us. Pretty empty at 5pm on a Sunday and plenty of free parking (on Sundays) around the corner.“
“Nice sushi place in east village. It has the sports bar ambient with Japanese food. If you want to go to a relaxed place and enjoy very decent rolls, this is your place. Lots of young people, cheerful ambient and relaxed atmosphere. Rolls are pretty good, western versions but tasty and fresh. Good prices for New York.“
“Lovely place!! I get sushi here like basically once a week. The employees are all really kind and polite, and the sushi always tastes fresh and good. If you choode delivery, they always deliver your order super quickly-- same with if you order on the spot! My friends and I love this place-- 10/10 would recommend!!“
“Was here on a Thursday for lunch and it was good. Their seared salmon appetizer was good. They torched it and added a smokey flavor to it which was great for me since I like the smokey flavor. The ramen was spicy but good and the Domodachi Lunch set was abundant and good. Parking wasn't bad for a weekday and service was prompt.“
“My sister and I decided last minute to go out to dinner and we landed at Toro Sushi. I actually used Google assistant to call the restaurant for me and reserve a table 15 minutes before our arrival. Toro was half full when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday but, by 8pm it was full so, our timing was perfect. Everything we ordered was excellent... edamame, tuna avocado salad, Congo roll, New York roll, tuna roll and salmon roll. Service was wonderful. We weren't rushed and food came out quickly. I'm definitely bringing my husband here the next time we visit my sister.“
“First time here ordered hibachi rice and noodles plus vegetable potstickers very yummy. Not sure about all the reviews about bad customer service because my experience was great.Vegetarian options: They have a few but they definitely need more and to make their teriyaki sauce vegan currently it has a chicken base in it.“
“The food was good for the prices offered. The fish quality is pretty good as well for the maki rolls. They offer lunch special deals that are very worth it. I’ve only ever tried the sesame chicken for the kitchen entree but that was delicious too.“
“The food always tastes good. The people who work here are so sweet and kind. I lost my card and they took their time to call me and make sure they were giving the card to the right person. They were too kind. I tried to give a tip for helping me out alot and she refused. The service is great and I reccomend anyone to come here. Thank you to the workers in Ariyoshi for being so truthful and kind! I'll continue to rave and promote this business.“
“i wish I could give this restaurant 10 STARS! i treated myself to sushi for dinner and GrubHub lost the order twice (the initial order and the REPLACEMENT order too). Ninja Sushi called to discuss my experience and when I mentioned it was my birthday they INSISTED on personally delivering the order themselves at no charge. i am floored by their customer service and kindness. the food was great as well. definitely a new FAVORITE of mine!“
“My favorite sushi place in the area! Reasonable prices for great food. The rolls are great and so fresh tasting. I personally also really like the tuna tartare and the salmon tataki. It's hard to find such fresh tasting sushi without breaking the bank so I'm so glad this is near me. The space is also really cute. They have a back area where the chairs are all mismatched and eclectic. While the restaurant itself is more homey feeling, it adds to its charm. The people are always so nice too. Love this place! (Takeout is also great)“
“I’ve been to East Hana a few times and it’s such a wonderful spot. It’s lowkey in terms of ambience but the food always hits the spot. I usually go for the veggie ramen, and the side chili oil. Definitely would recommend for a quick bite - good variety on the menu and lovely staff.“
“Had lunch here on a Sunday. Had the rainbow roll and ramen. Both were good. Lots of mix and match options in ramen. Can opt for 3 types of broth and toppings are to be selected separately. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. Place is cute and clean.“
“Very homey vibe, as the place is verrrry small. There are maybe 4 seats at the counter and then a small table. That’s it. You can see the kitchen working. I got the pork ramen, which was definitely a little bland. Presentation was great. The mushrooms were probably the tastiest part. I really admire the effort and cozy ambience though, and I imagine people normally come here for the bento dishes and grab takeout.“
“I'd been coming here for years then stopped during covid. When I came back recently, the staff remembered me and was very friendly and thankful to see me. That's the kind of service that I prefer over the way too many new, overpriced fancy restaurants in town. It's low key, which I also prefer. The food is very good - my favorite is the mango tango roll.“
“This was my second visit to Tempura Place. It was a Saturday at 3:30pm. I had never eaten any kind of sushi in my 50 years and I decided to dive in here. I've ordered the spicy tuna and the spicy crab. Sense a theme? I guess a total of one person could technically eat-in but this is primarily take-out. I was informed it would take 10 minutes to prepare but it was done before that. I watched Korean Broadcasting Company on the television as I waited. I experienced pleasant service and great food. Waribashi chopsticks were included.“
“This place is pretty new and sits in a plaza with a parking lot and a few other food options so the location is great (unless you're indecisive on what to eat). I've never actually been inside, I've only ordered delivery, but it's been a 10/10 each time. They prepare everything so quickly that I usually get my order delivered in 20 mins which is insane! They also honor your requests - like for an extra couple dollars you can order extra chicken and they really give you EXTRA chicken (I mean look at the pic). I also asked for hot sauce on the side and I wish I would've taken a pic of how much they gave me. They were like oh you want hot sauce??? YOU GOT IT. Hot sauce for days. As for the food, it's exactly what you'd expect from one of these spots. Flavorful, juicy teriyaki chicken with some nice veggies on the side. The rice always tastes fresh and the portion is perfect. I've ordered other items a few times like their shrimp tempura roll and their dumplings. They're delish too but I would definitely say the chicken is the star of the show for me. Overall this place is consistent, quick, good value, and delicious so I will keep on ordering. Yum!!“
