We only did the 12 course and regretted not doing the 17. We came for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday and it was empty! Not many places open for lunch so I appreciated that they have lunch service. They also gave us some mochi for dessert to celebrate our honeymoon.

I’ll always recommend this spot and plan to visit every time I’m in New York.“

“We truly enjoyed our time at the sushi bar. My son absolutely loved the experience, especially collecting and disposing of the plates to earn points. The sushi was very fresh, provided it had not been on the belt for too long, and we would also recommend ordering the hot food. The robot was charming, and we enjoyed having it deliver our drinks. We also appreciated the restroom facilities, which featured heated seats and bidets. While we were unsure about the availability of prizes, our waiter kindly provided a charm for our son. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again in the future.“

“Mikado Sushi has become one of my go-to lunch sushi spots. The sushi is always fresh and consistently good, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

I especially appreciated their service on one occasion when I accidentally placed my order at a different Mikado location. The staff went out of their way to communicate with the other location and helped remake my order for me. They handled the situation so smoothly and were very accommodating throughout.

“Good omakase in New York is easy to find. Good omakase for under $200 is harder, and Noz 17 gets close.
It's sushi only, which I prefer. No filler courses, just the nigiri you came for. The rice is good, well formed with nicely balanced acidity. The fish is fresh and tasty, kept simple with a bit of curing. Where it slipped was the sourcing. The Boston tuna was so-so. Local is a nice idea, but Spanish tuna is better, and Japanese is the best still. The uni was Japanese and decent, but not sweet enough for me. Service was very attentive. The chef explains each piece in simple English, though clearer explanations would have helped. For New York this is entry-level omakase, and you get what you pay for.“

Salmon quality is amazing, so is their teryaki bowls. Doordash delivery is always perfect and timely, they wrap up the soy sauce so it doesn't spill, give freebies from time to time, and even took time to write a note once thanking us. Never once got a bad order. 10/10 my favorite spot to order from.“

Fish, when freshly caught and obtained from fishermen as they come in with their catch, tastes sweet, as i had experienced once in my life. There is that hint of sweetness in the fish the restaurant serves, that is why this is the only place i order from when i have a hankering for jalanese food. “Ordered via GrubHub for a late Friday night dinner when the sushi craving hit. I ordered a tuna bowl, and hubby had a salmon bowl. All of the sushi bar bowls come with edamame, miso soup, seaweed salad, kani salad, regular salad (in this case, it was arugula), and avocado. The fish came in huge chunks, lightly marinaded, and tasted fresh. No complaints. I’d order again and try some actual rolls next time. I saw on their menu a pretty good deal for lunch - $12.50 for three regular rolls, so I’ll have to check that out.“

“Hands down the best restaurant of our entire trip to NYC. The omakase was absolutely perfect, the fish was incredible, and somehow every course was even better than the one before.

Our server, Valeria, was very attentive, answered all our questions, and even gave us recommendations based on what we were in the mood for. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share: sushi, ramen, boba, shrimp tempura, wings, and yakitori. Everything was delicious, and the portions were good. The spicy wings were a bit spicier than I expected, but they still had great flavor. Overall we had a really good experience, with great food and ambiance, and we'll be coming back!“
