Takahachi Bakery Reviews
I spent the day exploring the downtown area of Manhattan. For lunch, o found Takahachi Bakery. They have a nice selection of bakery items and lunch sandwiches and salads.
Very busy restaurant. Service counter on the right side all the way back to partially open kitchen. Be quick to grab a table.
Tables on the left all the way back.
Service people was pleasant and my stuff came out quick. I got a spicy salmon sandwich and a pastry stuffed with custard. Both were excellent.

Amazing pudding and one of the best matcha lattes in NYC. Delicious desserts, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service~ love it~
Exquisite sandwiches and sweets in Manhattan with a broad selection of tea and coffee. There are very dangerous steps going into the shop that are too high snd slippery made from metal. Difficult to walk out holding my purchases. At least a handrail should be installed.

Takahachi Bakery is a hidden gem in downtown NYC, offering a variety of delicious Japanese pastries and cakes. Known for its high-quality ingredients, the bakery does not use seed oils, which many customers appreciate. Their matcha-flavored treats, such as the matcha crepe and matcha mousse cake, have strong, balanced flavors and are not too sweet, making them a favorite among matcha lovers. The bakery also serves savory pastries like the beef patty and curry pan, which taste authentic and remind some customers of Tokyo. Customers praise the breads for being soft and chewy with fillings that are not too sweet. The bakery also offers drinks like hot chocolate with oat milk, which are smooth and just the right level of sweetness. Visitors enjoy the friendly and efficient service, as well as the small sitting area at the back, where they can relax and enjoy their treats. Although tables can sometimes be a bit dirty and wobbly, this does not detract from the overall experience. The pastries and drinks are affordable and taste amazing, making it a popular spot for both everyday treats and special occasions. The bakery features a window where customers can see the bakers at work, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Takahachi Bakery is a cozy place to enjoy Japanese baked goods, with friendly service and a good selection of tasty options.
