“The omakase is good for the price. The service was friendly and attentive. The only issue is the decor and music felt like I was at a party instead of a nice omakase restaurant. This took away from the nice experience we had during our visit.“

“This is the only sushi by bao I have ever been to and it has spoiled it for others for sure. I love the atmosphere, the service and the music. The food is amazing and such an experience. Asia (bartender) and the amazing hostess last night were the best! Plus I had bought a GC that expired that day and they called me to let me know it was expiring so I wouldn’t lose the money!

“I've always loved this place and like to order takeout often. In my opinion, Honshu has the freshest sushi in Jersey City. I haven't dined in since 2020 but decided to come in for lunch before work and am so glad I did. The service was kind and attentive, without being intrusive. It was a beautiful day today and I sat outside enjoying the fresh air, quiet seating and the nice jazzy background music. I appreciated Teresa, my server, making my lunch special. Get the iced tea!!! I look forward to coming in for an omakase experience soon. Thank you Honshu!“

“Friendly, quick service, good prices, delicious sushi and boba drinks! There were other sushi options in this area but they seemed overpriced and more formal than the atmosphere I was going for. Very cozy and I liked it so much that I came back a second time!“

“Itto is usually delicious. 9/10 times it’s consistently good and fresh. The wait staff is always very good.
The seating options feel awkward because the bench is taller than the chairs across from them. It’s not a deal breaker but would make for a nice improvement if they update furniture.“

“The food quality and set menus they have are really solid for sushi and quite delicious. I feel like it gets a little pricy and that’s why I reviewed them at a 4 VS 5 stars as I know I can get equally as good of a handroll in the city for a substantial amount less, but overall this is a good staple in Jersey City. The udon and miso cod are also pretty tasty.“
