In an area with relatively little good Japanese food and even less sushi specifically, Honshu shines bright as a distinct beacon of delicious Japanese cuisine.
The Temaki here is so freaking good. It was like a biweekly ritual coming here to eat.
The staffs are friendly and the price is reasonable.

Honshu is an authentic Japanese Sushi restaurant in downtown Jersey City, offering a variety of dishes including Sushi Rolls, Sashimi, Nigiri, Ramen, and Fried Rice. The restaurant features plenty of windows, outdoor seating, and a lively atmosphere. Their custom rolls, such as the Honshu Roll, Sushi K Roll, and Luis Roll, are highly recommended. The Sashimi selection is impressive, with big portions and a premium fish menu featuring imported Japanese fish. The OMAKASE option is a must-try, with prices starting at $100 per person. The quality is on the better side for sushi in JC and is consistent, well-priced, and the tuna sushi, sashimi, and rolls are amazing. The tempura is also excellent, and the seabass is grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Honshu is a popular spot for sushi lovers, offering a unique and authentic dining experience.
