“This place did not disappoint!! We came late night and ordered appetizers, 1 entree and desserts and everything was beautiful and delicious. French onion soup is amazing, beef tartar was excellent, artichokes were yummy and the bolognese was perfection. The real reason we went was for the sticky toffee pudding and it was on point. Great atmosphere and took me back to Paris for a.moment! Highly recommend“
“The whole experience was phenomenal - starting from very warm welcome, ambience, service and especially the food. The tasting menu options were all encompassing with their best dishes and we really loved all of them. The desert experience was out of the world! Lastly we would like to note a special mention for Javier (captain for our section) - he made sure we had the best experience on a special day including a kitchen tour! Overall totally loved the Michelin 2 experience at Daniel’s and we would highly recommend it.“
“What a gem we just found! I made a reservation at Stake Frites last minute on a whim, and am so glad I did. At first we sat at a high table but the place is tight, even for NY standards, so I asked the hostess if we could sit at the bar, that was perfect. Juan, the bartender, was the best! He makes the best cocktails and was really nice. The whole staff is great! Food was good, though my husband’s steak chateaubriand wasn’t served rare as he requested. We’ll definitely be back and try other things on the menu. My only complaint would be the very tight space but I heard they may be expanding so that might change.“
“The service was incredible, the atmosphere and details were beautiful. The food was mostly delicious. The only con was they have very strong perfume scented candles that leave the taste of them so you can’t fully enjoy the food as the scent is so overpowering.“
“Ambiance and service are first-rate, as is the wine list. The food was very good with one miss, the amberjack with bone marrow was too salty and rich. I should've done black seabass. A good experience. I'm not sure the value was there but not overpriced either. Aquavit might be slightly better. I'm glad I went to try. Again, first rate staff. I'd give this restaurant 4.5 stars if i could. It just wasn't the best meal i've ever had and admittedly a very high bar. Not a serious comment but its a french restaurant, shouldn't they refer to the sea-bass as loup de mer and not branzino?“
“This place is FABULOUS. We were visiting and it was recommended by a friend. Martinis are perfection. And the steak and pom frites were amazing. It was a super crowded and popular spot. Clearly a well-loved institution in NYC and I can see why! We would absolutely recommend!“
“Fun food hall and mercantile for all. Great if you have multiple people looking for different types of food, looking for a fun higher-end casual date night, or dividing and conquering to go find yummy takeout to go enjoy with a group out on Pier 17.Plenty of tasty options, fresh ingredients, and NYC goodies to purchase.“
“Wonderful spot for a long, leisurely lunch. The food is excellent, notably, the french fries, which are borderline miraculous in their flavor and ab to sustain maximum crispiness for hours on end. The cocktails are very good, especially the martini service. The wine list is extensive and SKUs heavily to the natural side, so be warned. But the dining room is high ceiling and convivial, and the staff is allowed to sport their personalities, which is welcome.“
“Wayan is my favorite restaurant! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the food is a flavor explosion in your mouth. There's also just a really cool vibe there. I went for my birthday (2nd year in a row), and I had the sashimi for the first time and it was sensational! It's now going to be a staple every time I go there, along with my other staples, the octopus a la plancha, the corn fritter, and the brussel sprouts. I also tried the lime pie with buttermilk ice cream. Incredible! The chocolate ganache was also fantastic! Just go! You won't be disappointed.“
“What a unique and special experience. The chef considers every aspect of fine dining at his Michelin rated restaurant. Service is impeccable, quiet upscale dining with a variety of exquisite tasting food , beautiful dishes and a variety of wine to choose from with a sommelier. We wanted our children to experience a top French restaurant with a tasting menu. We enjoyed the seven course "essential menu." Dined on so many tasty dishes. Absolutely my favorite was the wagyu. Best thing I have ever tasted. It's extremely pricey so save this for something very special if cost is a factor.“
“I could not have enjoyed my mealtime at Le Gratin more. I felt welcomed by each member of the staff with whom I interacted. Each dish I sampled was executed with obvious talent & craftsmanship. I could not conclude any particular seat at Le Gratin was a bad one, which attests to the great care and guest oriented focus achieved by the curator of the spaces within. Beautiful vintage light fixtures. Standouts for me were the duck rilletes, the dessert wine ( a PASSITTO DI PANTERELLA ), and the day’s special- an angus rondel with brioche and foil gras on top. I’ll never forget this experience.“
“For my husband's birthday, I chose Pavillon, and it was an exceptional experience. Not only was the food fantastic, but the staff were also remarkable. They were warm, professional, and attentive. Elyes, in particular, took excellent care of us, displaying both gentleness and professionalism. It truly was an outstanding dining experience, and I highly recommend it!“
“A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. I would highly recommend the Consulate's Old Fashioned which has Mescal. The French 85 is also good.“
“Le Coucou is a truly exceptional dining experience. The interior designed by Roman and Williams is beautiful, warm, and cozy, with a cute little bar area and a gorgeous open kitchen that adds to the ambiance. The menu is divided into three sections - small tapas-like plates, starters, and mains. We started with the white bean salad with crispy pig and anchovy, as well as the fried eel with curry. Both dishes were light yet packed with subtle flavors. We also had the pleasure of trying the artichoke and egg dish from our neighbors, which was a delightful combination of a scotch egg and eggs Benedict, served cold. For our starter, we shared the veal head with creme fraiche and caviar, which was decadently delicious. The mains were equally impressive - my wife had the beef with gratin potatoes with oxtail, while I enjoyed the bourride, a seafood dish in an ethereal fish broth. We ended our meal with a wonderful cheese plate and a rice pudding that was lighter than air. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed an excellent bottle of red Chinon from Bernard Baudry. Overall, Le Coucou offers a beautiful space and excellent celebratory food. It is the perfect spot for a formal dining experience that is sure to impress.“
“It's very nostalgic and authentically retro in the space, despite being crowded it's quiet. Great service without trying too hard. Brunch was good but not exceptional, Dessert was a dream. So so good and the menu is filled with traditional favorites which I appreciate. I enjoyed people watching and the general feeling of old New York was so comforting. For me it was a splurge and worth it for the atmosphere and dessert.“
“Nice Matin is a bright and lively restaurant. The servers are friendly, helpful, and often check in with your table. Their food is very good and has some unique brunch options (grapefruit with granola topping, scrambled eggs with Marquez sausage, etc.) Yet they have the beloved choices of egg benedicts, sandwiches, and entrees such as salmon and steak even at brunch time. The prices are very good for Manhattan and every seat was filled during our Saturday brunch.“
“TLDR: Replacing what was The Breslin is now Koloman. This is a very European restaurant. I've only been for lunch but for this level of dining, probably one of the better prefixe menus. I think the focaccia is worth it and for my selections, tartare, schnitzel and strudel.I went through a week of just eating a lot of fancy lunches solo. This day I hit up Koloman as I was curious about their prefixe for awhile.I added the warm pumpkin focaccia and yeah - that was tasty. Definitely rubbed in plenty of oil but it was nicely crispy on the outside but oh so fluffy on the inside. That butter was something else too.For the selections I started with the tartare. Typical french preparation, not too eggy or rich. Adequate acidity and very flavorful.Schnitzel. I wanted to like this a bit more but it was still good. The schnitzel coating was quite thin but maybe the way it was plated on top of each other - it kind of steamed out the coating and it just fell off. I liked the warm potato salad that accompanied it. I still am not a fan of lingonberry but I can appreciate it.Strudle. Very thin layers, tasty but maybe too much powdered sugar for my preference.Overall - I liked the food enough that Id' be back and maybe try some other things on the menu. Standout for me on this meal though? Focaccia, tartare.“
“The food, service and decor are all excellent. There are set menus and tasting menus available. The restaurant is very beautiful, the cutlery is well designed and the furniture is equally well designed. The service in the restaurant was generally skilful and very prompt (I guess some of the minor embarrassments were caused by the newbies). There is a chef's table in the kitchen, but I personally prefer the view seating in the dining room. The wine list is great. Overall a great high end experience. I will be back soon. Will definitely come back.“
“l'abeille is a charming treasure housed in a romantic corner spot in Tribeca. The lighting is moody and the decor lux with velvet seat cushions and a handsomely laid table. The service is thoughtful and no detail is overlooked. They immediately brought a little stool for my handbag when they saw me struggling to find a spot for it. The food is exquisitely presented - the salads look like works of art - and everything tastes as delectable as it looks. The wine list is exceptional. l'abeille is a very special restaurant and not to be missed.“
“This wine bar in midtown is a gem among the sea of Irish Pubs and delis. The service is top-notch and international, adding to the welcoming vibe. Went alone, sat at the bar and ordered a charcuterie which was excellent value and quality, paired perfectly with bold reds, handpicked with the help of their awesome servers. Loved it.“
“I just had a great experience at Per Se! I was stopping by NYC for my work and personal trips on the East Coast. The server Eric learned about my interest in Michelin restaurants and surprised me with a tour of the kitchen afterwards. Both food and service are beyond my expectations. They gave me more deserts than I could handle and packed me enough desert for the week. Highly recommend to fellow foodies!“
“I start this review at the end: We will be returning to L'accolade for dinner again. I made our reservations on the same night as catching a show after dinner and so, we did not get a bottle from the wine list. The next time we go back, my husband and I have agreed to schedule dinner on it's own so that we may spend a bit more time and have a bottle from the wine list. The wine list is intriguing and electric, with many selections that my husband did not recognize, but is excited to try.I reserved at L'accolade because it was close to the venue where our show was scheduled that night and the restaurant that I first booked had removed duck (my favourite) from their menu. I wasn't sure what to expect exactly, from the online menu I was expecting something quite French, but I thought it would a bit more traditional? We were blown away and so happy I found L'accolade!Entering the restaurant we were greeted in a very professional and knowledgeable staff member, who had a great smile :)The place was hopping - lively music, lots of people having lively conversation and the interior felt like a very like we were about to dine in someone's beloved wine cave.We were seated at one of the best tables in the restaurant, I'm not sure how we got so lucky, this table was perfect for us.The gentleman was taking care of us primarily let us know we arrived at Happy Hour and that the drink specials were still on, so we began with a cocktail. I rarely have gin so opted for the Lavande, which features one of my fav flavour combinations, lavender and lemon and it was the perfect start to my meal. My husband requested a vodka martini on ice with three olives and our gentleman asked he if wanted it dirty - always the sign that someone knows their martinis! My husband answered "A little" and our gentleman knew exactly what was what :DWe greatly enjoyed our cocktails while we made our decisions about our meals. My husband looked over the wine list and was surprised to see many selections he was unfamiliar with, it was decided that if the food was good, we would be back to try a bottle from the wine list.At the perfect moment, the gentleman taking care of us returned to take our food orders and wine for our mains. We were very happy to be informed how each of our mains would be served - both medium rare, which is our preferred cook. I am not sure how others feel about this, but for my husband and I, we were reminded of our recent trip to Paris and take as a sign that the chef is well-trained in the French style. This was a touch that really made us smile, thank you.I had the Hamachi Tartare, it was beautifully presented, balanced, tasted of freshness and just a touch of acidity. I was worried it wouldn't taste right with my cocktail, but it was quite complimentary. My husband opted for the Seared Scallops which looked dramatic and perfect on his plate. He greatly enjoyed them and, of course, loved his martini. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, it reminded us greatly of French service with a friendly American twist. One of the things that stood out to us about the staff is that they genuinely seem to like working here and to also like each other, it's a really great environment to spend time in.Our table was clear and our mains presented in perfect timing and our dinner wine were brought over at exactly the right moment. My husband had the Beef Strip Loin, which included a serving of bone marrow. His plate was dramatic and he loved it. My husband that although he doesn't usually enjoy bone marrow, it was delicious and he finished it all off. We really appreciate the staff member who was attentive enough to realize that my husband needed a spoon without us asking, thank you, thank was very kind.I had the duck. It was the reason that we booked here and it was wonderful - perfectly cooked, the sides were tasty and balanced. It was the kind of duck that I will think about for a long time.We are so happy that we had dinner here and have been talking about it since we visited.“
“The most delicious brunch, the BEST service! We had a wonderful time, food was SO good…the avocado was so green and fresh, the hash brown was the size of my face! Everyone was so welcoming…the nicest and most efficient staff EVER! 10/10!!“
“The ambiance is inviting, with tasteful decor, but what truly sets this restaurant apart is its food. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with care and attention to detail. But it's not just the food that impresses; the service is impeccable as well. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, always on hand to offer recommendations or answer any questions. In summary outstanding food and top-notch service.“
“La Sirene is such a cute/cozy neighborhood French restaurant in Tribeca. price can be a bit expensive compare to others (especially for escargot), but service was very attentive and food was delicious. My husband and I ordered a few glasses of house sparkling wine, white wine and red wine plus escargot (6 for $24.5), lamb chops, filet mignon with foie gras and banana brulee.we ordered filet mignon as medium rare, but it came as rare.. and we realized other tables got theirs rare as well lol. but it was tender and juicy. whatever. For dessert, we finished off with a banana brulee and it was cold on top.I definitely think people should add this restaurant to their bookmark and check it out.“
“If I can give them 100 stars I would~! We had a bday celebration over the weekend and my friends and I had the most amazing time. We all said that John and the whole team went above and beyond. The atmosphere reminded me a intimate bistro in Momont in Paris. If you want to feel like you are in Paris, come and sit enjoy the vibe!“
“WOW just WOW! I randomly stumbled upon this place when walking on the UES, and it's really your typical French bistro. Great ambiance (perfect for a Sunday family lunch or even a date night!). Everything was delicious and the service was PERFECT! Potato Leek Soup ~~ DELICIOUS! Thick and creamy consistency with crispy potatoes. Loved it. French Onion Soup ~~ Exactly as you can expect. Absolutely delicious. Cheesy. Oniony. Wow. Steak au Poivre ~~ The sauce was perfectly peppery and perfectly thick. The steak itself was not as tender as I would have liked it to be, but overall, the dish was great. Tarte Tatin ~~ This dessert was great. Not my fave, but a table favorite. Mousse au Chocolat ~~ This was my absolute FAVE! It was a milk chocolate mousse which is not the usual. WOW. Loved this. Wish I could eat this every single day. I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be coming back for more!!“
“Dinner at Le Gigot was an absolute delight and everything I hoped from a charming bistro in the village! Amazing wine selection and a top-notch menu, attentive service, and a quaint and warm atmosphere. Coming in on a cold, rainy evening, Le Gigot was a very welcome shelter from the storm :)“
“Great local find. It gets quite loud for both brunch and dinner, so plan at an off time if you're looking for a quieter meal or date where you want to hear the other person. Food was good and served quickly. For brunch, we tried the omelet, salad nicoise, fish, and sweets. Partnered wine was on point. When we went back for dinner - one of us had steak, another mussels, and the third the chicken - all really great. Not super fancy, but had a good hometown vibe.“
“From the moment we stepped in, our dining experience at Barnea was exceptional. The exquisite food tantalized our taste buds, and the top-notch service, led by server Reuben and manager Anthony, elevated our evening. Every dish was a masterpiece, and the attentive staff ensured our every need was met with a smile. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Barnea to anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience.“
“The Niçoise salad is much better than the one I had in Nice, France, where the dish originated. The one at L’Express is made with fresh seared tuna in comparison to the one in Nice that was made with a can of oily tuna. The baby artichoke at L’Express was also exceptional.Prices of food and cocktails are reasonable for NYC, and the service at the bar was superb.“
“Brazilian/Portuguese fine dining experience. I m glad I chose this place. It was magical. It was stunning. Amazing team work from top to bottom. It was open kitchen and that was something I really enjoyed. It was always interesting to witness everyone worked together as a team. Anyway I have to point it out that our server really listened. Navy terms, we call it "attention to details." Special occasion details were not provided when the reservation was made. Yet he figured out the special occasion and improvised accordingly. A surprising treat was served at the end of the dinner. It was like something you would see from a TV show. For the food, the tasting menu was a symphony. A roller coaster ? I would say. The transitions of the flavor from mild to strong and strong to mild were just beautiful. Bravo to the chef. Thoughtfulness was what it was. In my opinion, Some courses were Japanese culture influenced but reconstruted with Brazilian flavored and modern techniques. They were just amazing. Art within art. The collaboration with Toma-L, a renowned painter from France, was a brilliant ideal. It took the dining experience to a whole new level. It is subjective, but I think I had the best dining experience ever. I really enjoyed it.“
“This cafe is a lovely escape from the mean streets of the city. Wonderful desserts and beverages. However, it can be very crowded. That isn't a bad thing, you just need to be prepared for the crowds at certain times. We love going here and having tea and hot chocolate.“
“thoroughly enjoyed everything i ate and the ambiance is divine for an LES spot that does not have any pretentious vibes. burger is juicy. the sides are perfectly composed. drinks were strong and oysters perfectly shucked. and the staff is super nice and accommodating. can’t wait to come “
“Absolutely fantastic experience. I loved the aesthetic inside the restaurant and the staff was super kind And service was fast even at a peak time with a full restaurant. The steak frites and ribeye were cooked perfectly and incredibly tasty. I’m usually a tough critic when it comes to steaks at restaurants and had my guard up but they knocked out of the park. The wine selection is also extensive and solid to pair with your meal.“
“The food is delicious! Very sophisticated eg: fish sauce jelly, beef cheeks, clam pot in a coconut with sake..But the portions are designed for date nights instead of large crowds. The menu has been elevated to focus on a more French style. This is not a typical pho restaurant, if you are looking for a higher end Vietnamese French cuisine, definitely try it out.“
“I absolutely love the energy/vibe in this place! Music and food was great! The drinks were absolutely delicious and the customer service was spectacular. All the employees were great! Shout out to Darren, Mauricio and Melissa and the kitchen staff they made my night and the experience so amazing that I can't wait to go back. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my after-work spot. I'm looking forward to going there again.“
“Always lovely service and excellent food, but we were seated in a busy corner with a lot of small tables crammed together, and with the staff coming by and people squeezing in and out, my chair gets hit repeatedly, and I'm a very small person with my seat scooted in!“
“Eine tolle Bäckerei im französischem Stil, die auch Sitzmöglichkeiten anbieten (man kann auch sehr gut frühstücken) und die eine Spezialität anbieten: das Suprême, ein Croissant mit einer Füllung. Wir haben das Croissant mit einer Pistazienfüllung genommen und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Füllung verteilt sich in dem kompletten Croissant und schmeckt echt fantastisch.“
“I had the pleasure of dining at Ai Fiori for Valentine's Day, and it’s definitely a meal I won’t forget. The review is a bit delayed, but the experience was so memorable, particularly their risotto, which was the best I've ever had. I’ve since tried risotto at other restaurants, but none have lived up to the standard set by Ai Fiori. We opted for the four-course prix fixe menu, which was a journey of exquisite flavors. Along with the standout risotto, they prepared an exquisite chocolate box that I had ordered as an extra surprise for my wife. It was beautifully presented at our table when we arrived, making for a lovely and thoughtful gesture. The dinner, while a bit expensive, turned out to be an excellent deal thanks to our $100 hotel credit from the AMEX Platinum card. This definitely took the sting out of the price and made the whole experience feel even more worthwhile.Every dish, including the risotto and the beautifully crafted chocolate box, contributed to a fantastic overall experience at Ai Fiori. The four-course meal was a perfect balance of culinary artistry and flavor, and the added bonus of the AMEX credit just enhanced the value of an already splendid evening. It was a Valentine’s dinner that combined luxury, exceptional taste, and a special touch of romance.“
“fav restaurant week deal. great atmosphere and balanced flavours with each dish. $30 dinner can’t be beat with a wine pairing too. fantastic experience and such a cute building where seating just never ends. great vibe, good service and fantastic food. you would regret it if you didn’t go, especially during restaurant week.“
“Excellent service & food to match. The escargot is divinely delish as are the other dishes I've had.Very curated wine list with a very knowledgeable & attentive staff. The atmosphere is giving old world French restaurant but not at all stuffy. One of my favorite French restaurants in Manhattan.“
“Sel au Poivre has the overall ambience of the little French restaurant in the neighborhood. The classics are all on the menu and absolutely delicious. The calves liver is beautifully prepared and so rare to fund on a menu these days. Sel au Poivre is a great discovery for a quiet drink or dinner.“
“the service here is the best I have ever had in my life. the food was good as were the drinks. before arriving I was wondering if I would feel it was worth the cost after leaving I definitely felt so.we were so fortunate to have the chef pop by our table and to sneak a peek at the kitchen. the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, generous, and helpful. would recommend going here for sure.Dietary restrictions: everything is vegan. they were able to accommodate to gluten free.“
“We went for my aunts 95th bday. Saturday afternoon. Table for twelve outside. Lovely! Server was new, but did her best. The kitchen agreed to make moules frites for a few of us. (Wasn’t on the brunch menu, odd bc we have it for lunch during the week) we were a large group, but the kitchen couldn’t get out the Quiche special for over 10 minutes after all the other lunches came out. Other then that, the food was enjoyable as always! Creme brûlée was excellent“
“Fluke was fabulous. Duck confit a little too salty, but then again, I’m on a low sodium diet. Divine dessert! We dined for over two hours, but they didn’t rush us. I truly appreciate that as I’m experiencing certain restaurants, mind you not cheap, asked us to vacate our table for the waiting patrons…..“
“Delicious house made granola at brunch time.Second time around i had a burger for brunch. My brother gets them every time. I asked to leave out a few things and they did it correctly and didn't seem bothered by it.Despite the fact that the inside of the restaurant is huge, and 75% of it was full, we got our food quite quickly. With the burger you can have fries or a small salad. For the burgers they also had a bernaise sauce? It's on the side so it is optional. Over the last 20 years in that neighborhood, I have gone at least 80% of the time. The one drawback is that they played music in the background that can make it hard to hear.“
“The food, atmosphere, and service was truly excellent. We enjoyed the whipped ricotta as our appetizer, the faso chicken and the faso big burger as our mains, and the chocolate fondant and cappuccinos for dessert. Every bite was delicious. We will be back soon!“
“This was my favorite restaurant I visited during my last trip to NYC! I was wondering around Soho, got hungry, and popped in to see if I could grab a seat at the bar. The bar vibe is where it’s at! Plus the bartenders rock, the food and drinks are spectacular, and the atmosphere is spot on.“
“Wow. I found this by searching for food nearby to the comedy cellar, and man did google nail it.I was sitting near the bar having a drink looking over the menu before I could actually get a seat. The staff were absolute legends, and we had a good conversation.Met a lady while she was waiting on her friend to show up. We sat down and chatted the whole time. She recommended the Filet, and I got it.Noticed there were Pommes Aligot on the menu and had to have it. I’ve only had this once in my life and had made it myself. It’s a PITA. It was delicious and I highly recommend this as your side.“
