“Sat at the bar. Very fair happy hour prices. Dinner was wonderful. The trout with Marcona almonds was the stand out. Desserts were incredible. Our bartender, Alejandro, was so knowledgeable and fun. Went upstairs to the roof top bar after for a nightcap which was equally delightful.“

“Really enjoyed our meal here! Some really stand out dishes, incredible service, and super intimate space.

Some dishes did fall a bit flat (specifically a fish dish that needed a bit more acid to balance it out & desert was a bit underwhelming), but the standouts really stood out to make this a meal worth coming back to. A personal favorite was the Dashi presentation in a wine glass & incredible wagyu beef. Excited to try their next menu!“

“The food at risbo has always been excellent— been going for years and have never had a bad experience. Ever since the take out orders became demanding, waiting in line as a customer in the restaurant is hell!

But forget about us, the workers are trying to keep up with the line of customers as well as the take out orders all on the same line and in the same space. They are sweating and stressed and it is not ann efficient way for them to work. Yesterday myself and other customers waited 1 hr to eat- 30 minutes to order and 30 minutes for the food to be ready.

This system undoubtedly impacts the employees tips and burnout rate, and of course, it’s also hard for in-person customers to wait that long— no matter how great the food is.

This is a call to action for the owner of this establishment!! We love our neighbors in France— but honey, this is Brooklyn!! We are hungry and tired and we love your food and your restaurant!

Rethink the assembly line system and plan a better system for take out orders!! Your customers and employees will thank you !!

“Came here on the recommendation of a good friend and was pleasantly surprised. The decor and the ambience is amazing. a great place to chill and just relax with friends and people you love. This is strictly a wine bar, as I did not see any alcohol served. The food itself was not bad. I wouldn't say it was absolutely amazing, but I feel that the vibe and the wine selection really make this place what it is. The French onion soup was not terrible, but it could definitely be better. I feel that they use mozzarella cheese for the soup. This is supposedly a French inspired restaurant, so I will let them slide, but the crabcakes were OK. I don't really care for all the spice. It was served with a mango chutney, a pesto sauce, and some sort of chipotle mayo. I mean, these are just flavors completely out of left field. The crab cake itself was very spicy, and it was really a minced crab rather than chunks of crab. Again, this place is not supposedly known for crabcakes, so I can't really base it on that. The duck confit salad was OK as well. Nothing crazy, just all right. Didn't hate it, but I wasn't in love with it either. The burger I got was served rare, just how I liked it, and to be honest, it felt a bit bland. I wish there were salted pepper on the table so I can season the burger as I like it. The french fries were OK. They seem pretty good, a little soggy, but still good nonetheless. The beef Bourgainon was pretty good. the sauce itself was very good and you could tell a lot of care was put into the sauce. I'm not really much of a stew person, but this was good. The start of the show is the owner. He was vibrant, energetic, very considerate of his patrons, and totally welcoming and hospitable. Show I would definitely come back just for the ambience and the owner. This place is good, but it can be great couple of tweaks like a happy hour menu or a buy one get one half off or something, just to promote it. If you ran a special starting from 7 PM till about 9 PM, like a after work happy hour, I think you would really kill it on weekdays“

“This place is a hidden gem! Every dish we ordered blew us away, the menu is small, but every item on it is curated perfectly. Standouts: the steak tartare was delicious, and the whole chicken was an absolute show-stopper, perfectly cooked, juicy, and elevated even further by the sauce. Dessert sealed the deal for us, the chocolate mousse and rice pudding were both incredible. I don’t even usually like rice pudding, but the texture and flavor were amazing. We’ll be back soon!“

“Brunch was incredible! Everything on their menu was divine! Pancakes were delicious, egg sandwich was chefs kiss to the morning. Latte was on point. There is a rarity to having a cafe make you immediately feel welcome. From the great music, incredible food, and overall vibe, I felt like I wanted to stay to not only have more, but I wanted to talk with everyone. This place was a magnet for such charming and unique opportunities. I passed by philosophy club meeting, hosted by one of the owners, I saw a family enjoying their food outside in the patio, and heard a lot of laughter from the crew. No one was stressed and people were happy to be here. People came here to feel more at home. Definitely coming back and taking my friends and family.“

“Stumbled upon this place while walking through Park Slope on a Saturday night and was lucky enough to get a front-window table without a reservation. From the moment we sat down, everything exceeded expectations—the food, atmosphere, music, wine-by-the-glass selection, and especially the service.

We shared the endive salad ( incredible ), escargot, steak with au gratin potatoes, and every dish was outstanding. The quality of the ingredients and the precision of the preparation rivaled that of a 1 star Michelin-starred restaurant.

“Discovered this cute spot while on my lunch break, and I walked in and automatically fell in love. It immediately took me back to living in Europe. The authenticity, the freshness of the sandwich, the espresso… everything was so lekker.

The owner happened to be training a new employee while I was there and was super helpful with the menu. He was also shocked by the little Dutch I knew 😂 We ended up kiki-ing about how great the Netherlands and Belgium are, which honestly made the whole experience even better.

It was such a highlight of my day! I STILL dream about the sandwich with the truffle butter.

Definitely a place I want to go back to. My only complaint is how far it is from Harlem 😂 I am officially in support of them opening a Manhattan location!“

The space is a cozy brownstone; perfect spot for the winter season. The drinks are fun, the food is delightful, and the vibe is chill.

All the savory food, YUM. Can’t go wrong.

The sweets are hit or miss. Either the most delectable thing you’ve ever had or flavorless and mid. The sweets can be catfish sometimes cause they all look beautiful.

Coffee is tasty. Matcha is no bueno.“

“Food 10/10: Everything I ate had great flavors including chicken falling off the bone, Drinks 8/10: two drinks I had were great, but menu is limited, Place 7/10: Restaurant is well designed but food smell is all over the table place as it’s an open kitchen but doesn’t have well ventilation. The Host gentleman was very attentive and the server/bartender/busgirl/barback was holding the place down and did an awesome job.

Come visit but be patient as food comes out slowly.

“Good food but strange policy. The waiter took our order and disappeared. Supplemental staff served the food. There was no normal waiter service. Then the tab included an added fee for "restaurant service" of about 15% That money I was told goes to the owner! No wonder the waiter went home.“
