“I walked past Pierre & Michel Authentic French Bakery last weekend, after I'd eaten, so I promised myself I'd return today. First, I love the shop. It friendly & inviting. Plenty of small round tables and a few comfy chairs and a couch. Very inviting. I sat across from a huge wall painting of Paris/Eiffel Tower on a misty day . I feel like I can walk into it and be instantly in Paris. Reminds me of the woody Allen movie. Everything looks amazing. I believe all the baking is done here because new pastry treats keep emerging from the back, filling the air with buttery sweet smells. I decided to test the French fare with a coffee and an apricot croissant . I took a seat, a few moments later, the server brought me my trial treat. One word: incroyable The croissant was (emphasize the word 'was') buttery soft & lite, several delicate slices of apricot and filled with a creamy vanilla? Pudding. It's gone. I devoured each bite and my mouth was pleased. The coffee is amazing (I don't know what brand) perfect with the heavenly croissant. I'll be back many times. I love the experience Pierre & Michel have crafted. I've decided I'm taking one of their fresh baked baguettes home with me for nibbling on all afternoon. “My first time trying Sophie's Bistro. It definitely won't be my last. What can I say, you get what you pay for, and dining here is well worth it. From the moment you walk in you feel right at home. The service and menu selection is amazing. The decor is inviting and cozy. The food is perfection, be prepared to clean your plate. The owner came over to introduce himself and to make sure the dining experience and the food was what we expected. “Came here for a company holiday dinner. I've been to their other location in Somerville which was amazing. This place is just the same. Everything from the interior to the food was amazing. The service was great. They were very attentive and friendly. The food came out fairly quickly for our large party. Everyone from the owners to the waitresses were awesome. We had a fixed menu for our large party that included soup, salad, entree and dessert. The salad was delicious and fresh. We had a choice of 3 different soups, I had gone for a coconut chicken soup that was refreshing and slightly citrusy. My entree was the garlic salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was also covered in chopped shrimp and served with a side of white rice. Everything was superb. I would recommend this place to everyone whether it's for a casual lunch, a date night or even a group dinner.“
“Been there enough now that I feel I can give a complete review. Have enjoyed a wide assortment of pastry's, drinks and breakfast sandwiches and I never had a bad experience to-date as the food is always outstanding. Service is always courteous and professional and the cafe interior has always been in a high state of maintained cleanliness. interior is just a little stark and could do with a little something to give it a cozier feel. But that in no way detracts from the actual product and I consider it a real gem of the area...“
