“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. “Finally got around to trying it after having it on my list for a couple of years. I hadn’t had the chance to make it out to Brooklyn before, but I’m so glad I finally did. The pizza was everything I imagined and more. We were the first ones to order, and it ended up being one of my favorite pizzas I’ve had to date. The crust was light and crispy, the sauce was packed with flavor, and every bite lived up to the hype. An absolute must-try in New York, and I can’t wait to come back.“

The sesame balls here are so good!!! For catering we got veggie low mein, braised pork, bunch of different potstickers, sesame balls, and everything comes with cutlery if needed. They clearly label everything and the packaging is great because they seal all the containers so they don’t spill and the food came warm to eat. 👏🫶🤤

FYI there’s great catering here too! They offer delivery and have a great setup for any event. Will post pics of the catering if I can find them.“

“My food was delicious. I had the 60/40 and fries. The space is cozy and positive. It’s perfect for takeout, but there are a few seats and a counter available inside. “I’d like to start off this review by saying that I am a Latina woman, who has been to Pokito many times and been treated with nothing but kindness and respect - as such, I felt the responsibility to share my personal experience here having read another review below.

This past Friday evening, my sister and I stopped by Pokito for a drink after a concert. We sat up at the bar, and they were quite crowded but to be expected for a Friday night. Unfortunately, there was a super loud group sat at a table behind us that was making it difficult for my sister and I to hear the bartender, or eachother. Having lived in NYC for five plus years now, I’m no stranger to a loud bar - but this was over the top.

At one point, someone screamed so loud that it startled my sister and I, and we turned to look over our shoulders to see what was going on - It had escalated to the point that my sister and I couldn’t have a conversation a few inches from each other because this group was yelling so loudly. At one point we made eye contact with the loudest person at the table - their review says they apologized to other bar patrons for their noisiness, but they certainly didn’t apologize or acknowledge their behavior to us.

So we felt relief when management asked the group to quiet down. We thanked the bartender for helping make the environment more comfortable so we could carry on our conversations together. Turns out, the bartender was Latino (like my sister and I), so we chatted for a bit. The manager was also behind the bar, who also identifies as a person of color, and was nothing but kind and lovely.

At one point, as the noisy group were leaving, one of them came up to the bartender and had what looked to be a defensive conversation. My sister and I didn’t engage, but I did check reviews because it seemed like they were heated - so when I found their review below claiming that their treatment felt discriminatory, I felt compelled to share my experience as well.

As a Latina woman, I’m all too aware that we live in a world where discrimination runs rampant, and I will be the first to come to someone’s defense. That said, I can wholeheartedly say that this was NOT the case at Pokito when the loud group was kindly asked to leave. It’s a very dangerous and loaded accusation to suggest that a business owner - let alone another bipoc person - is somehow prejudiced towards their customers. After my discussion with the bartender and management, I see them as very fair and warm people, who seek to create a comfortable and welcoming experience for all of their guests.

So long story short - if you are a person of color considering going to Pokito, I would like to reassure you that you will be treated with nothing but kindness and respect by staff (of whom many are also people of color!). That said, if you are loud / inconsiderate/ drunk / obnoxious and infringe on others’ experiences at Pokito, then management may exercise their right to ask you to be respectful for the sake of other guests :)“

“We visited Fausto not having any prior idea of what to expect. It was a family celebration, and we could not have chosen a better restaurant for it. The level of service was outstanding - my husband remarked how attentive and perfectly timed was the arrival of each of the courses and the beverages, the food temperature exactly on point to be eaten for full flavor and enjoyment. The staff work was flawless, fully involved and yet unobtrusive. A feat, in all senses. The focaccia and crispy potatoes were delicious, and four different pasta dishes wonderful and distinctive im flavors and freshness. And what to say about the gelati - the fior di latte was simply a poem. I recommend Fausto wholeheartedly. Thanks to the team who makes possible such a satisfying experience, particularly Sean.“

“I had an amazing experience at Pokeworks! The teriyaki chicken poke bowl was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with generous toppings like avocado and spicy mayo. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, and the portions were satisfying. The atmosphere was casual and inviting, perfect for a quick meal. Highly recommend trying it for delicious poke!
