“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
L&B Spumoni Gardens is hands down the gold standard for Sicilian pizza in Brooklyn, if not the entire world! Their thick, fluffy crust is the perfect foundation for a rich, flavorful tomato sauce that's slightly sweet and utterly addictive. The cheese-to-sauce ratio is spot on, creating a harmonious bite every single time.
The atmosphere is classic Brooklyn—friendly, lively, and full of character. Whether you're grabbing a slice to-go or sitting down to enjoy the full experience, you can't go wrong. And don’t leave without trying their iconic spumoni; it's the perfect creamy, refreshing treat to round out the meal.
This place is a slice (or square) of heaven! Perfect for locals and visitors alike, L&B is more than just pizza; it's an essential Brooklyn tradition. 🍕👏“

“This place is adorable! I’m a sucker for good curbside seating and PDA has a great outdoor space. The interior is cozy but has a great homey feel and full view of the brick iron oven pumping out pizza after pizza.
Note: the bathroom sink is operated by pedal - don’t look for the knobs lol.
Ok food: the shoshito peppers came out perfectly charred, the arancini are wonderfully crisp and cheesy with an unexpected yet not overwhelming bite (of spicy). We had the sun gold & oyster mushroom pizza - YUM! Perfectly thin Neapolitan pizza with the perfect layer of toppings to keep it from getting soggy.
The no-bake cookies with an espresso top off the meal ideally.
Definitely enjoyed this Brooklyn gem, and happen to think the name of this place is brilliant! “

“seriously, one of the best, if not the best. I have tried in other states, and still exploring. This is definitely close to making the cut.“

“I came for the sourdough bagels and thought I would be blown away by the delicious texture and taste. The bagels were ok and awfully chewy (like rubber). I've also had better lox. It was ok. Service was great as was the atmosphere. I'll surely be going back for the sourdough pizza as it surely looks 5 star worthy.“

“This is the best pizza I have ever had, nice crisp, light crust with just the right amount of toppings, no grease at all. I live in CT and thought no pizza was better than our New Haven ones, boy was I wrong!!! Looking forward to returning……soon!“

“Went for a late dinner last night at the location in Dyker Heights and so glad we did. We had the specials: Rigatoni with braised shredded Short ribs and Reggiano Parmigiano and Escarole and white beans sautéed with fresh garlic and Extra Virgin Olive oil w roasted Atlantic Salmon. It was delicious! This restaurant never disappoints and the food is always consistent and on point. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes dining here even more enjoyable. I highly recommend La Villa in Dyker Heights!“

“Came to Brooklyn for the weekend all the way from little Knoxville TN to visit my fiancés family and the last stop on the way out before heading home was for pies at speedy Romeos and boy are we glad we did they were not only the pest pizzas of the trip but the best pizza I’ve ever had hands down we got a classic kids cheese pie and the white album and both were amazing. Will definitely be back for more next time we make the trip back up.“

“We have been coming to this place ever since it open. The owner, Steve, always remembers us. It is awesome. Food is great. It is the best pizza we’ve ever had and we know a lot about pizza! Every time We are in Brooklyn, we make a point to stop by. Just awesome place with great decoration. Definitely on top of our list! You won’t be disappointed.“

“Great spot. I got a traditional NY round slice and a Vodka Sauce square slice.
The traditional NY round slice was seriously amazing. I loved it! The best slice I had while in NYC. Not joking. The Vodka square was really good too.
If you wait in line to go to Lucali, pop over here before or after and you won’t be disappointed. It is like a block away“

“Such a magical little respite near red hook! We loved the eggplant appetizer and margarita pizza. The white pizzas were also delicious but quite heavy(maybe lacked some acid / brightness? but I think it’s just a flavor preference thing). Can’t wait to go back and try more of the red sauce pies!“

“This restaurant is the best place for neapolitan pizza outside Italy! Ordered the bee sting pizza Margherita with spicy honey and prosciutto. It was delicious and the first time in a long while that I've consumed an entire 14 inch pizza by myself in a single setting! Of course it helped that I washed it down with a tall glass of Three's local brew pilsner. The service says friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal.“

“A lovely little spot in Clinton Hill, the original Emily's pizza is always buzzing with young adults and families in the neighborhood. It's small, but intimate and they do have some outdoor seating for those warmer months. I got the Vivrant and Breydan pizzas with the Ceasear salad and everything was very good and affordable for a party of 2. We also had the "off the menu" banana pudding and it was SO GOOD. I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommend for a causal dinner spot that never disappoints.“

“One of my favorite places in the city for some proper Italian pizza pie. A nice neopolitan style thin crust, with fresh mozzarella and delicious marinara sauce. The atmosphere and service are excellent and this place has just gotten busier since it opened its doors a few years ago. It's in my neighborhood and go in for negroni sbagliato and pizza fix.“

“Solid pizzeria in Bushwick, I enjoyed the sourdough crust on the pies and the Margherita pizza was a delicious Neapolitan slice.
The square pizza wasn’t bad but not worth the price. While the calzone was soggy and stuffed with minimal toppings would not recommend that dish“

“Been going there for 17 years even after I moved out of NY 16 years ago. Always stop in when I visit family and friends twice a year. . Tony is a treasure. His food is wonderful and always have a football match on the TV. This is the only place I eat eggplant parm from. I order two, one to eat there and one for the road.“

“Everything is excellent, the waiters were polite and very attentive. they also gave a free dessert, it was very unexpected but very cool, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the prices were pleasant, one fairly large pizza cost ~$20 and a drink $4“
“Visited the beautiful bar with my husband for a few drinks and the cocktails were expertly crafted by Tony. He's so knowledgeable and manages an amazingly stocked bar - we were pleasantly surprised to see a bottle of La Vieille Prune there, since it comes from a very small town in France! Highly recommend!“

“There are times when it's better than others, but the pasta and pizza consistency keeps me coming back. I've been coming here prior to 2009, so I've seen the neighborhood change. I've also seen the restaurant flow & in some instances grow with those changes. It's a nice local Italian shop. The thing is, what & how those of us who have been here in good times & lean times don't necessarily feel like we matter anymore. It's about who's "new & shiny". Do I at present still spend money here, sure. Is it as much as before....“

“This is a beautiful place and lovely atmosphere to bring your loved ones or even a night out with friends. I really like the staff. I came for a birthday and everyone was accommodating and I felt like a Queen. Thank you

“The history of this establishment is fraught, but I’m glad they finally gave wizard hat pizza a home.
The Funghi Bianci is panty-dropping. Lemon zest? Have my first born child.
My only critique is that in the transition we have lost the vegan Caesar. It was a fabled neighborhood legend loved by vegetarians and omnivores alike. I plead with the establishment to bring it back.
Other shout outs go to Natalie, Chauncey and Brandon.“

“Our favorite pizza place in all of NYC (maybe the world), exceptional service, unbelievably tasty pizza, great beer selection. Try the montak IPA with your pizza, and follow it up with their delicious tiramisu desert, you won't regret it.“

“A small spot with a few seats. Pizza is pretty good. I go here maybe twice a month. Gotta get you a meat lovers or the garlic pin wheels. A little pricey for pizza BUT I also remember when pizza was a $1 so I still haven't quite let that go 😅.“

“This spot not only has incredible pizza and an authentic Italian vibe, the owners are extremely friendly and are willing to talk about the history of the establishment!

“The food is spectacular, of course, but the service is equally spectacular. They are courteous and friendly - Michael went to a great deal of trouble to ensure our order was delivered in time for a "big" birthday. Five stars plus!“
“Our first time at Spumoni Gardens. Best Sicilian pizza I have ever had! I enjoyed the cheese on top of the dough and then the sauce on top of the cheese. Excellent flavor sauce. Outstanding dough and cheese. Spumoni was delicious. One small is enough for two people. Definitely will come back!“

“Just a perfect local cafe. Beautiful, tasty food, good coffee, plenty of space, multiple vibes under one roof (all quiet, but not fussy; there's a back garden, some small tables and a coffee bar in front, and high tops in the back); clean restroom; and a pretty effortless flow between quiet and busy, which you can work right through without being disturbed. :)
Food and drink are a TAD pricey, but I'm from Flatbush and this is Park Slope, sooooooo ?
Definitely check it out!
Kid-friendliness: My kid loves it - ESPECIALLY the pizza and the chocolate gelato, which is unbelievably rich without being heavy! (She did see a bee in the back garden and she didn't love that - but, y'know, that's the risk of being outside.) ?“

“Is it some of the best pizza out there in Greenpoint? Yes
Do I feel like I could get more service at $80 for 2 pizzas and a glass of wine? Also yes
Listen, this place is a great spot for a casual night out or something more romantic. They have a cosy little spot on the corner of the street thats not too busy with traffic and the pizzas are to die for. But, what happened to the service? If I’m paying these prices I don’t expect to make my order up at the window and pick up the pizzas myself, right? Tipping 20% or more feels a bit weird at that point…
Hope they can change that. Besides that, highly recommended.“

“Let me start by saying this place came HIGHLY recommended! Of course I had to try the world renowned oxtail slice. I was a bit hesitant because who puts oxtail on a slice of pizza. But babyyy let me tell you. It's worth the hype. The store manager is also extremely nice, professional and has a great presence. Truly the entire staff were wholesome but the Manager Z 10/10 just like the slices! I'd highly recommend the pizza. My friend had the shrimp slice and can't stop talking about it. I also had chicken/turkey bacon slice. Delicious. Also the slices are really filling. Worth every penny.“

“Outrageously good.
This sheepshead community staple is an essential NYC pizza spot. While L’Industrie and Scarr’s get most of the love, Lucia is right there if not better. They are slinging creative and classic pies— poblano & mushroom, vodka sauce, pepperoni/pickled chilis/hot honey, clam pies— all are fantastic.
I wish I had taken a picture of the dry aged beef burger (weekends only), but I ate it too fast. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had at a restaurant. They didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked, just brought out a perfectly seasoned, perfectly medium patty with a great sear. Topped with melty cheese and caramelized onions, I inhaled it, I may have to get it every time I come now. Needless to say, I’ll be back.“

“This is exactly how NY pizza is supposed to taste. Just like the past. It’s what I want my neighbors in NJ and friends in other states who’ve never had NYC pizza to taste. I’d bring my neighbors some, but I’m sure they ask for it more often.“

“Was in the search for late night post-dinner pizza and this really fulfilled that.
There are a good amount of options, which was lovely. I also appreciated that the single slice options (vs the personal pie options) are square, as I love a good square piece. We went with three: Hawaiian, white pizza, and pepperoni.
The first two we chose and were super pleased with (the third we let the cashier chose and we weren't as thrilled with). The crust, especially at the end, is substantial. The cheese is delicious. And the flavoring for the first two was excellent. We didn't love the pepperoni, as this was a bit salty.
The restaurant itself is interesting. There are some indoor/outdoor spots to sit in. However, there is a window to specifically order to go pizza which I think is a necessity for the area. Took about 10 minutes for the slices to be made and then we easily walked away, which is a nice conclusion to any night in the area!“

“Pizza was ok. Had a red sauce prosciutto pizza. What’s really the best thing about this place is their outdoor seating during the the summer and their $10 aperol spritz drinks when the weather is nice. They have tons of umbrellas for shade and the trees that they have next to the place are growing in nicely that will eventually be great for more cover in the future.“

“I am obsessed with this place. I’d gatekeep it if I could but it seems that other people already know about it. I live for their brunch menu and their dinner menu. “Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! Staff was exceptional and even served me outside through the window because I had a stroller. The pizza itself was a fit doughy but filling nonetheless. The star of the show in my opinion, was the pistachio olive oil drizzle salt soft serve.“

“Good vegan pizza. A variety of them. Tried the curly fries today. Nom nom. Many sauces to choose from. The "blew cheese" wasn't very bleu cheesy, but it was good; just don't expect that "moldy french cheese" flavor. And the workers there are friendly. Outdoor seating only (facing the wrought iron fence overlooking the church across thee street) now during Covid. Go for the vegan pizza. Sit if you want. Indoor seating will probably resume when the world settles in post-covid.“

“This pie did not disappoint. Greeted right when we entered the shop and asked if we had any questions. Easy access to the menu through a QR code. We went with a traditional cheese pie and were quoted 20 minutes as it’s a fresh made to order pie and had a moderate amount of orders ahead of us. Pie was ready as quoted and man oh man did it deliver a flavor bomb upon the first bite. It didn’t burn my mouth but was definitely hot and delicious. The crust was absolute perfection. Not too chewy! Flaky and light yet didn’t fold over when picked up! Sauce was simple and balanced out by the cheese blend and touch of oil. Nice fresh basil trimmed on top before boxing was a flavorful addition as well. I didn’t want that first piece to end. Could not recommend more!“

“The pizza at Ogliastro is phenomenal. The ambiance is, somehow, even better. We’ve been a few times but on our last visit we got to witness two warring tables of Prospect Heightsians very vocally confront each other across the beautiful backyard. It seemed like one person was not thrilled with the admittedly earsplitting hijinks of a cadre of toddlers and decided to stand up and give their parents a very loud lecture on how they need to control their kids. Not the method of delivering that message I would have chosen but here we are. The backyard went totally silent. The families got up to leave but not before firing back. There was a tense back and forth that ended with the final dad of the group declaring “You should be ASHAMED of yourself” as he marched out. Other tables at this point had started to murmur their opinions. It was dinner and a petty, totally entertaining show. I mean it completely seriously when I say that it made my boyfriend and my weekend. Go for the black garlic pizza, and the great service, stay for the community dramz.“
