“This place really lived up to the hype - all the food was fantastic esp the ricotta crostina, meatballs, rigatoni, and the rice balls, but everything was above average. Additionally service was great, and very lively fun atmosphere, plus it was really warm given how cold its been recently. All and all i think its a great place to take a group of 8 or more for reasonably priced italian food that has above average taste. I will definitely be back.“

“Honestly, a stunning gem of a neighborhood restaurant. I loved their beet salad with dates, the dates were so soft and juicy. The pork chop was very good, but just a little bit dry for my taste. The desserts were smashingly good, we had the olive oil cake with cream in a prune sauce, as well as the coffee mousse. Would highly recommend!“

“Everything was great, and appreciated the friendly service. Highly recommend checking this place out.
+ Fires of Vesuvius was our favorite cocktail. Strong flavor and great spice level.
+ Enjoyed the crudo. It was light and fresh, packed with flavor.
+ Monkey bread seems popular, so I don't have much to add. I will say, it was larger than expected and pretty filling!
+ Definitely preferred the riggies over the rotalini. I just don't think we had the palate for the broccoli rabe.
+ Panna cotta had three or four layers, so satisfying to take a spoonful.
+ Baba-yaki was interesting. Great texture, and fun to eat. I don't think I ever tried amaro. It was definitely an adjustment.
Overall, it was a lovely and creative experience, with lots of little surprises throughout the evening.“

“The spinach mascarpone pasta was 10/10 the flavor was incredible! I would actually skip the ricotta toast- I wasn’t impressed. The rest was good, the squash pasta was another standout.
We were a tad rushed for a table of four, the rest of the pastas were OK (Ragu was a tad salty), good wine selection and cocktails were delicious all in all, 3.5-4/5!“

“I had dinner by myself a few weeks ago (a spur of the moment decision) and was so delighted to have found Cremini’s! The owner was super welcoming, the squid ink pasta was packed with umami and flavor, and La Dolce Vita was playing in the background. It felt super intimate and cozy. I also learned the plants hanging from the ceiling are REAL!!
Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes on the menu!“

“Lived nearby when this unassuming place opened and we were very impressed. Excellent food and very professional service each time we went which became often. Not surprisingly this great restaurant has outlasted its notable nearby neighboring spots. We always felt welcome and got good value for the money. Now I wanna go back soon!“

“Went last night for St. Valentine’s day, I must confess I ended up here by mistake, my reservation was in another restaurant across the street, but for some unknown reason I came here and it was amazing, my only regret was not being here before… Food was beyond amazing, the lasagna is a MUST! I have never had something like that before, would love to go back again.
I would think that on a busy day like this, service/food might not be the best, but they proved me wrong, staff was very nice, they didn’t take forever with our food, music was nice too.
Can’t wait to go and try the brunch one of these days…
PS: I tried the cucumber drink, which is alcohol free and it was also very good, the olive oil cake since the tiramisu had finished,it wasn’t bad but I bet they have better options for desserts.“

We sat at the bar and enjoyed our conversation with her along with some of the specials and recommendations for the night. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, so delicious and comforting. Highly recommend the lasagna. A lovely spot, so happy we finally got to try. Will be back soon!“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Will be back to Brooklyn and will definitely come back.“

“It was such a treat to dine at Roman's in mid-October. I came on a rainy night, and the soft glow inside was inviting and warm. All of the food was delightful to the senses and DELICIOUS.
It would be hard to pick a favorite thing from the menu, since it was all so good (and since their menu updates all the time), but my table couldn't stop eating the Fava Bean Puree. All hail Chef Hannah and her team!
Not for nothing, it's also really nice to support an establishment that's committed to making the industry more sustainable for all who work in it.
Thank you so much for a wonderful special occasion dinner--I hope to return!“

“Went for a casual dinner at the bar after the movies. For a fancier experience I’d say book a table. The potatoes and spicy vodka were SO GOOD. Very simple meals done perfectly. Have tried to recreate the potatoes at home unsuccessfully. Will be back!“

“Barbalu offers great dishes served impressively fast. I’ve tried many of their saucy pasta plates and Italian wines, and I’ve loved every single one. The service — as you can tell — is quick, and the place is almost always packed.
I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time to secure a good spot and enjoy the experience without the wait!“

Staff was friendly and wonderful, and cocktails were top tier.(Loved the Terina Basil) From the food to the warm hospitality and the elegant designs. “Siamo stati lì circa 10 giorni fa, é stata una bellissima esperienza mangiare un piatto tipico Barese, i panzeortti, dall'altra parte del mondo. Sento di mettere 5 stelle sia per il cibo, per la location ma soprattutto per Pasquale e Vittoria (mia compaesana Bitontina) che hanno accolto me e la mia famiglia facendoci sentire a casa. Torneremo sicuramente a trovarvi. Complementi ancora. Un saluto da Bitonto“

“We don't get over to this part of the neighborhood often, but I would go out of my way to return to Briscola. Our pastas were full of flavor and unexpected complexity, and the service was really upbeat and charming. Bonus points for the dessert cart! Sophisticated enough for grown-ups but also worked for our 4 year old. Now can you tell us more about the namesake card game?“

“Aita is exactly what you want in a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The food is incredible, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is intimate and beautiful. They have bar seating and table seating. We used to order the oxtail ravioli for delivery and finally came to the actual restaurant- so worth it!! The bread basket with olives was so good- a super chewy and yummy sourdough with a light and fluffy seasoned focaccia. The burrata had tons of amazing flavors all combining to be such a delicious bite. The oxtail ravioli was perfection as always: it literally melts in your mouth (get the fresh parmesan shredded on it table side, it really takes it up a notch!). The tiramisu was classic and lovely with a great cup of espresso to end the evening. We couldn’t have had better service and we can’t wait to come back!“

“Prospect Park is a fantastic urban escape! The paths are scenic and well-maintained, the lake area is peaceful for walks or renting boats, and there are plenty of playgrounds and open spaces for kids. Loved the picnic areas, dog runs (very dog-friendly), and the variety—zoo, carousel, Audubon Center, and even some quiet wooded trails. Restrooms are decent and spread out. Only downside: it gets very crowded on nice weekends, and some areas could use a little more upkeep. Still, one of the best parks in NYC—highly recommend!“

“Very small location and it's communal seating, but the food was great. Started with the Chef choice for the appetizer, good cheese, and pickled veggies. Then I ordered the Chicken over arugula and mushrooms. Great taste and good seasoning om the chicken. Just know the place is crowded but is still worth going for Dinner.“

“Exciting news… Felice is now open for lunch Tuesday through Friday. Filice is our place to go for intimate, dinners, family, celebrations, and connecting with friends. They serve totally delicious food beautifully presented. They have amazing staff that goes the extra mile. They have charming ambience making it our favorite restaurant. All this and now they are open for lunch.“
“This restaurant has alot of charm and if I lived nearby I'd make it a regular go to. Is it worth coming from Manhattan for? Yes and no. The happy hour is great. $10 glasses of good wine. $14 martinis. A $7 happy hour charcuterie plate was also a nice nibble with the happy hour drinks . The arugula salad was delicious as was the eggplant parmesan. Very good tiramisu. But is it on the level of the finest Italians in nyc. Not quite. It's good and I would return. But it's not Da Toscano or Via Carota. BTW the waiters are true Italians and quite charming. It's also a good pre Barclay spot.“

“I have enjoyed eating at Aurora many times since 2010 with my wife, friends and family. The food and service is always consistently good. But when I went this week, I found myself disappointed that they did not serve bread. The waiter told be they do not do it anymore with no explanation. It may be a small thing, but it was significant for me.“
“Being able to sit outside and try a new place and Barbuto came to mind.
We were able to try the pizza and burger.
The pizza cheese was delicious. As you see it’s enough for two people. But also enough for one person who just ran to eat alone lol.
The burger was delicious. I didn’t add anything to it such as an avocado or egg. It was medium with the u sauce. A strong good burger altogether.“

“I was there with my colleagues Monday, November 10. We were at the nearby Signal Awards where our podcast received a Bronze prize for our podcast about Italian food, “I Wish I Were a Prosciutto.” We were hungry and looking for something with prosciutto. We had your most delicious pizza with prosciutto and arugula. The crust was Neapolitan perfection and the toppings were bursting with flavor. We were also impressed with the good-as-Nona’s meatballs. The service was outstanding and we appreciated meeting Gloria de la Rosa. You made our special night more special. We live in Connecticut, but we would come back again when we are in Brooklyn, tell our NYC friends about your place, and talk about it on our podcast. We wish you continued success! Thank you so much.“
