“Honestly, a stunning gem of a neighborhood restaurant. I loved their beet salad with dates, the dates were so soft and juicy. The pork chop was very good, but just a little bit dry for my taste. The desserts were smashingly good, we had the olive oil cake with cream in a prune sauce, as well as the coffee mousse. Would highly recommend!“

+ Fires of Vesuvius was our favorite cocktail. Strong flavor and great spice level.
+ Enjoyed the crudo. It was light and fresh, packed with flavor.
+ Monkey bread seems popular, so I don't have much to add. I will say, it was larger than expected and pretty filling!
+ Definitely preferred the riggies over the rotalini. I just don't think we had the palate for the broccoli rabe.
+ Panna cotta had three or four layers, so satisfying to take a spoonful.
+ Baba-yaki was interesting. Great texture, and fun to eat. I don't think I ever tried amaro. It was definitely an adjustment.

Overall, it was a lovely and creative experience, with lots of little surprises throughout the evening.“

“Went last night for St. Valentine’s day, I must confess I ended up here by mistake, my reservation was in another restaurant across the street, but for some unknown reason I came here and it was amazing, my only regret was not being here before… Food was beyond amazing, the lasagna is a MUST! I have never had something like that before, would love to go back again.

I would think that on a busy day like this, service/food might not be the best, but they proved me wrong, staff was very nice,they didn’t take forever with our food, music was nice too.

Can’t wait to go and try the brunch one of these days…

“Bar Mario has been on our list for a while. Glad we got to step in. The staff were super warm and welcoming, especially Natalie!! We sat at the bar and enjoyed our conversation with her along with some of the specials and recommendations for the night. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, so delicious and comforting. “First time at Misi and couldn't have asked for more. Both the appetizers and pastas were excellent - had a hard time choosing my favorites. For our first course we had grilled artichokes, white asparagus, and peppers with ricotta toast. All were simply prepared but seasonal and delicious. Pastas included spinach tortelli (very rich but tasty), fettuccine (perfection), bucatini with njuda (my favorite of the bunch), and gnocchi with sausage (meaty, fennel-y, and oh so satisfying). All the pastas were different but equally divine. Cocktails and gelato were great too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top quality Italian pastas and appetizers that are seasonal, fresh, and simply prepared but deeply comforting.“

“Dinner at old-school, red sauce joint, Bamonte in Williamsburg, one of the oldest restaurants in Brooklyn.

We are so glad we went early; this place is a scene! When we left at 9, there was not an empty table or seat at the bar. They still have a cigarette machine at the bar + two phone booths.

After cocktails, we had eggplant rollatini, chicken parm and pork chops with vinegar peppers, finishing dinner with Amaro Averna. The food was good; the service, outstanding.

And as a bonus, Kevin Kane from Law & Order SVU was dining there too!“

A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. “It was such a treat to dine at Roman's in mid-October. I came on a rainy night, and the soft glow inside was inviting and warm. All of the food was delightful to the senses and DELICIOUS.

It would be hard to pick a favorite thing from the menu, since it was all so good (and since their menu updates all the time), but my table couldn't stop eating the Fava Bean Puree. All hail Chef Hannah and her team!

Not for nothing, it's also really nice to support an establishment that's committed to making the industry more sustainable for all who work in it.

“Barbalu was a pleasant surprise, walked in with about 30 minutes to close and we were able to get seated. The food was hot and fresh and delicious, we had three dishes to sausage and peppers pasta, the fresh cavatelli with mushroom as well as the fresh pappardelle with Ragu. Then I ordered the Chicken over arugula and mushrooms. Great taste and good seasoning om the chicken. Just know the place is crowded but is still worth going for Dinner.“

The arugula salad was delicious as was the eggplant parmesan. Very good tiramisu. But is it on the level of the finest Italians in nyc. Not quite. It's good and I would return.
