I had been wanting to go here for years and finally had the chance when I was visiting from the California at the end of April last year. The atmosphere is one of a kind, the food was fantastic, and the service from Lou was great. We ordered the baked clams (delicious!) and shared the baked ziti and veal parm. He offered to bring out the veal cut into the three pieces which we appreciated.

I grew up going to sams restaurant till the day we moved out of Brooklyn, had the pleasure also of being childhood friends with Lou the present owner now.Place was always a favorite of mine and on occasion I always look to stop in and reminisce with Lou and enjoy food and drinks.Last 2 visits the place has been closed.Hopefully to open again ,if not ,best luck to Lou.The place will be missed by many.
