“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. “My husband and I were visiting our daughter in Carroll Gardens, and she took us to one of her favorite neighborhood spots, F&F Restaurant and Bar. The place was packed with locals enjoying great food and drinks, so we knew we were in for a treat!
We ordered the pepperoni “pie,” rigatoni with vodka sauce — seriously, one of the best vodka sauces I’ve ever had — burrata with tomatoes, and tuna crudo. Everything was absolutely delicious. What a fantastic dinner!
We loved it so much we wanted to go back the very next day, but we already had reservations somewhere else. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Carroll Gardens!“

“I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. “When the lights dim in Liar Lair you know you are in for a great night. The waitress, had a boundless familiarity with the wine list, which made each spore delicious than the last. The tunes soothed me into a sense of security that I hadn't felt since my bathroom trip that very night, which was accompanied by an old timey crackling radio which only added to the washrooms ambience.

Small things make a big difference. And Liar Lair has the small things down to a tee.

“We had an awesome experience here and it was a great chance to use the Chase Sapphire Reserve open table. $150 credit you get. We made a reservation in advance through open table, which was easy. The table was waiting for us when we arrived. Very cool nautical classy vibe on the inside. Our server Nyah was literally perfect. She was so chill and took incredible care of us. The second our water or wine was low, without us even having to think about it, she was suddenly refilling and all the food came out steadily and was melt-in-your-mouth absolutely delicious. We had a lovely experience, great location, and on a Saturday evening in Brooklyn the vibe was on

One pro tip here: they have an incredible house white wine and it's literally $45 for a bottle. Unheard of at a New York City restaurant and such a breath of fresh air. It was absolutely delicious on a summer evening and three friends were able to share it and get a lovely buzz without going overboard. “Always love this spot. Had my birthday dinner here for ~22 people and they were awesome start to finish. Super helpful picking out menu, drinks, etc. The staff and space are both amazing. All of the food is delicious and the drinks are fun. The boozy affogatos are out of this world. Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had and how good the pizza was. Can never go wrong with Bar Birba! Perfect date night spot as well.“

A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. This place is honestly one of my go-to's whenever I'm not totally sure what I'm in the mood for but I know I want something really good, and they never, ever let me down. Their wine list is solid too. The staff are always super friendly and on top of things. Everything comes out perfectly seasoned and the portions are seriously generous.

My usual order is the chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad and fries on the side. You can't go wrong with it.“

“I went here on the last day of a week long trip to New York, I ate in many places during my time but this restaurant was by far my favourite.

The intimate counter seating allows you to get really close to the chef and the other staff while they cook so you can really see the artistry. They were also very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had while also being really engaging during the whole tasting menu.

The food itself is top quality, high grade ingredients prepared to a very high standard. Up there with one of the best tasting menus I’ve experienced.

The area around the restaurant is also very beautiful, with a riverside view of the city skyline within a few minutes walk.

“Is Greenpoint Brooklyn & Queens?

It’s hard for me to make friends. I’m still learning how to socialize. I’ve been watching monkey videos to understand human behavior.

I’m exploring the community through the scope of a pedestrian.

Greenpoint it’s an escape destination. Still has the charm of small neighborhood Queens & just far enough from the manufactured hipster thing.

I ended up paying for my last ride but the point of the bike Angels game is to end in a net positive ride. It’s the same theory as counting calories when dieting. But you want to be dropping off bikes where they are needed to balance the system.

It’s based on a branch of mathematics called game theory. I have adhd and have been trying to learn machine learning on YouTube.“

“I love going to Bushwick to try new bars and rooftops, and this one was no exception. This was actually my second time here, and I really enjoy their wine list. The happy hour is also great, and the rooftop itself is one of my favorite parts.

“We hosted my daughter’s first birthday at Commune (note that they only do kids parties up to 1 year old, but it was ideal for us since we had mostly adults and only a few kids). I’d been there many times for happy hours, but never hosted an event there. Their team was a dream to work with! I met with Tiffany to go over options when my previous venue bailed due to capacity issues. She was so responsive and organized, and she really put me at ease considering we were only 3 weeks out!

The space is beautiful and fit our 80 person guest count well (good weather helped, so we were able to use the outdoor patio). Dean and Manny helped us set up and make the best use of the space. My guests enjoyed the food, and as usual the drink selection was excellent. Their staff was communicative throughout, ensuring I didn’t go over my bar tab and my guests had a good time.

The whole place is a vibe, and I can’t recommend it enough for hosting an event! Everyone was very impressed and we looked like the consummate hosts :)“
