I was emotionally boycotting the new menu because I loved Prime Meats. While I'll forever miss the pretzel and mustard, charcuterie platter, french fries and wursts and pickles, the new place has the same combination of new and reliable. I was delighted to see that your café offers real, reusable mugs for customers who are staying to enjoy their drinks. I also love that you do not serve plastic bottled water, and offer composting infrastructure to those who want to participate!

That said, I noticed a lot of customers staying to work or read seemingly did not know to ask for the reusable option. Perhaps there are ways you can build that into the ordering routine, to ask folks if they want to have their drink to stay?

By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, so it means a lot to me to see and support businesses that offer circular options to their customers.

Thank you for considering how to better promote the wonderful reusable options that you do have, either in person or on social media, or both!

“This place is very, very special. Having visited a lost count of Omakase counters in NYC, it’s often a real risk choosing a new one, even when you do the research and read a million reviews.

My wife and I took the risk on LUYA when taking a friend to dinner a couple weeks ago and it may have been our biggest surprise in NY dining in at least a few years. There are way too many things praise worthy at this place to list them all so I’ll highlight a few and let the rest speak for itself when you go try it…

- The staff is beyond top tier. Not only are they all friendly, kind, observant and attentive, but they’re also fun to be around! Never intrusive, never annoying, always the right amount of conversation.

- The fish is some of the best, and most outstandingly fresh I’ve ever had anywhere, not just in NY. The sourcing must be incredible because every single piece is truly punching WAY above its class in terms of price, taste, and presentation.

- The natural wine bar and perfectly curated selection of sake and Japanese spirits is such a welcome surprise. The cocktails are wonderful, and the bartender (somm??) is super knowledgeable about everything there.

“I just found this place and now normally go to work from here in the morning and it's very chill. It's nice. They make drinks in real glasses. It's the normal cake, donut, croissant coffeeshop. It's super quiet which is good and clean.“

The indoor space is more intimate and you’re seated very close to other patrons which makes it a bit noisier when the restaurant is busy. Tyler , Thomas, Endo(the owner) always take care of me . It’s been very therapeutic sitting at their counter. “Im a local and have been coming to Bernie’s for some years now and have never left a review which I should have because the good is consistently delicious, served hot and customer service always has been on point.

Last night my reservation for a steakhouse in the city was cancelled so I went to my old faithful. Not a long wait at all and the host periodically checked in as he always does to give me updates and options if I didn’t want to wait for the bar seat. Everything was delicious as usual and the customer next to me was celebrating her birthday I said happy birthday and mentioned it was mines also.

The bartender asked if I wanted dessert and I declined but then she did the sweetest, most thoughtful thing and popped up with ice cream. she’s like you need to blow out a candle today. “We visited Pearl Street for the third time in a year and it somehow keeps getting better. We have always thought it was a great restaurant, but this visit truly stood out. The food was fun, creative, and incredibly tasty, and the service was warm and welcoming.
