“such a cute little brunch spot. classy cocktails and great food. quiche was fantastic and everything on the menu was served impeccably. coffee is bottomless is you get drip. they make some mean cocktails too. anything on the menu is a treat and service is amazing.“
“I wasn’t sure what to expect-but I’mExtremely happy I dined at The Four HorsemanEntering the small establishment you are greeted with a nice doorman/host, who takes you into a small but romantic space. Details were perfect when decorating-from the original floor to the walls and art-mood lighting and light jazz on the speakers, the restaurant is very charming and romantic. The staff is meh-waitress seemed uninterested-some staff were wearing baggy long shirts/jackets that don’t work well in tight spots. As we were a table of two sitting in the middle-every time they walked by their tails of the shirt would hit us and our table. If you’re going to wear a very baggy loose shirt-tuck it in-to prevent this annoyance. No one seemed to be pressed for time-taking orders-fresh drinks-etc. the doorman stated when the next reservation was-as a warning not to linger more than 1.30 hours, but the waitstaff seemed clueless to this as it was she and her absence that kept us there almost 2 hours. Mind you-we were enjoying the wine, food, and conversation so we didn’t mind, except we had show tickets and were almost late. The waitress had an air of royalty attitude- better than us-as we are lucky she would visit our table and take our order. This is how she made me feel.Food is as delicious as beautifully plated. The atmosphere and food stole the show-the staff needs training-I’m not going to remove a star from the review for the staffing issues as the restaurant as a whole-and their food-is stellar. However, staff review is 2 stars.Came back for lunch when I was back in town-;lunch service was much better and the food was delicious, again.Kid-friendliness: Not at all-this is a different caliber restaurant where children should not be.Wheelchair accessibility: None. Not ADA compliant at all“
“Everything was perfection - from their service, to their drinks, to their food. We got the escargot to start, followed by the steak frites, pappardelle, and scallops. Everything was very yummy but the scallops were my favorite, and I will be ordering them again the next time I come!“
“After a hectic day of exploring, my group of friends and I stumbled upon a charming restaurant with a limited number of seats. The cozy setup felt like a gathering in someone's kitchen, creating an intimate space for our lively group. The kitchen's aromatic symphony and the friendly staff set the stage for an enjoyable evening. Knowing that the ingredients were sourced locally added a layer of appreciation to the culinary experience. It was a delightful find that turned a casual dinner into a memorable, homey affair.“
“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“
“I will actually get all hoity toity food reviewer with this place. It was sublime. The thing I won't be able to stress enough is how well every thing I tried had the most perfect balance of flavors. You tasted everything, nothing was overpowering. For starters we had the seminola bread with oil, the broccoli rabe, the tuna and red pepper corsitini and the ricotta and honey crostini. The ricotta and honey crostini is a really strong recommend. For the main dish I had the maltagliati with pork sugo Bianco. The pork was excellent. My kid though, they hit the jackpot. They ordered the cavatelli with hot sausage and brown sage butter and it's literally their favorite pasta dish they've ever had. Which is saying a lot because they've been a fiend for spaghetti and meatballs the majority of their life. Our server Nicholas was an absolute pro. Very attentive and quick. The atmosphere is great. As always though, that star rating is affected by size. It's a tight fit between some of the tables, but the ambiance is wonderful.“
“This was a great find! Beautiful gem of a restaurant tucked away in bedstuy. Food recommendations were really appreciated as well as a nice bottle of red wine to pair with our meal. We will definitely come back and highly recommend. Great date spot!“
“This is easily one of the best dining experiences that I've had in NYC since I moved here eight years ago. Before coming in, I had never had Georgian food before and didn't know what to expect. Every single item was absolutely delicious and the service was even better. I was curious about the amber wine and the server was nice enough to give me a taste before pouring a full glass. Even the Georgian sparkling water was tasty. Not to mention, the actual decor and energy of the restaurant was so great. Everybody in there seemed happy and it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night but still intimate. Before we left, our food was boxed up and we got a handwritten note with our receipt. I'll definitely be back sooner than later!“
“Their aged burger is a flavor-packed delight, while the Eggs and Mayonnaise dish offers a unique twist on a classic. And don't miss their comforting fish pie. With cozy ambiance and attentive service, it's a dining experience you won't forget!“
“The best Spanish food restaurant in NY, at the level of the tops in Barcelona and Madrid. Excellent quality, excellent wines. The unbeatable treatment. The atmosphere very pleasant. We will repeat soon to be able to dine in that pleasant garden...“
“Got there at 6 on a Thursday, waited 2 hours for a table for 2. Mozzarella sticks and ribs were amazing. Wings, burger, and ice cream sundae were fine. Service was great, and I loved the atmosphere, it was loud as hell so some people may not like that but I have no issue.“
“I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. I look forward to returning to Leland Eating and Drinking House to explore more of their enticing menu offerings! 10 star review!!!“
“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, it surpassed my expectations. The food and service were exceptional! I particularly enjoyed the Hiramasa Crudo, Raviolo al Uovo, and the Pistachio Creme Brulee. Highly recommend trying the wine pairings and dessert wine as they perfectly complemented the dishes. The cocktails were fantastic too! The ambiance of the restaurant is trendy which adds to the overall charm and experience. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. Hottest place in Dumbo!“
“Favorite restaurant, delicious food, sublime wine, amazing chefs Robbie & Sam , friendly and welcoming owners, Clement & Simone go above and beyond to make your experience of their gem of a restaurant simply the best! Love this treasure in our neighborhood, make your reservation and try as much as you can on the menu, every mouthful is just wonderful!!“
“Absolutely great food and its presentation amazing. The views, ambience and live piano music wonderful! The service was impeccable. I am a true New Yorker and difficult to please - I am not a tourist - and this is definitely a 5 star must experience restaurant. Thank you The River Cafe for making our dinner truly special and memorable!“
“This is a new level of service & food for 5th Ave. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible, atmosphere is cozy, clean, classy. . The staff is wonderful, the drinks are delicious & made with love by Rafael. Food is 5 ⭐️. Oysters are fresh, crab cake perfectly paired w/ a light salad, Brussels amazing in a sweet and spicy sauce, high quality steak.“
“Stopped by for aperitivo hour. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us out with selections. The cauliflower bites were so good, and the homemade focaccia was so fresh and soft, I highly recommend! We also ordered the burrata that went great with the focaccia.“
“I wanted to come to Ammazzacaffe for a while. One of my friend told me that they have a great wine list and authentic Italian food. Last night was a good day to go so because of they have a limit of seats I made a reservation before I go. I have a glass of Toscana Rosso and because it is happy hour I get two for one. That is awesome! I order pasta so I only have Sea Trout Tartare as an appetizer. I love that they make it sour and taste so delicious. Quadrotti and Reginette are very good and perfect cooked pasta. Service is nice and friendly. I enjoy so much of this meal. I will probably come back when the weather is warmer.“
“Enjoyed this friendly, classy, modern European brasserie whilst staying nearby in Greenpoint. Burrata and pasta were the highlights combined with a local IPA from a micro-brewer just down the street. Warm and friendly service from the team, but relaxed and casual. Great job guys!“
“The staff is professional and friendly. Their vegan dishes are beautifully prepared, spiced to perfection and taste delicious. The vegan burger is the best that I have had and better than many beef burgers. The vegan chocolate chip cookie is hands down the best on the city.“
“No indoor dining because Covid They have taken great care of making a lot of available tables and even have some enclosed outdoor booths. The use of space is pretty amazing and well adapted to the neighborhood They neighborhood is great I saw the prettiest dogs in Brooklyn all walking in full force The place has a friendly family-type vibe Th coworkers are all friendly with each other and warm to their clientele The food is impeccably well prepared, tasty and quite authentically Italian I doubt one could find anything more authentic with such fine ingredients and creatively presented anywhere other than Italy. If you do, let it be known and I’m sure the staff here would feel the kindred spirit of another fine cuisine It’s in the medium-high priced category but it lives up to the prices in its quality Wait staff is genuine and kind and do make a great effort to make one comfortable and enjoy their meal Highly recommend“
“Cocktails are incredible. Service is unmatched. Space is gorgeous. And yes, their employees are paid fairly. I own a cocktail bar in the neighborhood and know that someone has targeted them (along with their friends) with a series of unfair reviews. Ironically, they seem to not realize how this affects a business and in turn how much money is made by those who work at said business. I do not believe that recent bad reviews have been made in good faith. Anyone who’s been here knows it’s fantastic :)“
“Loveee the vibe! Very cute/casual, great if you're looking for a chill spot to grab some drinks and chat with friends. The music was perfect and definitely set the right tone. As soon a we grabbed spot at the bar, the staff gave us water and took our orders right away. Service was great throughout the rest of the night. Everything is fairly priced and the bar snacks are what you'd expect. Excited to come back during the summer for the outdoor patio!“
“Good food, good wine! Everything here is really fantastic. It's some of the best pasta I've ever had. I seriously have to question how Franklin Ave has such an outstanding restaurant, but I'm sure glad it does. They're even family friendly and did a spaghetti with butter sauce for my picky 3-year-old. The process are reasonable too, just beware that they do add a 20% gratuity automatically if there are 5 or more people in your party, which annoyed me quite a bit after tipping an additional 20% and not realizing it until after the fact.“
“I go here about once a month with my partner and we love it! He has this Oregon red wine that is unbelievably fruity and rich. The atmosphere is elegant and Tyrone the owner is probably the most knowledgeable sommelier out here. Highly recommend!“
“If you haven’t been to Ruthie’s lately, do yourself a favor and go. The menu has been tweaked to spectacular effect. The drinks are perfectly executed and delicious. The gem and chicory salad is so good I want to marry it. The rice and crab is tender and spicy and the burger was probably the best burger I’ve had in forever, and I am no pushover. Run don’t walk.“
“Absolutely love stopping here. The staff are sweet, helpful, and timely. The oysters are fresh and delicious. Definitely get yourself the Mac and cheese and ricotta dip to share bc they are delightful! Great place if you’re looking for a light tasty meal and a proper glass of wine.“
“Came here twice since we like the vibe so much. Excelent Italian spot around the area, if a bit on the expensive side. The best dish by far has been the Pappardelle with Boar Ragu. The Rigatoni with Lobster Bisque gets a shout out, as well as the meat and cheese appetizers. We tried the Cacio e Pepe too, and it is good but pales in comparison to the more meaty pasta in my opinion. Can’t miss the Tiramisu and the huge and varied wine selection!“
“Really sweet nail shop. My manicure has lasted more than a week which is unheard of for a conventional manicure for me. Shop is very clean and cute. My only complaint was that the woman who did my nails gave zero massage and applied the color too fast and it bubbled up. Another person fixed it for me and it’s great!“
“Shoutout to Niya for holding down the entire second floor on her own. She made sure we had all of our bottomless drinks and anticipated our orders, while making sure all other tables were ok. Awesome experience I’m always happy comig to Ainsle for brunch.“
“Our go to spot in the neighborhood! The service is great, the food is even better. And don’t sleep on their brunch! They are also great for private events. We hosted a baby shower on their back patio and they couldn’t have been more helping in the planning process! Will definitely host events here in the future.“
“Coziest wine bar ever with the best service. Get here early on the weekends because it's small and gets busy. I've had the brownie, the mussels, oysters, and hummus and all were delicious. I even asked for a non red pairing for the brownie and it paired well lol. Last time I was here I brought a book to read and they made the lighting a little brighter for me. All in all great.“
“Incredible food, friendly staff and proprietor who know their wine list, with a sophisticated yet relaxed space that is perfect whether you are looking for a casual Friday night dinner date or a special occasion. And they are amazing caterers too-got raves for the Otway team’s menu and service at our Christmas party!“
“This is not a restaurant, it’s a sanctuary … people gather here to nourish themselves with cuisine that stays consistent in its fresh approach to brilliance yet reinvents itself, the ambiance creates for genuine connection among patrons & the sister & brother team who maintain the vision of their concept are some of the kindest most welcoming people i’ve ever met. I’m grateful for the day I found the Lighthouse, or did the Lighthouse find me? ? Either way thank you for providing for me a place in New York that always feels like home.“
“Have now visited several times and have to acknowledge the quality work that this bar does at being an unpretentious place to enjoy a good beer at the end of the day. The selection is truly world class and the service is always helpful, kind and ridiculously knowledgeable.Grateful a place like this is available for folks who want a relaxed place to grab a drink at the end of a long day. Can't recommend Queue enough“
“First time visiting, and it was an amazing experience. The food was great, but not the best I’ve had. The chicken was pretty good, but it could’ve been a bit crispier and a little less seasoned. The Potatoes were AMAZING!We went for a friends birthday and did family style dinner which was a great experience. The service was A1 our waitress tended to all our needs and was within arms reach whenever needed. The atmosphere was great. It took about 10 minutes to be seated, there were an influx of people. I had an amazing time hereVegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options available.“
“Great HH option in BK! $1 oysters, small but tasty. Drinks also strong and affordable option to get a nice snack and drink in. The atmosphere/vibe is great too.. there is a back patio and even seating out front. Came in as a walk-in right around 645pm to squeeze in HH and got seating right at the bar.“
“Love this place so much! I used to go all the time before the pandemic when I lived in Brooklyn, and recently went again and remembered why I used to love it. The ambiance is so cozy, there's a fireplace inside and it's dark with lots of candles. It's also one of the few places you can walk in to before or after dinner on a Friday night. They have a small outdoor patio in the front with a handful of seats and a bonfire. The service is attentive and you can stay for as little or as long as you want. I've tried a handful of their small plates before too and everything was great! You may be able to make a dinner out of it if you order a few things too!“
“I love this place. You walk in and you feel at home. So glad this neighborhood got a resto/bar that has interesting wine, a solid menu that changes often but keeps the best, and plays good music without being over the top. Go for the wine, stay for the pasta and cheesecake. I’ve been multiple times since they opened and every time is better than the last. A local gem. See eaten cheesecake. It’s beyond. Also staff is normal people who have interesting things to say. People you’d want to be friends with. Support them now Brooklyn!.“
“Got the cauliflower sandwich, the special hot chicken sandwich and the crispy potatoes. They were all really good and delicious. The chicken was crispy (wish it was a tad spicier), the cauliflower sandwich is amazing and my favorite thing from here (as a meat eater), and the crispy potatoes are always just solidly good. The ambiance though was a little chaotic feeling. I felt really claustrophobic in there, as if everyone around me was just a bit too* close together. The table arrangement felt strange. I get wanting to maximize seating but one table was in such a weird tight corner, one by where everyone walked by to the bathroom, and one had a plant where someone would be seated by the window? Also there were several 4-seater tables that just had a single person at them just reading or on their phones with a coffee while groups were waiting. I get that it's seat yourself/first come but it felt really inconsiderate as parties of 3 would awkwardly cram into/sideways into a 2 seater table while that was happening. I wouldn't come back to dine in for sure. But the food is delicious so back to take out exclusively for me.“
“Fantastic neighborhood spot. The ambiance is the perfect cozy, intimate, and friendly French restaurant. Every dish my husband and I got were delicious. Pretty reasonable prices as well for the quality of food and flavor! We got the steak tartare to start, the cassoulet, and beef bourginon. The steak tartare was a refreshing starter. The cassoulet was a great cozy dish in a cold night. Great flavor that wasn't too heavy. The beef bourginon was also fantastic. The beef was tender and moist and came with a great, rich sauce. Wine options were great and paired well with dinner. Also loved that the water cups were made from old wine bottles. Very friendly owners and servers!“
“The buttery bar pancakes are something special. A special sweet treat. The pancakes are made with their signature almond + poppyseed blend, cinnamon apples, whipped cream, maple syrup & butter ? They are fire. I rejoiced in every bite, and you should too if you get the opportunity.Vibe is 10/10 if you’re the type of person who enjoys tasteful decor and an 80’s rock and roll kind of sound ???“
“I've felt like I was in a little cafe in Italy in Brooklyn. I was surprised by how delicious and simple the pasta was delicious. The pork golden brown delicious fry was cooked perfectly. That's how you do simple at its finest. The pistachio cake yum is one of those bites you couldn't stop eating “
“A lovely cafe with its unique aesthetics. I had the cafe con leche and their housemade baklava.✨Cafe con leche was kinda like cappuccino with caramelized sugar. Highly recommend this drink!Baklava was slightly soggy at the bottom. But it was ok.“
“I had the BEST experience at Sandy Jack's! They literally have the cheapest drinks and best happy hour deal I've been to. I really don't think there's a cheaper option in all of NYC! On top of that, the bartenders were super sweet and the regulars at the bar taught me how to play pool :) plus it's dog-friendly! Such a fun and welcoming environment overall. Everything you could want in a bar, I can't wait to make this my regular spot!“
“Great food, great beer, great vibes, great prices. Went with a group of 12 and had a blast. The fish and chips were light and delicate yet incredibly crispy. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Huge beer selection at eight dollars a pint, great value and amazing staff.“
“This food was so delicious that 6 months later I am still thinking about it once a week. The fusion was great and I am so pleased it was shown to me by a friend. The restaurant is rather small but does not feel claustrophobic. The service was fantastic, we had a very pleasant waiter. I would suggest making a reservation in advance since seating is limited.“
“Cute little cafe in Park slope on 7th Ave. Classic French bistro food, but light and not over the top menu list like those in Manhattan . It's a neighborhood spot that is casual and caters to the local families. It doesn't try to be fancy, just excellent in being reliable. The soups are fantastic and corque Madame and Eggs Benedict are always a classic go to items. Their crepes batter are exceptionally well balanced in savoriness and sweetness. Highly recommend themThe cocktails are simple and to the point. It's not necessarily a destination spot, but if you are in the area during a weekend walkabout or having a lazy afternoon nearby, you should definitely stop by .Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly , even those who have strollers“
“We are a group of 8 from Queens and Long Island. We ordered the pre-fixe menu. The price was very reasonable and it offered a lot of food. The service was exceptional and the staff made us feel special. The atmosphere and the fine wine made us more comfortable and relaxed. The food was delicious, a special mention to the Bronzino and the Beignets! The restaurant and the experience were definitely worth the drive!“
“I’ve never done a review before, but me and my partner had an amazing time here tonight. Just stopped by to have a couple drinks and a snack before heading home. The server, I’m not sure of his name but he was a server in the front section by the bar Wednesday around 8pm. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the wine list and knew all the details about the food we were served. The food runner ran thru each item on the food. Just incredible service. The server picked a fantastic wine I wouldn’t usually go for. The atmosphere was fire. Food 10/10. Recently moved to the area and we’ll be regulars now. Couldn’t rate this place higher. Oh and I also want to mention my partner called ahead and didn’t catch the host, but they called her back in like 1 minute and managed to squeeze us in. You’re running a tight ship!“
