“For us, the food was hit or miss. Right from the start, the Sardine toast was the star of the night, then there was aRazor clam special, which was 50/50... the clams were great, but we didn't prefer the melon taste to the dressing. After that, we had the mortadella and sourdough. Both were very good. Ate that we had the snap pea salad and the mitake mushrooms with garlic fudge. Again, both were excellent. It was the mains that just fell apart for us. The bucatini had slices of squash on top that were dry, and a bit too much basil, which overpowered the dish. Other than the basil, it was lacking in flavor. The other main was the hake and risotto. While the risotto was heavily citrussed, almost too much so, it was still tasty, but the fish, again, lacked flavor/ seasoning/ salt. Overall, the meal was a 3.5, but we bumped it to a 4, because worth the omission of the mains, it could have been a 4.5-5.“

“Williamsburg was largely unimpressive until I tried this place. I was there for breakfast and their French toast is the best I've ever had so far. Not your typical toast where you pour syrup on top. This bread is perfectly moist and sweet and does not require syrup. There is a creme topping you can pour over that made for the perfect combo. There are so many places that claim best pancakes, best French toast, etc. French toast, here, is a must. Now I want to come back and see about the pancakes. For savory, we got the merguez omlette. I am not a huge sausage (the sausage not pork, might have been beef) fan, but this was really flavorful and I would absolutely order again. I am usually not excited about brunch, but this place does it for me. And, the ambiance is excellent. I love the exposed brick and overall decor. I could not stop commenting on how positive the experience was and how much I want to return. And, I am one of those people where virtually every place is forgettable except the ones that are not. This is my current #1 for breakfast/brunch until further notice. Highly recommend for all occasions (and that you make reservations in advance). Definitely going back soon!“

Our server was very kind and helped us select our wine, and all the servers were fun with great energy.

Only thing my sister left behind were the peppercorns because the steak frites were just that good! Best peppercorn sauce I ever had.

“This is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. As soon as you enter, it feels comfortable and warm. The thoughtfully restored space, with its old world character and open, bright feel, is one of the reasons. The friendly staff is the other. There’s no pretension here.

It’s fantastic, simple food made exceptionally well, with talent and creativity, always using fresh ingredients. Definitely try a salad or two while you’re there. The pizza and fresh pastas are well worth a try as well. I’m vegetarian, so I can’t directly speak for the meat or seafood dishes, but my friends and family have never been disappointed.

I’m a self dubbed tiramisu connoisseur and a loyalist to traditionally made tiramisu, and theirs is tried and true. I also love that the staff have gotten to know me and my family. It gives that extra added touch of a true neighborhood restaurant. It’s always a warm, happy experience, and my family and I have created many memories there.“

With Others Wine Bar • $$$
340 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn

“Just ok. The wine was impeccable, we went with a chilled red that was completely perfect. The food however, was nothing special. It was good, fresh, and well-constructed but the dishes were just overly simple. I know the menu rotates based on who is the chef at that time, but I feel like the menu we got was on the more “meh” side compared to examples I’ve seen.

I would definitely do this place as a wine bar first with some light bites to snack on, but don’t know if I would return specifically for the food program.

ALSO— I found it really obnoxious that they let dogs in the backyard, you never really know who is allergic or what a dog‘s temperament is and either way I just found it really offputting that people were just letting their dogs go up to random patrons during their visit. For a $170 visit I’d hope for more sophistication.“

“★★★★★

After an amazing day party at Superior Ingredients, we wanted somewhere intimate, elevated, and relaxing to unwind before continuing the night — and was the perfect choice.

The atmosphere here is incredible. Dim lighting, beautiful music at the perfect volume, effortlessly stylish crowd, and a warm energy that instantly makes you want to stay longer. The space feels classy and romantic without ever feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the experience.

The wine selection was outstanding. We spent the night exploring multiple imported European wines and loved how curated and unique everything felt. Pair that with the cheese boards and small plates and it becomes one of the best date-night wine spots in Brooklyn.

What really stood out though was the hospitality. The host and entire staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave first-class service from start to finish. You can tell there’s real passion behind the experience they create.

Perfect for romantic dates, intimate conversations, catching up with friends, or just having a more sophisticated night out in Williamsburg. Easily one of the best wine bar experiences we’ve had in NYC and definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to. 🍷✨“

It’s hard for me to make friends. I’m still learning how to socialize. I’ve been watching monkey videos to understand human behavior.

I’m exploring the community through the scope of a pedestrian.

Greenpoint it’s an escape destination. Still has the charm of small neighborhood Queens & just far enough from the manufactured hipster thing.

I ended up paying for my last ride but the point of the bike Angels game is to end in a net positive ride. It’s the same theory as counting calories when dieting. But you want to be dropping off bikes where they are needed to balance the system.

It’s based on a branch of mathematics called game theory. I have adhd and have been trying to learn machine learning on YouTube.“
