“Williamsburg was largely unimpressive until I tried this place. I was there for breakfast and their French toast is the best I've ever had so far. Not your typical toast where you pour syrup on top. This bread is perfectly moist and sweet and does not require syrup. There is a creme topping you can pour over that made for the perfect combo. There are so many places that claim best pancakes, best French toast, etc. French toast, here, is a must. Now I want to come back and see about the pancakes. For savory, we got the merguez omlette. I am not a huge sausage (the sausage not pork, might have been beef) fan, but this was really flavorful and I would absolutely order again. I am usually not excited about brunch, but this place does it for me. And, the ambiance is excellent. I love the exposed brick and overall decor. I could not stop commenting on how positive the experience was and how much I want to return. And, I am one of those people where virtually every place is forgettable except the ones that are not. This is my current #1 for breakfast/brunch until further notice. Highly recommend for all occasions (and that you make reservations in advance). Definitely going back soon!“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“

“Came here hungry around 5pm on a Saturday and was able to snag a booth. Ordered 3 steak frites, broccolini, and a bottle of wine, and left with a happy belly and heart, knowing that I will be back time and time again. Our server was very kind and helped us select our wine, and all the servers were fun with great energy.
Only thing my sister left behind were the peppercorns because the steak frites were just that good! Best peppercorn sauce I ever had.
Discovered this place through a friend who lives in the area and now I just told all my friends!“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. As soon as you enter, it feels comfortable and warm. The thoughtfully restored space, with its old world character and open, bright feel, is one of the reasons. The friendly staff is the other. There’s no pretension here.
It’s fantastic, simple food made exceptionally well, with talent and creativity, always using fresh ingredients. Definitely try a salad or two while you’re there. The pizza and fresh pastas are well worth a try as well. I’m vegetarian, so I can’t directly speak for the meat or seafood dishes, but my friends and family have never been disappointed.
I’m a self dubbed tiramisu connoisseur and a loyalist to traditionally made tiramisu, and theirs is tried and true. I also love that the staff have gotten to know me and my family. It gives that extra added touch of a true neighborhood restaurant. It’s always a warm, happy experience, and my family and I have created many memories there.“

“Delicious food and cocktails“
“Just ok. The wine was impeccable, we went with a chilled red that was completely perfect. The food however, was nothing special. It was good, fresh, and well-constructed but the dishes were just overly simple. I know the menu rotates based on who is the chef at that time, but I feel like the menu we got was on the more “meh” side compared to examples I’ve seen.
I would definitely do this place as a wine bar first with some light bites to snack on, but don’t know if I would return specifically for the food program.
ALSO— I found it really obnoxious that they let dogs in the backyard, you never really know who is allergic or what a dog‘s temperament is and either way I just found it really offputting that people were just letting their dogs go up to random patrons during their visit. For a $170 visit I’d hope for more sophistication.“

“We had an incredible time at this neighborhood wine bar. The ambience is fantastic. The ceiling to floor windows open up so you can sit indoors for the a/c but still feel an occasional summer breeze and watch the sun go down as you nibble and nosh. The service was incredible and it’s clear how much the owner cares about everything from the wine selection, food, to making the spot affordable and welcoming to everyone in the neighborhood. It’s also right off the G/F, so an easy place to meet friends no matter where they are coming from. I can’t wait to return!“

“We had a fantastic brunch at Sailor. I originally considered the French toast but decided to try the Turkish eggs and am so glad that I did. The smoked turkey Reuben was also excellent. The olive oil cake is better than mine and I will definitely alter my recipe. We will visit again.“
“WOW! My friend and I went today and had such a great experience! The staff were so friendly and kind, constantly checking in and chatting with us. The sushi was so delicious with new flavor combinations and the freshest ingredients. I have been to a few other Omakase restaurants in the city and this is definitely going up there on my list. I will DEFINITELY be back.“

“★★★★★
After an amazing day party at Superior Ingredients, we wanted somewhere intimate, elevated, and relaxing to unwind before continuing the night — and was the perfect choice.
The atmosphere here is incredible. Dim lighting, beautiful music at the perfect volume, effortlessly stylish crowd, and a warm energy that instantly makes you want to stay longer. The space feels classy and romantic without ever feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the experience.
The wine selection was outstanding. We spent the night exploring multiple imported European wines and loved how curated and unique everything felt. Pair that with the cheese boards and small plates and it becomes one of the best date-night wine spots in Brooklyn.
What really stood out though was the hospitality. The host and entire staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave first-class service from start to finish. You can tell there’s real passion behind the experience they create.
Perfect for romantic dates, intimate conversations, catching up with friends, or just having a more sophisticated night out in Williamsburg. Easily one of the best wine bar experiences we’ve had in NYC and definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to. 🍷✨“

“I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. I look forward to returning to Leland Eating and Drinking House to explore more of their enticing menu offerings! 10 star review!!!“
“Always love this spot. Had my birthday dinner here for ~22 people and they were awesome start to finish. Super helpful picking out menu, drinks, etc. The staff and space are both amazing. All of the food is delicious and the drinks are fun. The boozy affogatos are out of this world. Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had and how good the pizza was. Can never go wrong with Bar Birba! Perfect date night spot as well.“

“A true gem. The wine selection is outstanding, with thoughtfully chosen bottles and great recommendations that made the experience even more memorable. Beyond that, the hospitality is second to none. The owner is one of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet, and it shows in every detail of the experience. You can feel the passion and care that goes into creating such a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping in for a glass or staying to explore the wine list, this is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend!“

“I took the cooking class last week, I went solo hoping to learn a few new tricks in the kitchen and maybe meet some new people.
This completely exceeded my expectations. I almost don’t want to leave a review because the next two months are already booked out and I am eager to go again 😉. But Alex deserves all the amazing reviews because, wow, what a special experience.
Go alone, with a partner or friend, or with a group. You can’t go wrong. The food and company was spectacular and worth every penny. The chef/host, Alex, and the staff that support the event are top notch. I felt immediately comfortable and like part of the community. We all stayed chatting at the dinner table until about 10pm because we were having such a lovely time.
Alex, please open up more nights so I can come back more often!!!“

“Che is like home away from home. It is everything you want in a cafe / wine bar. Incredible breakfast sandwich - ON LOCK! Delicious crunchy unique wines?! FOR DAYS! Interesting cocktails and classics alike - YES! Also do you want to experience food made with love?! It is a truly special place with care and intention put into every single detail. But the thing that makes it the best is the people who run it. They are beautiful inside and out, wildly talented, and foster community in a special way. 100000/10 recommend.“

“I love this spot for the most part, but have only been 3 times. The reason for that is every time I go, it’s an insanely long wait to get a drink. I’m not sure if I got unlucky with only going while they only have 1 bartender, but we’ve only gotten 1 drink each time because we couldn’t deal with waiting for another.“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Will be back to Brooklyn and will definitely come back.“
“This is a super cute little spot. It has a very charming heated back patio if you are looking to have a drink with a friend safely during the pandemic.“
“Is Greenpoint Brooklyn & Queens?
It’s hard for me to make friends. I’m still learning how to socialize. I’ve been watching monkey videos to understand human behavior.
I’m exploring the community through the scope of a pedestrian.
Greenpoint it’s an escape destination. Still has the charm of small neighborhood Queens & just far enough from the manufactured hipster thing.
I ended up paying for my last ride but the point of the bike Angels game is to end in a net positive ride. It’s the same theory as counting calories when dieting. But you want to be dropping off bikes where they are needed to balance the system.
It’s based on a branch of mathematics called game theory. I have adhd and have been trying to learn machine learning on YouTube.“
“Knowledgeable, kind, produces a great atmosphere for happy hour and beyond. Whoopsie Daisy’s staff have heart and it shows. I don’t mention this bar nearly enough I want them to have many years of success in Central Brooklyn. Thank you for such a great weekday happy hour menu!!!“

“This place is cozy and makes for a nice place to go out with friends, dates or even alone! I went in by myself and tried their banh mi, which despite not being like what you would find in a typical Vietnamese spot, was super tasty and I highly recommend it. Use my photo as evidence of how good it is, I ate half of it before I finally took a photo, haha. The bread itself was soft, it tasted fresh, and the filling wasn't overly spicy or bland, it was just right. The baked goods looked tempting and I might have to try them next time.
Service wise, they're great. The staff will let you know how long you'll wait for items and they are good at what they do, both in the front facing customers and in the back prepping.“

“For us, the food was hit or miss. Right from the start, the Sardine toast was the star of the night, then there was aRazor clam special, which was 50/50... the clams were great, but we didn't prefer the melon taste to the dressing. After that, we had the mortadella and sourdough. Both were very good. Ate that we had the snap pea salad and the mitake mushrooms with garlic fudge. Again, both were excellent. It was the mains that just fell apart for us. The bucatini had slices of squash on top that were dry, and a bit too much basil, which overpowered the dish. Other than the basil, it was lacking in flavor. The other main was the hake and risotto. While the risotto was heavily citrussed, almost too much so, it was still tasty, but the fish, again, lacked flavor/ seasoning/ salt. Overall, the meal was a 3.5, but we bumped it to a 4, because worth the omission of the mains, it could have been a 4.5-5.“
