I was emotionally boycotting the new menu because I loved Prime Meats. While I'll forever miss the pretzel and mustard, charcuterie platter, french fries and wursts and pickles, the new place has the same combination of new and reliable. The menu is outstanding and so is the service, cocktails and ambience. Thank you for the consistent excellence!“

“★★★★★

After an amazing day party at Superior Ingredients, we wanted somewhere intimate, elevated, and relaxing to unwind before continuing the night — and was the perfect choice.

The atmosphere here is incredible. Dim lighting, beautiful music at the perfect volume, effortlessly stylish crowd, and a warm energy that instantly makes you want to stay longer. The space feels classy and romantic without ever feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the experience.

The wine selection was outstanding. We spent the night exploring multiple imported European wines and loved how curated and unique everything felt. Pair that with the cheese boards and small plates and it becomes one of the best date-night wine spots in Brooklyn.

What really stood out though was the hospitality. The host and entire staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave first-class service from start to finish. You can tell there’s real passion behind the experience they create.

Perfect for romantic dates, intimate conversations, catching up with friends, or just having a more sophisticated night out in Williamsburg. Easily one of the best wine bar experiences we’ve had in NYC and definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to. 🍷✨“

Best atmosphere and the treats are fresh and delicious —albeit a bit pricey, even compared to other cafes in the area. I think the reason for this might be that it is one of those very few places left in the city where one can really sit comfortably and peacefully for hours without feeling rushed to leave so the table can be turned. We should be ready and willing to pay a little extra to help keep these places open; I definitely am. Love this place!“

LUYA Omakase & Wine Bar Japanese
219 5th Ave, Brooklyn

“This place is very, very special. Having visited a lost count of Omakase counters in NYC, it’s often a real risk choosing a new one, even when you do the research and read a million reviews.

My wife and I took the risk on LUYA when taking a friend to dinner a couple weeks ago and it may have been our biggest surprise in NY dining in at least a few years. There are way too many things praise worthy at this place to list them all so I’ll highlight a few and let the rest speak for itself when you go try it…

- The staff is beyond top tier. Not only are they all friendly, kind, observant and attentive, but they’re also fun to be around! Never intrusive, never annoying, always the right amount of conversation.

- The fish is some of the best, and most outstandingly fresh I’ve ever had anywhere, not just in NY. The sourcing must be incredible because every single piece is truly punching WAY above its class in terms of price, taste, and presentation.

- The natural wine bar and perfectly curated selection of sake and Japanese spirits is such a welcome surprise. The cocktails are wonderful, and the bartender (somm??) is super knowledgeable about everything there.

Just come here, you won’t regret it. Best kept secret in the city.“
