“I can tell this place is special and that the owners and team behind it put a lot of care and love into the food. The sauces are clearly made fresh from people who know Thai food well. I’m so lucky I get to eat this food often. I would upload photos but I ate it so quickly that all that sit in front of me now are plates that have been licked clean.“

Fensenjoon had such a great sauce and duck was cooked well with crispy and juicy bits that made it delicious. The kashk bedemjoon was delicious and paired well with the babari. Tahchin was crispy and was glad we ordered it to eat with the fensenjoon. Would definitely come back for more dishes.

Service was fast and great! Inside is dimly lit, perfect for a date night.“

“Fantastic value for a solid 9 course tasting menu with an amuse bouche and a petit four. Some highs and lows with an emphasis on asian flavors but it was an enjoyable hour and a half. I really loved the braised duck lettuce wraps and maple bacon donuts but i found the wagyu meatball dish too salty.“

“Such delicious food and great service! I ordered the kabob koobideh with a sharbat to drink and it was the perfect meal and pairing! My only complaint would be how noisy the dining areas are- it's a popular place so it's always packed, and the subway tile on the walls bounces the voices and noise. It's also hard to get a table, and reservations are competitive, but it is worth it!“

“Marcela’s was absolutely stunning. I don’t normally write reviews, but this restaurant was too amazing to not spread good word. We were the first to try their new chorizo, egg, and plantain brunch sandwich (Venezuelan-Spanish fusion), and it was unbelievably delicious. We also ordered the croquetas and shrimp dishes, which were fantastic. Between the quality of the food, ambience, and service, it’s evident that Marcela’s is ran with heart and passion. We will definitely be back!!!!“

“Try their Pabellon Arepa! You will forget your name and lose your mind. It is a masterpiece, chef-d'oeuvre. Insanely delicious. And don’t leave it unattended on the table! I am from upstate New York. We have hundreds of Mexican restaurants up there and none of them can make Arepa even close to La Napa’s.“

“The food at Djondjon is spot on.... This restaurant is a jewel. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is off the chart. There is free jazz often enough. The quality far surpasses the price. I love their pasta, their fish and their goats which come in various varieties. Their appetizers are yummy. I will continue to patronize this place. I had my Cabrit boukannen ( grilled goat) and it really pleased my taste buds.“

“We held our engagement dinner here, and I’m not kidding you, my Turkish uncle said it was the best Turkish food he had in the United States… The wait staff (Emine hn, Safa) are extremely warm, welcoming, attentive. The New York takes on classic Aegean dishes in the menu are to die for. Don’t bother trying to order a la carte, and just do the family-style “Rana’s table”, whether you are there for dinner or Turkish breakfast (some call it brunch…) Please bring back the Turkish coffee and prune- marinated lamb :)“

“The best takoyaki in town. Don’t touch the dorayaki, I bought one and it was mouldy. Found another mouldy one at the store, nobody seems to check. There’s one suspicious man I’ve never seen working the orders for the kitchen who seemed high or on drugs. Everyone else is unproblematic. He was out of place.“

“Came here on the recommendation of a good friend and was pleasantly surprised. The decor and the ambience is amazing. a great place to chill and just relax with friends and people you love. This is strictly a wine bar, as I did not see any alcohol served. The food itself was not bad. I wouldn't say it was absolutely amazing, but I feel that the vibe and the wine selection really make this place what it is. The French onion soup was not terrible, but it could definitely be better. I feel that they use mozzarella cheese for the soup. This is supposedly a French inspired restaurant, so I will let them slide, but the crabcakes were OK. I don't really care for all the spice. It was served with a mango chutney, a pesto sauce, and some sort of chipotle mayo. I mean, these are just flavors completely out of left field. The crab cake itself was very spicy, and it was really a minced crab rather than chunks of crab. Again, this place is not supposedly known for crabcakes, so I can't really base it on that. The duck confit salad was OK as well. Nothing crazy, just all right. Didn't hate it, but I wasn't in love with it either. The burger I got was served rare, just how I liked it, and to be honest, it felt a bit bland. I wish there were salted pepper on the table so I can season the burger as I like it. The french fries were OK. They seem pretty good, a little soggy, but still good nonetheless. The beef Bourgainon was pretty good. the sauce itself was very good and you could tell a lot of care was put into the sauce. I'm not really much of a stew person, but this was good. The start of the show is the owner. He was vibrant, energetic, very considerate of his patrons, and totally welcoming and hospitable. Show I would definitely come back just for the ambience and the owner. This place is good, but it can be great couple of tweaks like a happy hour menu or a buy one get one half off or something, just to promote it. If you ran a special starting from 7 PM till about 9 PM, like a after work happy hour, I think you would really kill it on weekdays“

“The servers were super kind and attentive and made sure to come around and keep everyones water full. We had chips and salsa as an appetizer, the salsa and guacamole were really good! The salsa was super flavorful, but not chunky at all if that's what you're into. My fiancée got chicken fajitas and they came out fresh and hot. She thought they were great and enjoyed the rest later as there was enough to take a little with us. I ordered a steak wet burrito with red sauce and it was awesome - with the chips from the appetizer especially! It was a nice sized burrito so i finished a little later too with a couple of the leftover chips. The restaurant was super small inside (probably 3 or 4 tables and a bigger party table) but very nicely decorated I really like the lighting and the party table on the back had some nice mirrors and a curtain for privacy. They did also have some outdoor seating if that's your thing too. It was very loud in there I will say though and it was hard to hear eachother and the server talk. But that wasnt a huge deal to us - but I know its worth noting for some.“

They didn’t have the okinawan awamori on the menu but who even has that on a menu anyway?

I know you can go to east village and around UN and midtown and find excellent japanese places but here the competition is shake shack and chik fil a (I know there are better places around here laugh a little)

Bartender was knowledgeable without being pretentious. Beautiful people enjoying beautiful drinks and you can order mackerel with your drinks.

Be warned tho - the special ingredient drawing you to the drink is usually more of a minor addition so don’t expect to be knocked out by the shiso flavor or the plum. These are liquor first cocktails or highballs. And if you order a highball you need to understand that means more soda and not hold it against the excellent bar.“

“Walking through Brooklyn on a grey day wondering where to eat, my wife and son and I ran into an old friend carrying takeout from Petite Dumpling. She highly recommended them, which was all we needed. Everything we ordered was fabulous and we're already planning our next visit--tomorrow. The best!“

Nic was professional and helpful with prior communication of the booking process, the minimum spend requirements, and the details of the menu.

They were able to accommodate a large group (25+ people) in the backyard. Chad was extremely proficient in handling the flow of food and Emilio was a great server.

The space is cute, the food is great, and the vibes are immaculate. I would happily host and event there again.“
