“We’ve recently been venturing into Brooklyn more from nyc as we’re consistently impressed with the food (and have been finding it takes less time to get to from the UES than downtown..) I filtered resy for Williamsburg and made a reservation at traif since it was one of the top rated spots with great reviews. All I can say is wow - we had a GREAT meal, couldn’t pick a favorite thing we ate, and felt that every item we ordered was a standout, not just a few things. Our waitress told us the menu is consistently changing, so this may only be helpful for those going this week.. but some of the items we ordered - tuna tartare (ordered a second of these at the end of the meal it was that good!), octopus, snapper bao buns, scallops (sleeper surprise excitement), blueberry ribs, foie gras, truffle pasta, duck, finished with key lime pie even though we had absolutely no room. Drinks great too, will definitely be back!“

“I was greatly and pleasantly surprised by this place! I never had Iranian food before, but this set a high standard. I ordered the lamb with saffon rice and it was SO delicious. It looked small to me, but it was very filling. The food is what I would say experimental Iranian cuisine or modern Iranian with a twist - like the lamb dish had a cranberry-like sauce with chopped pistachios. Yum. I really appreciate when food is well crafted like this. I also liked the service - it was attentive, but chill. The decoration was fun and interesting. I didn't have drinks but I plan to come back for more!“

“Sama Street made me and my tummy happy from start to end. I'm not sure how it's such a hidden gem given the quality and creativity of the food and drinks and all around great vibe.

I showed up shortly after open to a completely empty restaurant, so the bartender, Jamie, suggested some delicious drinks (not that you can go wrong with any of them). Of the few drinks I had, my least favorite (but still solid) was the Jacket Required, which is really just a slightly modified old fashioned. Everything else was incredible - some ingredients seem out there and might might throw you off, but every drink I had was really more than just the sum of its parts.

Food was also great, especially if you're into family style meals. Skewers were cooked to perfection, bok choy wasn't just tossed in some soy sauce, flat noodles were great. The sundae dessert included some of the tastiest and unique ice cream flavors I'd ever had, made in house.

Overall will definitely be back.“

I’m not sure how they manage allowing guests to only assist one set but very few people seemed to have left after the first set and before the second. A waitress came outside and told us we’d all be seated soon and 30 minutes later, we were still waiting in line outside with the horrendous stench of decomposing rodents and trash. We dipped. Either you take reservations or make sure people in the first set don’t stay for the second. If you get inside, the ambience is lovely.“

Not too thick, on the creamy side & I could taste the lemon/lime . The burger was no ordinary burger. It was massive for a great price . Very juicy & EXTREMELY well seasoned in every single bite. I could only finish half but I'm so happy to have left overs . lol They don't have fries and that was kind of disappointing but they do have house fried potatoes which made up for it. They were so good , I didn't even need ketchup . Atmosphere is great, great service, loved it all the way around . Definitely coming back !“

“We come here every Sunday for brunch before hitting up the farmers market. It’s the perfect execution of comfort food that doesn’t make you feel heavy after.

The dim sum menu is small but has all the favorites, and they do it really well. Their congee is my favorite and great for hangovers. Both chicken and veggie versions are clean yet flavorful. Dumplings are juicy and have a nice skin that’s not too thick but thick enough (giggidy).

Veggie dishes are bomb. Honestly everything is tasty and priced well. The restaurant is small but not cramped. It allows the service to be more attentive. This place good I like.“

“The experience was okay overall. The waiters were nice and attentive. We ordered the queso fundido with chorizo which was disappointing -do not bother. Almost microscopic bits of chorizo in the cheese. The first order didn't have chorizo so when I mentioned this, I think we offended the owner and staff. We also ordered the octopus appetizer. The octopus was a little spicy, but good. Also ordered the chips and guac. Very standard -i make them better at home. For mains we ordered the steak burrito bowl, the Mexican pork suckling sandwich, the torta de milanesa sandwich, and the chicken enchilada with green sauce. Everything was good, just not what you would expect for the price.

The total was about $173 with tip. Find yourself a "non fancy" Mexican restaurant in the city for a tenth of the price and better tasting food.“
