“After a hectic day of exploring, my group of friends and I stumbled upon a charming restaurant with a limited number of seats. The cozy setup felt like a gathering in someone's kitchen, creating an intimate space for our lively group. The kitchen's aromatic symphony and the friendly staff set the stage for an enjoyable evening. Knowing that the ingredients were sourced locally added a layer of appreciation to the culinary experience. It was a delightful find that turned a casual dinner into a memorable, homey affair.“
“Easily one of my favorite cafes in the city. I always get the Yemeni Latte. Though it’s a bit pricey at $9, you get drink with a mountain of whipped cream and espresso that melts in your mouth ? Would recommend for a date, or for a quick pick-me-up! ☕️☕️⬆️“
“I ate here with my family earlier today as a pre-dinner snack. We were hungry and needed something small, quick, and sweet that would hold us off until dinner. Admittedly, I am not much of a pie person and usually decline pies when I am offered. However, these pies were absolutely amazing. I shared the double chocolate pecan pie with ice cream with my mother (highly recommend), and my father and sister shared the signature pie which was a fruit pie. The pies were about $7 a piece and we also ordered two teas for I think $3 a piece (I may be a few dollars off). Anyways, it was an overall lovely treat. The inside is 60s diner themed and the workers were so sweet. Our server kept on checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and best of all, he shared some very cringey (but still funny) dad jokes. Unfortunately, I don't live in NYC and will not be able to eat here as often as I would like to, but I fully recommend this place to anyone that has the opportunity to eat here.“
“Run don't walk to get the egg biscuit sandwich! Literally one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had. Don't sleep on their coffee either. VERY reasonably priced as well, friendly staff and just a great place to work on your laptop. A gem of a place in Sunset Pk.“
“We could not be happier with how our event at Farm to People went. The space is cozy and warm, the food was amazing (with lots to choose from) and the staff was incredible. I was able to completely relax and enjoy myself at my event because I knew everything was well taken care of. I have not a single complaint!“
“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! Super friendly service, quick, and delicious. What else could you need?“
“We sat outside. The service was great! They brought us the wrong cocktails and replaced them right away and gave us the first ones as courtesy. It’s not 5 stars because I don’t know how I feel about the big piece of beet in my burger. I thought it was gonna be pickled or treated somehow. Good overall :)“
“A perfect establishment—solid breakfast food, kind servers, and a vibe that reminds me of going to breakfast with my dad as a kid. Other diners in the city are at least twice as expensive and don’t provide half the warmth or charm of this place. Thank you thank you Mike’s!!!“
“I absolutely love the coffee, however, everytime I come to this establishment, I am charged differently for the same drink. I am not to certain as to why. I expressed this with some of the staff here at Hamlet, who then empathized with me, but I guess did not relay the message. I am starting to believe that specific staff members are making up prices. I am not too happy about this. I truly enjoy the coffee, however the fluctuations of the pricing will be their downfall if it persists.“
“Very busy and crowded but found a single spot on a bench, just ordered whatever they had on drip and it was excellent. Staff and service was super. My only gripe, which has nothing to do with the staff, is the customers are all set up at the counter and seats on their laptops, working (?) and monopolizing the space while so many others are looking for somewhere to sit to enjoy their coffee and take a break. Yet they can’t. That’s disappointing.“
“My go-to coffeeshop in the neighborhood! I love swinging by here on my way to work, coffee in hand on the subway, station just around the corner. I'm usually a simple cold brew person, but their blended drinks and lattes are both excellent, while boasting a variety of flavors usually hard to find (sorrel and soursop).“
“I came here for the bleachers listening party and had such a great experience! The space is so inviting and the pastries/drinks are great as well. Lucas, the owner, was so communicative and has such a passion for his store. I hope to visit again soon and watch the space grow over the years!“
“Good vibe, the Tlalpeno Rojo soup is brilliant. The hot figs are a treat to share. Loco corn is also good. Chicken sandwiches are not their specialty. Delicious volcanic hot sauce. Neat weird variety of hot chocolates you can grab to go for a park stroll on a cold day.“
“Really wonderful place. We used to live in the neighborhood and it had been a moment since I'd been to Diem Eatery. While in town for a doctor's appt I stopped over with my husband to get a banh mi and the beef jerky papaya salad...both delicious, both made with love of course. The couple who own it are lovely and you can taste the care that they put into the preparation of the food.“
“they always got my back like wow… the baristas always remember me and put my name in without asking… i love u guys yummy burger yummy blt and i love blts so getting one here for lunch is such a treat… this is my fav lunch spot i love you guys“
“I just love this place so much. The staff are always so warm and happy. The coffee is great. The croissants are so good. The chocolate croissants actually have gooey chocolate, not an unmelted chocolate log inside. The chocolate chip cookie is the best in the city. Yes. I said it. The other pastries are also great. I will say, the babkas are good but much too sweat for me. I only wish they have a few more seats inside.“
“We got the pork and shrimp spring rolls, chicken dumplings and the chicken tacos. All items were really tasty. Very quick service. And reasonable prices. Would recommend coming here again if you’re shopping in SoHo and want to eat a nice meal after all the walking. It was easy to get a table on a Friday night too! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was not bad. Want to come here again and try the banh mi sandwiches next!“
“Boris & Horton is an absolute gift to our day every time we visit—a true gem and an easy favorite. Since opening in Williamsburg, the Eloise latte and a treat for my pup have become staples of our little morning routine. The staff’s warm welcome and genuine kindness contribute to a community that is inclusive and filled with pure joy. Thoughtful and creative, Boris & Horton is truly something special. Grateful for the friends and fun memories made over workdays spent here.“
“I’ve been here two times and it is my new favorite cafe. Both times I got the tetela de nopales. I’m excited to try everything on the menu, but I liked it so much I couldn’t resist getting it again! Cafe de olla is delicious and their espresso is nice. The staff is the best, the music is great. Coming here puts me in a good mood. Cant recommend more“
“I would like a backyard like their. So well decorated and amazing atmosphere.Food is amazing delicious and beautiful. My friend ordered and it’s meant for sharing with friends. I love the wings.Service is okie. In the backyard, they don’t really check on you much but it’s okie.Atmosphere is great.“
“Brooklyn Perks Coffee Shop offers a delightful blend of cozy ambiance and rich, aromatic coffees. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or seeking a relaxing spot to work, this place has it all. Highly recommended for a comforting coffee experience in Brooklyn.“
“What a wonderful find! Had some lunch when we had visited over from the UK. The waitress and also the owner looked after us so much. The owner had made some chicken soup which she made some for us to try after having our lunch. My partner was also feeling under the weather so she made him a hot lemon/ginger/honey tea on the house. So kind and thoughtful. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Would recommend the food, coffee and juices there, made with fresh ingredients and love. Thanks for looking after us so well!“
“This is everything you want in a local brewery. Open, chill interior; beertenders who are friendly and know what they’re pouring; beer, cocktails, snacks, and nonalcoholic options aplenty. *AND* it’s queer, woman, and veteran owned. Also, the Fan Fan Tart Disco deserves to be in a museum. It’s that good.“
“Good coffee shop with knowledgeable baristas. My wife is not in love with their espresso drinks, and the inside doesn't always handle crowds well. Otherwise, this is a lovely little neighborhood cafe with a coffee window that is downright irresistible.“
“My first time going here was just Sunday a few days ago and it was really nice. The space is adequate, but also bigger than I thought it would be. There's so much seating and they even have games and a little library! I loved the salmon burger and really want to try the Kremas latte when it's back in stock. The decor was so colorful, and the other customers were friendly also. I'm not that close to the area anymore but I would definitely come back for that latte and some of the sweet stuff I saw in the display ?“
“I am always searching for the best espresso and I’m glad I stopped by - more or less accidentally. You have to search and find this place on Union Street on the edge of Park Slope. Their Partners Coffee (roasted in Williamsburg, 2 miles north) is the smoothest and best roast variety I had for a long time!“
“The pandan latte changed my life, cleared my skin, put $1000 in my bank account, and made me weep from joy. Such a complex and tasty flavor that is enhanced by the espresso! Can’t wait to get another one it’s all I’ve thought about today.“
“My sister and I had lunch here and it was amazing. The place is nice and cozy, the chef is super friendly and we got free samples of the soup of the day! The wraps are delicious and the pastries are to die for. I almost took the whole case of pastries home. Be sure to try the sweet potato bread!!Dietary restrictions: Vegan!!“
“This place is amazing, stop bye every chance I can, the owner is always extremely nice, as well as the other staff. Pastries are delicious as well as their sandwiches. Their casual coffee shop vibe is amazing! The who thing is just amazing! Everything is consistently delicious and you can't really go wrong with popping when you can.“
“I moved to Williamsburg three years ago and I’ve gone to Butler nearly 400 times (I counted). I live near the Williamsburg location but have taken the ferry many times just to try the dumbo location as well. I always get a coffee or tea AND the breakfast sandwich which is why I keep coming back. It is delectable. No joke I’ve spent almost $10K eating here because it’s my comfort food. I do pick up, dine in and delivery. Always good.Vegetarian options: Awesome vegetarian and pescatarian options. For the breakfast sandwich which is my fave you can omit meat. However they really need to lower the price for adding avocado for those that omit bacon.“
“I was simply working nearby and stumbled upon Blend... what a treat! Not only did I find the owner Ralph hanging out and being awesome. The folks in the shop are friendly. In addition, the coffee is top notch, and the food is creative. What more can you ask for?“
“What an amazing place!!! The chef definitely knows how to keep you satisfied. The food was delicious!!! The drinks were fun and tasty. I truly enjoyed the steak and the crab cakes as well as the chicken sandwich. I'm definitely going back.“
“Sweet little spot in downtown Brooklyn. The place is aesthetically pleasing and the coffee is great too. We ended up visiting on a rainy afternoon and it was perfect. Great views of the Brooklyn bridge. Friend and I both got the Kyoto coffee and we tried a pastry each- the blueberry danish & kouign amann. Liked the Kouign Amann better, it was super rich and perfect pairing with the coffee. Special mention to the bougie toilet with heated seats and bidet, it was much appreciated. lol.“
“Whenever I'm looking for a place to meet with a friend or to treat myself with a fresh cup of coffee and delicious food – "Black milk coffee and Crepe" is the place!I've been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood and I have to admit they stole my heart! Every visit feels special: from kind staff and welcoming atmosphere to creative drinks and outstanding food. The owners also work here, so you can be assured you will get the best treatment!I've tried their sour, as well as sweet, crepes and I loved the variety of them. My favorites are smoked salmon and prosciutto crepes. Always freshly made and mouthwatering! They have a good choice of baked goods and desserts so you'll definitely find something to your liking. I've tried many carrot cakes in my life and can definitely say their cake is the best! Moist and moderately sweet. The coffee is so good, I never leave without a bag to enjoy it at home. The atmosphere is uplifting yet, invites you to get lost in your thoughts. I am looking forward to the warmer days when I can relax in their cozy backyard and enjoy my most favorite breakfast or lunch.“
“Copper Mug coffee has quickly become not only one of my go - to coffees, but one of my favorite coffees in the entire city. Their maple cinnamon latte is one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Their Nutella infused banana bread is perfectly moist and flavorful, striking a perfect balance between chocolate and banana. There’s no doubt in my mind this place takes great care and effort to produce high quality products that all will enjoy thoroughly.“
“I came here with a friend after roaming around the neighborhood while we waited for our table at Evelina. We walked in and immediately were drawn to the great selection of pantry items they had (sucker for colorful labels as well). I’m not a big cook so it kind of inspired me to want to try some recipes just to incorporate some of the items we saw. After looking around for a bit we walked out and decided we definitely wanted to come by another time to check out the sandwiches, well that some time turned into a few hours later when we got hungry again and wrangled our other friend to come to the shop with us.While looking at the menu the guy behind the counter was super nice and asked what we were in the mood for, while we looked over the wide selection of sandwiches he gave me a taste of the buttermilk fried chicken in the Korean sauce they had and WOW it was soooo tasty and juicy. I ended up getting the Korean fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw and pickled onions. My friends both got the friend whiting sandwich and they absolutely loved it.Call us creatures of habits but we ended up going back again the next day to try another sandwich because we were craving it so much! 1 whiting sandwich, 1 shrimp po boy and I got the chicken cutlet with Calabrian chili aioli and wow, someone needs to bottle that chili aioli and sell it!So happy to have such a nice neighborhood spot (just discovered it but I see they’ve been open since 2021) with such amazing customer service and great sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back and try more!“
“This has easily become my new top coffee spot in the neighborhood. The drinks are amazing and they usually have specials. The coquito with oat milk literally changed my life. They usually have a small array of pastries too, but bevvies are definitely their main focus.“
“We finally visited Brooklyn Ball Factory which has been on our go-to list but failed many times due to the crowd. The decor is humble with relaxing ambiance but not recommended to dine in for someone who is looking for a comfortable spot.We had their Teriyaki Double Cheese Burger and Osouzai Salad. It was overall authentic with delicate flavors but small portion.“
“My husband and I have been going here most weekends throughout the summer, it's a hidden gem in the neighborhood with great coffee and a nice atmosphere. Recently I went in by myself with my small dog in a tote bag, and was told there are no dogs allowed inside, which is pretty odd for the neighborhood and there is no sign stating this. I understand it's completely up to the business if they allow dogs or not, but it was a very awkward and almost punitive interaction and I was made to stand outside while waiting the 2 minutes for my coffee to be made. I do not feel welcome back to this cafe unfortunately, so I probably won't be returning.“
“Amazing coffee, great pastries (the cheese turnover and the croissant were pretty good). The banana bread was the best- moist fresh and not too sweet! Even the mocha was good. Loved the vibe of the place especially if you come on a sunny day! I can see myself coming here on a Sunday with by laptop / book and spend hours. Which we actually saw with other customers! The only downside is that you may find it hard to find a spot to sit.“
“Matcha latte is very strong, felt more charged than in other places. Taro latte is interesting and delicious of you like that flavor. The place itself is clean, service is cool but the ambiance is not very inviting, there is a lot of empty space and it feels too laconic. Not a cosy cafe where you want to sit on a rainy day.“
“I went here for the first time today to buy beans. I used them and see a big difference in these beans and the ones I used to buy from trader joes. These beans are very fresh. The individual who assisted me was very nice and helpful. Prices are good as well, especially since their quality is really good. I look forward to coming back and trying out the other types of beans as well!“
“The atmosphere here is great and there's really no other coffee shop that can compare in Flatbush, but the wifi is spotty and sometimes the service is slow. It's a great place to hang out or do work if you don't mind semi-loud “
“Fast service with the hospitality and quality you’d want in your local coffee shop! In the heart of Bay Ridge, Cup of Joe is a staple! The smooth and flavorful espresso along with the tasty desserts, you can’t go wrong. I love their Iced Lattes and wouldn’t go to another coffee shop in the “
“I'm a big fan of the flavor options they have for cafe drinks--more diverse than the typical vanilla or caramel options other places have. Service is good, interior is cozy. My one critique is that it seems like the beans they use in their espresso bevs is a light roast; the acidity is strong & makes the drinks a lil sour at times.“
“Although the croissants and pain au chocolat were great, I think the highlight of this bakery so far, for me, were the two sourdough breads I got for home. They slice them up for you and are some of the best bread I’ve tried in my life. Would recommend getting a loaf if you’re ever around. Service is always super kind too! Will try the popular chocolate almond croissant next.“
“Today I had a life changing cookie. I had the strawberry milk cookie, then immediately texted my husband and called my sister to talk about this amazing cookie. Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors, so maybe I’m biased, but it was the best cookie I’ve had in a really long time. It was soft with crunchy bits on top, and the strawberry flavor popped. I felt like a cartoon character with heart eyes and sparkles coming out of my head with just one bite. The s’mores cookie was also amazing. Both cookies were delicious and also unique. I can’t wait to try the other flavors.“
“Friendly, cozy, comfy seating, and bright, this is my favorite coffeeshop in the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where folks say hello & most folks are regulars.Super tasty croissants, made fresh. The rocket fuel is my favorite treat-my-self drink. They make a great americano, too.“
“This place had a really great atmosphere, and it seems like this coffee shop is really connected with the neighborhood. When I came in they had a little vintage/clothing sale with local vendors. The food looked phenomenal, same with the specialty lattes. I really liked that they offered oat milk along with regular milk in the self-serve area. Staff weren't super friendly.Vegetarian options: Offered Oat-milk in the self serve area.“
“As someone who does not drink as much, this no alcohol bar is extremely refreshing. The owners of the bar are very nice and the drinks are delicious. This bar has a drink for everyone from their zingy or sweet cocktails as well as the non alcoholic wines and beers, it’s definitely a cozy spot to hangout. I am a huge fan of the the coconaut and trip to ikea!“
