Chick-fil-A Debuts Daybright Coffee Concept in Georgia
Chick-fil-A opened Daybright Coffee & Refreshment, a standalone café concept in Hiram, Georgia, marking its latest venture beyond chicken sandwiches.
The new location opened Thursday, Oct. 30, serving "handcrafted coffee beverages, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and food made with simple ingredients," according to a company spokesperson. Unlike its parent restaurant, Daybright won't feature any Chick-fil-A menu items.
Daybright operates from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays just like Chick-fil-A). The café features both a dual-lane drive-thru and a full dining room designed for customers to linger.
The Daybright lineup includes signature coffees, iced teas, lemonades, and "Fizzes" - sparkling beverages made with muddled fresh fruit and sparkling water. Smoothies and cold-pressed juices round out the drink offerings. Food options include daily donuts, pressed breakfast burritos, and stuffed English muffins.
Standout beverages include the Brown Bear latte with brown sugar, the citrusy Yuzu You lemonade, and the La-Tea-Da - a hibiscus tea latte topped with edible glitter. The Watermelon Fizz uses fresh muddled watermelon rather than artificial flavoring.
"With schedules busier than ever, we know people are looking for easy, convenient ways to enjoy quality food and beverages," said David Farmer, vice president of Red Wagon Ventures, LLC, in a news release. "Daybright is designed with this in mind, offering delicious beverages and portable bites intended to delight customers and help boost their busy days."
Red Wagon Ventures, a Chick-fil-A subsidiary established in January 2017, operates Daybright as part of its mission to explore new business ventures. The company previously launched Little Blue Menu in College Park, Maryland, in 2023, serving Chick-fil-A classics alongside wings and burgers.
Chick-fil-A isn't pioneering beverage-focused concepts. Taco Bell expanded its Live Más Café this year after test-launching in California in 2024, with plans to open 30 locations across Texas and Southern California by 2025. The café serves specialty coffees and Refrescas drinks alongside regular Taco Bell items.

McDonald's tried a similar approach with CosMc's, an alien-themed beverage concept that launched in 2023. Those five locations closed after just two years, though McDonald's brought CosMc's drinks to its regular locations nationwide.
For now, there's just one Daybright. Whether the concept expands depends on how Georgia customers respond to glitter lattes and watermelon fizzes.
