The two private rooms have their own temperature regulation for different preferences and going solo is an option because there’s usually staff open to playing with you, though I highly suggest bringing friends. “Wow… Their shrimp tempura rice ball was absolutely amazing, and I don’t even usually like sushi. The young lady working the cashier was so sweet and friendly. She even put on gloves and helped teach me how to properly open my rice ball. Don’t miss out on this little hole in the wall- I’ll definitely be back!“

“I am obsessed with Café Miguel's café de olla. I have been chasing the taste of that Mexican coffee since first trying it in Mexico City years ago, and theirs is incredible. The brunch line can be long, but it's worth it; the chilaquiles are delicious. I have no idea how they make so many different things so fast in that tiny, open air kitchen.“

Never seen a crowd come together so seamlessly on a regular Wednesday night. Brandon & Shay do such a good job of bringing warmth and make the space welcoming from the moment you step in. “Padmores is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. The staff are genuinely some of the nicest people you’ll meet. Not fake nice — real, warm, remember-your-order type of nice. They’re attentive without hovering, and every drink is made fresh from scratch and always hits. The menu is just right — no fluff, just solid options.

I love the different seating setups too — cozy bench vibes, round tables for catching up, long shared tables when I need to cowork. There’s always a spot that fits my mood.

And the music? That’s my favorite part. As a Bed-Stuy native, it’s easy to feel out of place in a neighborhood you grew up in because of how much gentrification has changed things. But Padmores blends old and new Brooklyn so well. On certain days they’re playing real throwback Hip-Hop, R&B, and Soul — the classics. It feels familiar. It feels like home. I really hope they never lose that vibe. There are plenty of cafés around here, but I’ll choose Padmores every time.“

“The tofu Bánh mì is delicious (get the jalapeños and sriracha!) and portion size is HUGE. 1/2 is basically the size of a normal full size sandwich. The green papaya salad was also bangin’ but I forgot to take a photo. The atmosphere of the place is extremely pleasant - so cozy and really a nice aesthetic. This is a different Bánh mì than any I’ve ever had before, and though it’s not quite authentic/traditional in taste or style, it’s unique and delicious anyway.“

“Small lovely cafe in Brooklyn. Went there for brunch. Service was really good. Food had fresh ingredients and was very well prepared. Coffee was OK though they offered a nice hibiscus drink. The only issue is there are only few tables and it’s not very convenient for 4 person party like us. Still would go there again“

Also, I had a breakfast sandwich and was delighted that you can pick and choose some extra add ons. Grabbed an everything croissant that was yummy too but wish I had asked for it to be warmed up because it was a little on the cold side.“

“Amazing cafe. The food is stellar and it is located conveniently next to the train. We have lunch from this place every time we’re in Brooklyn. We order the cauliflower shawarma hummus bowl every time (vegan). It’s a perfect lunch portion, delicious and flavorful. Comes with cauliflower, cabbage, pickles, hummus, and warm, delicious bread. It’s a 10/10. Last visit we also tried the crispy cauliflower hummus bowl. It is also delicious! The cauliflower is deep fried and is tossed in a yummy sweet glaze. It’s spectacular but because it’s a bit more indulgent we wouldn’t get for lunch every time but is a must have if you like crispy, sweet fried cauliflower. We also tried the falafel (not vegan, has feta cheese) and it was good too.

It’s pricey for a bowl (around $40 for 2 bowls) for sure but we enjoy the food every time, it’s consistent, and high quality. We will go back again and again for our usual cauliflower shawarma bowl.“

“Brought here by a friend who had nothing but good things to say. Like the concept and the portions are healthy—enough for leftovers if you’re not famished, but the pricing feels close to sit-down style restaurant (and here you are doing most of the service yourself). The quality and freshness was excellent and everything cooked well. For me, taste wise was a tad bland but I’d rather that than doused in obnoxious sauces. Went at a busy time and felt a little squished with a packed line at the bakery/register/store section (trying not to knock into things or people) and then a little wait for a table to free up. Got some pastries for the road which were delicious even cold.“

“Really cute place! I had a Dulce Latte and it was delicious, perfectly sweet. The staff is very cool and sweet. I had a bite of French Toast too and it tasted sooo good!! The only downside is that the open kitchen does let out a greasy smell that ruins the otherwise perfect atmosphere, they should get better ventilation.“

The food was great, I got the Time Immemorial and my wife got the Ya Sista, both were exceptional. Also, there is a nice selection of imported Italian sauces, pastas, oils, etc. Highly recommend!“
