“I was shock to see such a low rating for this place. I got a blt with 2 eggs as well as an ice coffee for $13.61. Which is not bad. I’m very picky with my ice coffee but this place made it to my liking . The best part is that they have sitting area and it’s clean. Food taste and customer service was great . They gave me a good amount of bacon . I’ll definitely recommend to try it and I really hope the rating goes up cause they do deserve it .“

“I’ve lived in the neighborhood for some time and can’t believe I haven’t been here before!
Fantastic coffee, exceptional baklava, and overall just a nice experience. Zana, thank you!
I will be back and, if you’re reading this, you should check them out too!“

“I did brunch with my family and it was overall a good experience. First off, service was great! Yes, you do have to get your drinks, like in most cafes but they do serve you food and cutleries. My parents thought their coffee was not as hot as they would have expected. But the staff was courteous enough to instantly serve another fresh cup. We ordered shaphaley, momos, chips and guac (diff chips style, which I loved), french toast, Himalayan breakfast (this was great!) and regular brunch breakfast. Overall, everything tasted good. The french toast was okay hence taking a point off for food. Other than that, this cafe meets my needs for asian and western fusion brunch. Will def visit again ?.“

“This cafe is so lovely. I had the pleasure of Desi and Aida assisting me with my order. They made the most delicious soy chai with amazing foam. Their desserts were amazing as well. It was refreshing to be greeted with such positive and friendly energy in New York. I can't wait to come back when I am in the area. Make sure to come to this cafe if you want a lovely experience and great food and drinks!“

“Great place for casual dining. The quinoa salad was perfectly delicious. Good coffee. And the best was the hibiscus cruller, which sadly I learned is seasonal. (But tell have other flavors). Wonderful servers and a nice outdoor sitting area. All reasonably priced.
Thank you! Will definitely be back when I’m in the Union sq area.“

“So many reasons to live! Food and beverages are very good. I love their chai and tuna salad sandwich and tuna melt. They also serve wine and beer. It’s very laptop, friendly and sometimes hard to even get a spot to sit.
I do think that they are slightly overpriced for the portion size. The sandwiches are between $13 – $15 and don’t come with anything on the side. My friend loves the chicken sandwich.“

“I love this place so much and it always hits the spot. It’s such a homey vibe and I’m always so impressed with how efficiently they can make food considering how small the open kitchen is. I’ve tried several things on the menu and they all slap. I love the effort that’s put into the presentation and you really can’t beat the price.
Most importantly i love that the kitchen is like 3 tias - it tugs my heart strings“

“Stumbled upon this gem with some friends. To my delight, this place is fantastic.
I got the strawberry gelato and decaf cappuccino, though i tried my friends’ vanilla gelato and starberry milkshake. All were superb. I was not expecting such high quality.
I am an ice cream and milkshake enthusiast — and this would rate as one of the best.
The owner is also very sweet.
10/10!“

“It’s my fav neighborhood spot, and some of the best Mexican food I’ve found in NY/BK. Staff are really nice, drinks are great, and the new meat tacos are rad.
Vegetarian options: They recently added meat the the menu but it has an extensive vegetarian and they use corn flour tortillas“

“I'm not a big fan of sweets and pastries so my standards are very high but this is crazy good
“I don’t like sweets” or “I don’t like bread.” If you try Crople here, you'll see, I'm not a person who doesn't like bread, but I'm a person who likes delicious bread.
you will realize
And I am someone who actually likes bread?
Be careful because you might go crazy and lose control. This is truly another level.“

“Five stars mainly because the price is affordable and the food is good. The view of Columbus Circle is also a big plus. The pace is slow but the vibe makes up for it. Strongly recommend this hidden gem (had trouble finding it on Google maps).

“Chai Wala has great service and a very cute space. They have a great choice of music and the employees are very attentive. I took a family member for the first time and the person behind the counter made her a custom brown sugar milk tea with oreo that she LOVED.

“This was highly recommended by my relatives. And now, by me as well! I ordered their ginger latte. Only one item, butttt it was enough for me to want to come back and try their other drinks and the buns!
The ginger latte had the right amount of sweetness. The ginger flavour was good and it wasn’t the strong kind that would stick to your throat for a while.
Will be back and leave another review!“

“First off the food here is AMAZING! I stop by at least once a week to get my favorite acai bowl: “The Boratella”. The flavors blend so well together in your mouth and it always makes you want more. The atmosphere is very modern and they keep the place very clean and tidy. Often times I dine in but recently i’ve been opting for take out/ delivery because of a faint “clean” smell in the back of the restaurant. Im not sure where it’s coming from but its off putting for me, hopefully they can work that out in the near future, other than that 10/10 establishment!“

“We wanted to grab a light but interesting lunch on our day trip to Brooklyn and found this very charming shop. It was 90 degree weather outside but cool inside with cozy seating inside the small store footprint. The strawberry lemonade was so refreshing and the tuna sandwich and crispy chicken salad (get the spicy tzatziki) were satisfying but not heavy in the belly. The staff was patient fielding my questions and allowing me to switch up my lunch choice.“

“What a gem. We will be back soon for a proper meal but this is already our new favorite spot. We were greeted by the owners and got to sit out front at one of the little tables in the sun. But I have no doubt we will be as comfortable and happy inside when it gets colder, as it is really homey and pretty, thank you for a great breakfast, we will be back!“

“Absolutely loved their pistachio soufflé—it was incredible! The cold brew was a bit too strong for our taste, but they had a wide variety of other beverages on the menu. “I’ve been here about ten times. The two owners (Sezane and Apo; I could be misspelling their names) are each entertaining and friendly. It’s a great place to come work for an hour or two: tranquil, comfortable seating indoors (if a bit narrow) and outdoor tables on a sidestreet just off 30th Ave. Also, they have freshly baked Turkish treats and savory food. They’re very welcoming here. Highly recommend!“

“I think if someone has been in New York for a while and wants to taste a bit of Italy they should come to this spot. I often had breakfast here during my time in New York, I found it by chance after a few weeks. I had tasted around even just out of curiosity for those who write 100% Italian, but this is often not the case, here instead of Italian there is taste and even some guys who work there. All the polite staff, clean place and excellent food, not Italian style, but Italian. I recommend it to everyone ?“

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.
The space is small but offers some seating indoors and outdoors. I will definitely try to come again for the egg toast specifically.“

“The people that work here at nice, and the coffee is good. I think there are definitely things about this cafe that could use improving though. First of all, the seats as well as the tables are WAY too small and this is coming from someone 5’1”. This isn’t very inclusive at all for people who maybe taller or in a larger body. They’re uncomfortable as well. Secondly, there’s no bathroom. I understand New York State says only places with 19 chairs and up need a bathroom but it’s inconvenient when they serve both food and drink to not have a bathroom. Thirdly, the prices are astronomical and although the coffee is good and food is ok, i don’t understand the high price point. Lastly, some of the baristas may need more training because they have served me a cortado in a macchiato cup TWICE. a cortado is 4 oz.
All in all, this place has potential but doesn’t hit the mark. To the owner:: research what successful coffee shops in Brooklyn are doing. Bathroom, inclusive environment, free water, and competitive pricing.“
