The customers sitting next to me raved about the boneless goat head with white rice which I will try next time. The owner appreciated that I knew much about the culture and food since I am not African. The other customers also appreciated my knowledge of the culture and treated me to a free plum wine which I also enjoyed. I normally have a good experience here and will definitely return!!!!“

I own a cocktail bar in the neighborhood and know that someone has targeted them (along with their friends) with a series of unfair reviews. Ironically, they seem to not realize how this affects a business and in turn how much money is made by those who work at said business. I do not believe that recent bad reviews have been made in good faith. Anyone who’s been here knows it’s fantastic :)“

“Got the cauliflower sandwich, the special hot chicken sandwich and the crispy potatoes. They were all really good and delicious. The chicken was crispy (wish it was a tad spicier), the cauliflower sandwich is amazing and my favorite thing from here (as a meat eater), and the crispy potatoes are always just solidly good. The ambiance though was a little chaotic feeling. I felt really claustrophobic in there, as if everyone around me was just a bit too* close together. The table arrangement felt strange. I get wanting to maximize seating but one table was in such a weird tight corner, one by where everyone walked by to the bathroom, and one had a plant where someone would be seated by the window? Also there were several 4-seater tables that just had a single person at them just reading or on their phones with a coffee while groups were waiting. I get that it's seat yourself/first come but it felt really inconsiderate as parties of 3 would awkwardly cram into/sideways into a 2 seater table while that was happening. I wouldn't come back to dine in for sure. But the food is delicious so back to take out exclusively for me.“

Not only did she cook homemade Puerto Rican recipes, but she hires entertainment along with having a great selection of wine.I had the Carne Guisada (beef stew with white rice) and it felt like I was eating a mother’s cooking. Paired it with a couple glasses of Rosasera and a lovely Latin jazz band playing in the background and it was heaven. There were even some board games for us the play with while we waited on our food.Topped off the night by splitting a plate of the coquito flan served with the most adorable heart shaped spoons. The staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the ambience - from the decor to the lighting and the music - is incredibly warm and inviting. I love that customers have the option of selecting from various types of seating including swerving stools, booths, tables, couches in both indoor seating and outdoor seating. My personal favorite is the beautiful Bee garden in the back end of the cafe which offers "outdoor" seating which is closed off but still gives you the option of getting some sunlight. Off the menu, my favorite is the Kimchi fries. I have already introduced multiple of my friends and family to Bee, and would recommend anyone to check out this spot if they can.“

Crab Ravioli
Lava Cake
Focaccia
Burrata

“Had brunch here today. I had the Hangover Pizza while my wife and daughter had the Eggs Ricotta. So my review is limited to those dishes. While I'm not a big fan of ricotta, it was plated beautifully and both said it was as good as it gets. They are very picky so that's a full fledged RAVE. My pizza was Freaking Magnificent ( I don't want to be redundant and say as good as it gets, but it was). I mean pizza is pizza? No! This was extraordinarily good, fresh hot and tasty ingredients including eggs bacon and potatoes on a thin crust. Delicious Plus! The place was rather empty being it was a Saturday at 2:00 so we did have to wait as they probably had to re fire up the pizza oven, but it was worth the wait.“

“I think Mya's Bar & Kitchen is an underrated spot. The food and service have not disappointed me yet and the space is an overall vibe. I've gone here several times and whether it's the honey shrimp, oxtail tacos, mac and cheese as well as sorrel drinks...Mya's Bar & Kitchen brings me joy. It's a well needed spot to the neighborhood and I hope more people come out to support this place. I don't want to see it go.“

“Consistently outstanding service and food. Authentic Italian ambience. Chef Roberto is one my top 3 chefs in the world, and creates the most delicious, and phenomenal dishes I've had, including, but not limited to, Gamberi alla Toscanaccia, Fior Di Zucca, Burratta, Tagliata di Manzo, Chicken Parm, and Ortolana di Vitello. “I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place. We’ve been coming here for years and recommend it to friends. Today (8/11/23), however, I came in for the bottle of wine and cheese deal and then cheese plate was shrunken to a tiny platter that made it impossible to cut on it. Also, three olives to two people???? Screw whomever made that decision. Still, we will be back.“

“Our waitress Stephenie was very engaging and helpful when my friend and I were trying to decide on our entrees. I was impressed by the fact that when we informed Stephenie that we were trying to make an 8pm movie at the Malverne cinema ?, she made sure that our food came out in a timely manner. Loved the seasoned fries that came with my chicken basket. Before leaving, we informed her that we would ask for her the next time we planned to dine there. I remember coming to this cafe with my grandparents and friends while I was a student at Malverne high school!“

“A nice little bar with a really fun vibe, friendly staff. Super enjoyable place to sit and relax. I didn’t love the cocktail I ordered (espresso martini), but I think I would absolutely come back and order a house special drink. Definitely somewhere I’d revisit!“
