Can't talk about food as I didn't have any, but service and atmosphere and beer excelled. Came here from Manhattan for a Open Streets 101 Nerd Night. Great location. If I lived here, I'd be here quite often.
One of my fav Astoria bars. I lowkey don't even want to leave this review because I don't want it to be too crowded lol. But the staff and the owner both have a heart of gold and the hotdogs are so delicious. I'm not even a hotdog person but the combinations of flavors are just really unique and delicious + great cocktails local beers and frozen rotating drinks. **Heart of Gold** is a lovely, friendly, and chill place. It is a super cute little local bar that serves local wine and beer, plus great drinks and inventive hot dogs. The cocktails are tasty and the staff is friendly, warm, and inviting. The service is excellent; one guest accidentally arrived early and the waiter was completely kind and gracious. The space is cozy and cute for a group, and the staff is extremely responsive and accommodating for parties. The house red and white wines are very enjoyable, and the pretzel is super satisfying. This is a great local neighbourhood bar that is a very pleasant place to visit.
