Franky's Souvlaki, located on Steinway St, has been a favorite lunch spot for many. Known for their delicious chicken kebabs, the food remains amazing even after many years. The owner's upgrade from a food cart to a food truck has not changed the quality or affordability of the food. With three other locations in Queens, Franky's comfort food selection is tasty and reasonably priced, making it the best souvlaki stand in Astoria for over 20 years. Customers enjoy the pork, sausage, and shrimp skewers, although some mention that the shrimp can be scant for the price. The chicken sticks are also a popular snack, and the fresh and flavorful salad, along with the tasty Greek fries, makes it a gem for shoppers in the area. Recently, the food truck has moved to the other side of the street to accommodate bike lanes, but the quality of the food remains high.
