“I came here after hearing the story behind Souvlaki Lady and was genuinely moved enough that I knew I had to try it while visiting New York. I’m so glad I did. This was one of the best meals I’ve had on my trip.

The souvlaki was fantastic — perfectly grilled, flavorful, tender, and served with fresh pita, vegetables, and sauce that brought everything together without overcomplicating it. It’s exactly the kind of food I love finding when I travel: simple, real, made with care, and full of flavor.

Beyond the food, there’s something special about supporting a local spot like this. You can feel the history and heart behind it. I told her that her story was part of why I came, and she was so kind and happy to hear it. That made the experience even better.
