“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. “I was craving tacos in the middle late at night and was struggling to find anything open that would have decent quality. This place pleasantly surprised me – their tacos were delicious and very well-made. I ordered shrimp, veggie and barbacoa with guacamole as an extra. The portion was huge, and each type of taco was great, not worse than in any nice taco restaurant. Definitely recommend it.“

“Tacos Comal is following what every taco spot in Ny is trying to do; and that is to mimic the ever popular Tijuana style taco of course originating from its name sake and an ever popular option in California. And just like these taqueria in NY that try to mimic the look is there but the flavor cannot seem to get it right. These tacos are 3.5, although I cannot give it in my review it’s not deserving a 4 but mediocre is not by any measure and definitely does not deserve a 3. It falls in a 3.5 category. It’s not that the flavor is bad, it’s more that I don’t taste the authenticity. The salsas were weak and the biggest saving grace of this taco spot is its tortillas, which are definitely delicious.

If you’re looking for a good New York taco this is your spot! If you’re looking for an authentic Mexico or California taco they are to be found elsewhere.“

“The food here is really good. I normally only eat 2 tacos but they were so good I ate 3. My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual but the food and drinks are good. There isn’t that much seating and the entire time we were eating almost every table was full. “A truly amazing spot!! I loved to the neighborhood 1 year ago but only recently ordered from Pollo Loco #2! I ordered a chicken torta. It was everything I hoped for- special bread, quesillo, black bean spread, crisp pickled jalapeño…. The chicken was perfectly cooked moist, and the portion size was perfect. I have sought the perfect torta since 2005, when I lived in the South Bronx. I’ve found it, right in my backyard! The staff is so kind, hardworking, and are so generous as to share such amazing authentic food with us. Grateful!“

The crust was sturdy but proved fluffy, when bitten into. The filling was delicious, even if it wasn't copious (what do you expect in this economy). If I had had ordered a bottle of Jarritos, I would have known when I ordered it that it's not a twist off.“

Overall I saw this place from a chime time review I got the Rasta Pasta which is different then regular more on the sweet side than salty or spicy. Was not bad I actually liked it! Chicken was fall off the bone and smoked very well.

Cons
However my ribs I was for sure disappointed although it was smoked well. I never in my life had my ribs but in squares. There should be an option on if you want them cut never thought I would have to give directions because I never had that happened. When you cut ribs into squares it dries out quicker. That’s why you keep it intact so it stay juicy wrapped around the fat.

Other than that I give it a solid 4 👍🏾

But I will be coming in next time for sure!“
