The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. “Tacos Comal is following what every taco spot in Ny is trying to do; and that is to mimic the ever popular Tijuana style taco of course originating from its name sake and an ever popular option in California. And just like these taqueria in NY that try to mimic the look is there but the flavor cannot seem to get it right. These tacos are 3.5, although I cannot give it in my review it’s not deserving a 4 but mediocre is not by any measure and definitely does not deserve a 3. It falls in a 3.5 category. It’s not that the flavor is bad, it’s more that I don’t taste the authenticity. The salsas were weak and the biggest saving grace of this taco spot is its tortillas, which are definitely delicious.

If you’re looking for a good New York taco this is your spot! If you’re looking for an authentic Mexico or California taco they are to be found elsewhere.“

Chilo's is a versatile kinda spot, if it's early in the afternoon they have some games out for a laid back and family amendable atmosphere to catch up with old friends, as well as themed nights later in the evening that can get pretty busy. It was everything I hoped for- special bread, quesillo, black bean spread, crisp pickled jalapeño…. The chicken was perfectly cooked moist, and the portion size was perfect. I have sought the perfect torta since 2005, when I lived in the South Bronx. I’ve found it, right in my backyard! The crust was sturdy but proved fluffy, when bitten into. The filling was delicious, even if it wasn't copious (what do you expect in this economy). If I had had ordered a bottle of Jarritos, I would have known when I ordered it that it's not a twist off.“

The only complaint I would have is that If you have two workers, they should both be attending to the customers on the line not one doing one thing and the other doing the other it was pretty busy and plus it was a really hot day and I almost passed out in there just waiting everything else is good though, and I would definitely recommend it otherwise“
