“I just ate here and everything was on point. The staff was welcoming and genuinely friendly, the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of as soon as you walk in. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned you can tell they put pride into what they serve. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. “Tacos Comal is following what every taco spot in Ny is trying to do; and that is to mimic the ever popular Tijuana style taco of course originating from its name sake and an ever popular option in California. And just like these taqueria in NY that try to mimic the look is there but the flavor cannot seem to get it right. These tacos are 3.5, although I cannot give it in my review it’s not deserving a 4 but mediocre is not by any measure and definitely does not deserve a 3. It falls in a 3.5 category. It’s not that the flavor is bad, it’s more that I don’t taste the authenticity. The salsas were weak and the biggest saving grace of this taco spot is its tortillas, which are definitely delicious.

If you’re looking for a good New York taco this is your spot! If you’re looking for an authentic Mexico or California taco they are to be found elsewhere.“

If you’re on a budget, you may not want to go there. “My go-to jerk chicken taco spot. I have tried quite a few tasty options but the jerk chicken with the plantain is my favorite. I do wish Taco Tuesday lasted the entire day. Also, it gets tight inside when there are too many people waiting for their orders. Other than that, I have no complaints...“

“The food was the most delicious than any burger joint you can find. The temperature inside is good (just wear a sweater in case) while you eat. Each burger was created with so much flavors and their house made sauce pairs so well with the fries and burger inside. The service was hospitality, great, and nice cashier who took our orders. “I must say that this place surprised me (in a good way). It didn't look like it was anything to write home about but the service was great. During these cold days the bartender offered me one of their special drinks and it was so nice to drink a warm whisky cocktail.

Now, tacos. They are really really really good. I had carnitas and chorizo and would recommend both. No need to go all the way down to Bushwick imo.

Perfect balance of beans, rice, guac, and protein. my husband eats meat but I am vegan and they even have a tofu burrito for vegan protein! They marinated and cooked the tofu so good, you never see this at Mexican or Latin restaurants! We placed an order without cheese for both of us and I forgot the guac and I was so upset so I called them even after placing and paying for the order and asked for guac and the guy was SO NICE, he added the guac to my burrito FREE OF CHARGE!! These people really cater to customer service. Our burritos were fantastic and the service was fast and on point/ they didn’t miss any items we added to the order, now that’s good service!“

They accept cash, card and Zelle.
Ordered 2 tortas; Norteña and campechana. Both were very filling and delicious. I was scared that they would be skinny tortas but they had a good amount of ingredients inside.
We ordered 2 tacos Al pastor the meat was decent the tortillas were thicker than what I’m used to but overall pretty good.
I would come and order again and I’d love to try their breakfast!“

“In a little deli looking storefront is nenes. Smallish spot but big flavor!Prepare to wait at least 20 mins for your order. Theres a ton of delivery pickups from online orders that's how popular they are. I recommend preordering online for pickup if you dont want to wait. Eitherway It was delicious 😋 and worth the wait.
I was happy i got to finally try their birria pizza with their consomme ($26). Easily can feed 4 people. Its cut into 8 slices but the average person can probably eat 2 slices.
Its 3 cheesy 12 to 14 in. tortillas packed with birria and guacamole, layered and toasted to perfection. The one time we didn't take a picture because we were so hungry after a long day, we just wanted to eat. They have a simple menu with tacos, quesadillas and even combo meals. All are worth trying.
Prices are very fair and especially for birria. Theres a small seating area like 6 chairs max for those who want to eat there. I prefer to have at home.
I cant wait to go back again for more.“

Back before Covid I was a regular visitor of Gueros in-person for their delicious nachos and margaritas. No clue why there are negative reviews of Gueros. Literally the best queso dip I’ve had in 18 years living in New York City. Def recommend the fried chicken taco and burrito as well.“

We went to celebrate my birthday with my husband and siblings and honestly… we had such a good time. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super nice and helpful and just made everything feel easy and welcoming. The vibe is really good, cozy, great music, loud enough to vibe in your seat but still easy to talk.

We started with the guacamole & chips and the tostoncitos with birria, both so good. While we were eating, Marcelo (the owner) came by and was so warm and welcoming. You can tell he really cares about the experience.

For food, I got the chimi sandwich with birria (so good), my husband got the mondongo birria, it had a lot of meat (he even said it was a bit much lol) but the flavor was really good. My siblings got the ribeye steak and shrimp tacos with rice and beans and loved it.

The drinks were sooo good, passionfruit mojitos, mocktails, and the Frida Kahlo drink were all a hit.

You can really taste the Dominican-Mexican fusion, which I loved, it’s different in a really good way. Marcelo and his team were all so kind and attentive.

We literally left still talking about how good everything was. Such a vibe. Can’t wait to go back.“

Other Delis offer a smal amount of meat cheese or vegetables , this place offers an above average amount and charges the same price as places that charge more or the same price for less amount of food in amount . “Stepped in here accidentally and was pleasantly surprised. They have taco Tuesday and they’re chicken tacos are great. $5 a piece and on regular happy hour 3-6 they have $5 bites as well. There chicken sliders were very good. The ambient is nice. They use real candles and their payphone prop is interactive which is cool.“
